Peaceful Waterfront Home on the Muskegon River

This 1,300 sf waterfront house is nestled into the hillside of the Muskegon River in Stanwood Michigan on a private road. The quiet country location is peaceful and beautiful yet only 10 minutes from downtown Big Rapids. This meticulously maintained home can be used as a summer getaway on the water or a winter retreat close to snowmobile trails. The main level entrance contains a family room with fantastic river views. There is also a full kitchen, dining area, utility room with washer/dryer, full bath and bedroom on this main level. Relax outside on the huge deck and feel like you are right over the river! Go upstairs for an additional bedroom, full bath and an a large 20x24 living area with scenic river views. Bring your fishing pole and cast a line! Feel free to bring your own boat and attach to the 30' seawall; this river opens up into a large all-sports lake right before Roger's Dam. Two kayaks and life jackets are also available for your use.

Staying at this peaceful waterfront home was an absolute dream. The description is spot on—the house is situated right on the Muskegon River, and the views from the back deck are so peaceful. Everything was better than pictured!

We enjoyed this home so much that we stayed home more than we had planned. It was clean, very well stocked and a beautiful location. The grill was wonderful. We enjoyed the deer prints on the beach area each day and the privacy the home provided. Probably one of the best VRBO locations we have been to.

Our stay at this riverside beauty was peaceful and comfortable; and it felt like home. I can see why all of the reviews are a 10 out of 10. We whole heartedly agree. I especially appreciated the soft linens and new towels. We hosted a Father’s Day lunch for immediate family and the deck was perfect! We will definitely stay again.

Perfect Lake House Weekend

This house was exactly what my friends & I were looking for to host a fall kayaking weekend. The host was extremely accommodating, even let us check in early. They were quick to respond to all questions and even left us snacks 😃. The house is perfectly set up, comfortable and located close to town.

We were gifted to have a second chance in life and blessed to have found each other. Kevin was born and raised in Utah, Gail is a Michigan resident. When we realized how well we blended, we also decided to blend our residences! So with a house in Utah and now this beautiful river house in Michigan, we decided it was the perfect home to share with others when we can't be there.

We love the relaxation of the river as well as sharing this with others. Whether it's floating on a boat, kayaking or fishing, we were drawn to the water and the beautiful sunsets this area brings.
