October Anniversary

The house was clean and welcoming. Plenty of lighting in each room. The bunk room was a nice feature for additional guests. The tiki bar area with the television, hot tub, and second kitchen was great. Great view of the ocean and sunrise/sunset on the top floor. Having a lift would help with carrying belongings up and down the stairs since there are 2 sets of stairs. Kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary utensils. Refrigerators worked great. Beds and bedding were comfortable. AC worked great.Thank you

Weekend of fun

I want to thank y'all for the best wedding. This house is beautiful and has a lot of room. We could not get the music going inside the house. We just might have to save up and stay there again, or maybe a smaller place for just my husband and me.

We had an amazing stay.... already thinking when to rent it again... wished we could have stayed longer. We all loved the middle deck with the bar, hot tub and small kitchen.The only small picky thing was that the door code didnt work.. but just used the keys in the lock box!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Waves and Whiskey! The private access to the beach was a game-changer — it made everything so convenient and allowed us to spend hours by the water without any hassle. The location is perfect, offering breathtaking views right from the property. The downstairs room was fantastic for the kids, giving them their own space to hang out and enjoy the beach vibe. We especially loved the kitchen on the bottom floor, which made it super easy and convenient to relax and hang at the bar. There's truly nothing better than soaking in a hot tub while taking in the incredible view of the ocean. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day on the beach. Overall, Waves and Whiskey exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to come back. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing, beachside escape!

True On the Beach Experience

If you're looking for a true in the beach vacation, look no further. Wake up to a sunrise on the deck, walk to the beach and hangout for the day, enjoy the views in the evening, watch movies at night in front of the massive outdoor bar area or while relaxing in the hot tub. Great house, fun location!

Excellent - 5 Stars (even with less than ideal weather)

Our trip was on the tail end of a rare snow and ice storm in January of 2025. Fortunately, we didn't incur any travel delays or power outages despite airport and road closures the day before our arrival. Once we were settled into Waves & Whiskey, we were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful gulf views and local restaurants/amenities. The cooler temps and high winds never did allow for extended time outdoors (without being in the hot tub) but we still had a great visit with friends and family! The house was well suited for our group size and it is so easy to get to stores and restaurants - including a nice afternoon at Margarittavillle. A great getaway for sure.

Excellent location and great amenities

Three families, 6 adults and 6 kids stayed at this property for 5 nights in December and had a great time. The property is located by the beach and has all the amenities as listed online. Everything we needed was available at the property. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub and easy access to the beach. My only complaint was with the room in the lower level (2nd floor) which had no windows and was kind of muggy even with AC turned on. The floors are high and that makes someone old or with physical condition tough time to climb up. An elevator would be great add, similar to one in the adjacent property

Great location on the beach!

This house has a great view and is a very short distance from the sand. The interior and decking are very nice and comfortable and the kitchen is huge! My family truly enjoyed our stay here and will be coming back in the future.

Home was beautiful and well maintained. A caution might be posted that the stairs can be challenging for older folk and “bunk room” is not accessible from main living area. Probably not advisable to assume the “kids” can sleep on that level unattended.

Great views, Great House, Great Atmosphere

The best views of the Gulf from both levels of the decks are unmatched. The house was perfect for our large group with room to spare. The restaurants and bars nearby are an added plus. All around our favorite option for visiting Crystal Beach! Never disappointed!

Perfect relaxing beachfront vacation

We had a great week at Waves & Whiskey! The house is perfect for multiple families and the spacious deck is awesome for hanging out in the sun or the shade any time of day. The ocean breeze made even hot days comfortable on the deck. The house had everything we needed to cook but I was also pleasantly surprised that there were tons of awesome restaurants/bars close by with great food. Overall a great choice for a relaxing week!

Beautiful Home and Perfect Location

We absolutely loved our weekend at the Waves & Whiskey house! The kitchen is gorgeous and perfect for game nights. By far, our favorite part of the house was the second floor deck. The outdoor bar area with the TV had ample room for outdoor games, beach watching, etc. The additional refrigerator/sink on that level was the icing on top. I had read some of the reviews about the mosquitoes and while they were definitely a problem, especially when the winds were calm, they did not bother us on the deck. There were some stickers in the yard which could pose a problem for kids and/or dogs, but we had neither, so were not much of an issue. We rented a golf cart from Golf Cart Connection and it was delivered right to the house. The location is great and with the golf cart, we rarely had to move our vehicle. Overall, this house is fantastic and one we will definitely book in the future.

Great Location!

Relaxing weekend and space for everyone to comfortably enjoy the home. The house is conveniently located right on the beach. The host was super responsive and was willing to help when needed. Highly recommend for a fun and relaxing stay!

Cleanest Home i have ever been too.

By far the cleanest property i have ever stayed at. Easy check in and out process. Beautiful views. It is exactly like the pictures. It wasnt a problem but something i didnt realize. On the second level the kichen is seperate from the bedrooms. We had 10 adults and a toddler and had more than enough room. Plenty of towels and dishware. Phenominal air conditioner. I wanted to bring the kitchen island/table home with me. We enjoyed the second level so much. Great beach access. So thankful for the outdoor shower and water hoses on every level. You need a 4 wheel drive or at the minimum front wheel drive to get in and out. We got stuck a couple times. Wonderful people helped us get out. Once we figured out that you had to come in pretty hot and get a good run we were good to go. The neighbors said it was from the trash trucks. They have really messed up the drive. The stairs..oh dear the stairs. Im 51 and they kicked my tail. But once your up the view makes up for it. The neighbors to east are the best. I highly recommend this property. We only lost power once for a few hours the last night we were there. It was the whole island. We did family pictures on the beach our last day. If you are looking for a true beach house this is it. And the sand/grass spurs do suck....just wear your shoes in the yard and you are golden. So many food options close by and the ferry was awesome. Very worth every cent. Did i mention how clean it was?

Great Stay at Waves and Whiskey!!!

We rented Waves and Whiskey for a ladies trip. There were 15 of us and the house held us perfectly. The proximity to the beach and town was perfect. We rented golf carts to get around. The porch on the Mezzanine level was an amazing place for all of us to hang out and listen to music. The house had everything we needed for our stay. If we come back to the area we will definitely consider this house again. Would definitely rent from Bolivar Vacations again as well. Everything was exactly as planned and the communication with them was excellent!! Thank you for providing us with wonderful memories we will never forget <3

Great Family Adventure

The house was great for our family of 14. Plenty of room to spread out. Great 2nd floor for gathering and partying. The 3rd floor was great for getting away from the mob and relaxing. Great access to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked. I love the easy check in, clean up and check out. Everything was clean and well kept. We had a blast! Thank you!

What an amazing Property!

What a house! excellent location, access to the beach was amazing. The amenities were awesome! Clean, spacious, well decorated and furnished. The management team does an amazing job of providing you timely information. The only minor issue was with one of the sliding doors to a bed room, but it was a negligible issue next to all the Pros. Hopefully we can book this property again next year.
