Peaceful Ocean View Villa - ocean and jungle views. walk to beach and waterfall

Our two-story ocean-view villa is located in a secure gated community walking distance from Playa Dominicalito, a family-friendly beach ideal for lounging, swimming, and surfing.

The villa has an open concept living, dining room and newly remodeled kitchen with panoramic floor to ceiling windows looking out on to the ocean and jungle below, and a large covered terrace. This villa includes a private pool off the main terrace.

The two bedroom suites with walk out terraces include full ensuite bathrooms. 1 bedroom has a king bed. The other bedroom has 2 twin beds. The bedroom level includes a full laundry room and a common area to watch TV, for kids to hang out and a futon. Due to the sleeping arrangements, the house is suitable for 4 adults and 1-2 children or maximum 5 adults.

The property is two-wheel drive accessible and just off the paved road connecting the towns of Dominical, Uvita, and Ojochal. From our villa, guests may enjoy access to world-class restaurants and points of interest, including Marino Ballena National Park's famous Whale's Tail Beach, Nauyaca Waterfalls, and the Poza Azul.

WE LOVED OUR STAY IN THIS VILLA! Enclave of homes has gated entrance. Beach, cafe and grocery store all convenient. Villa surrounded by trees (making it private and quiet) with an ocean view. House is lowest down in enclave so easier to walk back up the hill from the beach! We spent a lot of time outside, under the palapa and in the swinging hammock chair and the comfy furniture. The small pool was perfect to cool off and enjoy in the evening whilst stargazing. It's serviced daily. Very well-stocked kitchen, including many pans, utensils, super blender, coffee maker, wine fridge and ice maker (in big fridge). Living room furniture was comfy - Netflix was much appreciated by our teens.Large ensuite bathrooms and comfy beds in each of the two bedrooms. Air conditioning on the main floor and in each bedroom worked perfectly, but sometimes we opted for ceiling fan cooling so we could just have screen door open and listen to the activity in the trees. Even a ceiling fan under the outdoor palapa thatched roof, making sitting outside very desirable even with the heat. The villa was squeaky clean upon arrival. WE WOULD ABSOLUTELY RETURN TO STAY HERE AGAIN! Pura Vida!

Beautiful ocean view condo

The condo is much larger than I expected. It's lovely! It also has a great ocean view from the bedroom balconies and the living room and decks. The kitchen is large and well equipped. My only criticism is about the third "bedroom"/bed. It could be made more clear that it's not an actual bedroom. It's a hallway that the two bedrooms open up to. I would consider that a sitting area. It's not necessarily appropriate for an adult, in my opinion. We booked knowing it was a futon, thinking itcwas a futon sofa in the family room, for my college age son. It was small,, an not comfortable for a big college guy. Maybe after a night out, someone would be okay with it. My son slept upstairs on the main sofa.. that was fine. It wasn't a nig deal, but if you're planning on a couple sleeping on it, the might be uncomfortable. Otherwise, we loved the place. It's directly across the street from the beack, walking distance. It's absolutely perfect. Loved our stay! It's about 20 minutes from Uvita, they recommended some restaurants that we went to, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Wonderful house on the hill

The house was perfect for our family of 3. We loved the outside area, view from the deck is so wonderful. Some great restaurants in the area, La Parcella was a very special treat. I would recommend this rental for a family of 3/4 or 5 looking for a quieter location with a great beach winin walking distance. The only thing to keep in mind is the road noise is evedent from the house.

Wonderful Just what we hoped it would be. Alex’s brother , Grieben, gave us a great tour. Giesselle provided a wonderful dinner. The house was charming, rustic with a great view. We saw spider monkeys playing in the trees.

Good ocean view. Jungle setting. Comfortable furnishing. Nice balcony, patio and pool. Drying rack would have been nice. Wonderful steep but manageable 10 minute walk to beach. Intermittant highway noise but tolerable.

Family Vacation

This property was incredible! Travelling for adventure with a 12, 14 and 17 yr old we struck gold with this place. BEAUTIFUL views, quiet evenings/nights, warm & welcoming property staff. We would walk down to the beach for swimming and surfing. We had wonderful meals at the gorgeous nearby yoga studio/cafe. We enjoyed quick dips in the pool during our early afternoon reset between visiting Manuel Antonio, Dominical and Ballena Marie. A half day adventure and hike to Nauyaca was easily accomplished in the first part of the day making it a magical experience. During an afternoon in the pool we had a lovely visit by the Cappuchin monkeys, including a momma with a baby. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. While it was fun to visit the busier strips of nearby surf towns, coming “home” to this rental in Dominicalito was a blessing. We were so lucky!!!! And the sunrise/sunset views from the balcony were breathtaking

A very memorable trip

This is our first trip to Costa Rica and did not know what to expect. What we didn't expect was this beautiful home in a beautiful gated community. The view is absolutely gorgeous combining Costa Rica's lush greens and the stunning ocean. The home is simply decorated and well equipped with all the necessities you really need. The beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are roomy with beautiful fixtures. Equipped with 3 well working A/C units, we were very comfortable. We hung out every night on the patio/pool to enjoy the view and nature. My son was so happy to see the monkeys passed by thoughout our stay. The owner is accommodating and responsive. The owner works with a local concierge, which to us was a big plus. He helped us scheduled all activities and always available with any questions we may have, which made our trip easy and fun. Overall, one of the best trips!!!!

