Peaceful Higgins Lake Retreat

Enjoy a private peaceful setting surrounded by mature trees and the calming sound of Big Creek located on the property. Quaint cabin with modern updates is perfect for a solo, couple or small family of 3 getaway. The cabin has 1 bedroom with a queen size bed. There is an oversized couch to sleep on for an extra guest as well as a 3 season furnished sunroom. Kitchen and bathroom have been semi-updated with plenty of room to cook and prepare meals. The cabin does not have AC, we have 