Great house great location

We were looking for a place close enough to walk to the beach to surf but also up the hill bit so we could see birds and wildlife from the house. It's not an easy balance to strike in this area really. But the best thing about this place is it nailed it. I was able to walk to Playa Dominicalito and surf dawn patrol, grab a bag of mangoes from the dude with the fruit stand and come home to watch toucans and incredible birds while eating breakfast. House was clean, views were great, all appliances on point. They should put a hammock on the porch and it it would be perfection. Also one word of caution: pulling out onto the highway on a steep slope and badly potholed road is treacherous - look out for people pulling out to pass in the opposite lane as you pull out. We narrowly avoided a head on collision by inches. It's not required, but next time I rent this place I'll make sure I have 4wd and an automatic transmission to deal with that slope. And I would certainly rent this place again. It was pretty darn heavenly.

Perfect vacation spot for location and amenities

Lovely and convenient location. Across the street from Domenicalito beach and 10 minutes down the road to Domenical where there are great shops and restaurants and amazing beach! The gated community is very quiet and safe. Highly recommend for 4 person getaway!!

Perfect location

Canto del Mar is a very quiet and safe community in front of the beautiful Dominicalito beach, which is perfect for family surf. David, the property manager, is a wonderful person and we had an amazing service.

Quaint little house

The pictures were a little deceiving. There are only 2 rooms. One has a king bed and the other has 2 twin beds. The hot water does not last long. Only 1 TV if you wanted to watch a movie at night you can’t do it in the bedroom. Furniture is not very comfortable, but over all the place is nice.

Love the area and how close the property is to so many different things to do

The house is always up to date with appliances, it is clean and beautiful view. David is available 24/7 and it is easy to coordinate activities through him. He is very attentive and always making sure we are having a great time. We love walking to the beach in the morning and walking back to the house, it is great exercise! Canto Del Mar is a beautiful area.

Sunkissed Villa is Perfection!

We stayed at Sunkissed Villa for a week, and it was perfect for us (a family of 4 including 18 and 15 yo boys)! The villa layout was great with the bedrooms - each with a full bath - downstairs, along with an area for watching movies. The first floor open plan layout allowed views out no matter where you were. We spent tons of time on the terrace, watching the birds and monkeys, looking out over the Pacific, and taking a turn in the pool. The kitchen was well stocked (we like to cook) and the entire Villa was so comfortable. We also can't thank the Property Manager David O enough for all if his help setting up adventures for us, linking us with guides for park tours, and recommending a place to get required Covid tests. He was amazing. Thank you all for a fabulous vacation! We hope to be back in the future.

Lovely and very clean villa

Thank you again for hosting us in the Sun Kissed Villa last month. The villa was lovely and very clean-exactly as seen in pictures. We spent most evenings at the villa and appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. Our favorite spot was the terrace. The view was amazing, and the pool was a great bonus. And we really appreciated the Christmas decorations! The location of the villa was outstanding. We loved Domincal and visited several times to eat at your recommended restaurants, to shop, and to surf. We also loved being so close to Playa Dominalito and Uvita. All of the locals were extremely kind and helpful. One of the best things about booking with you was working with David. He did an excellent job of bookings tours and activities. Our favorites were surfing, snorkeling, zip lining and horseback riding. He was ALWAYS available when I had questions. As a first-time visitor to Costa Rica, his service made me feel less anxious and comfortable about traveling. We all agreed that we would all love to return to Costa Rica in the future. It was the perfect place for a family with active teenagers.

My girlfriend and I came to this amazing place with our three young children for three nights. The house was extremely comfortable and clean, the location is perfect, with everything we wanted to do all very close. White faced monkeys on the balcony, toucans, large iguanas and parrots. A jungle paradise, we hope to return soon.

I am totally in love with the location, there are so many things to do! It was a perfect getaway for our family. The pool amenities were great for the kids and the house was very clean. All the recommendations by David were spot on. Me and my husband went skydiving in the local town.

Canto Del Mar was an amazing stay for us!❤️

We absolutely fell in love with this villa! We are a family of 4- having 2 daughters, ages 16 & 18. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us and you can’t beat the beautiful views. You can hear the waves 24/7! We felt like we were staying in the jungle yet had a comfortable and peaceful place to be. We had Capuchin monkeys, Howler monkeys, toucans and iguanas around almost every day! David is an awesome host and answered our questions quickly. We got to meet him a few days in and it was great to put a face to the name. The plunge pool is just big enough to cool you down and sitting on the balcony reading and taking in the view was something we did every day. There are numerous places to eat- all were great and the larger supermarkets had everything we needed. Visit the Manuel Antonio National Park while you’re here- David will help you find a guide! Amazing to see the animals of Costa Rica in their natural habitat. We would stay here again in a heartbeat - Pura Vida!

A Slice of Paradise

Having never been to Costa Rica before, we didn't really know what to expect. We were, without question, thrilled with our time there, and especially the villa. The home is split level, with the bedrooms downstairs, which helped at night keeping things cooler. Upstairs offers a large number of windows that facilitate views that are beyond belief. The kitchen is large enough to make a full meal, and offers a refrigerator with ice, dishwasher, toaster oven, stove, and blender so that smoothies may be made. Make sure to get up early and sit on the deck so that you can see toucans, a sloth or two, and, of course, various monkeys. There's also a pool, that whilst smallish, is large enough for a family of four. Late night swims under the stars as well as in early morning make for wonderful memories.

The property is beautiful. The construction is recent and the atention to detail is amazing.

Finding supermarkets, places to eat, beaches to go and plans to do is super easy and everything is near. On the other hand, if you just want to stay home, enjoy the view and the mountains sounds, while making a bbq meal and let the kids play in the pool is also as easy to do. Overall, is a greta piece of Costa Rican paradise to enjoy.
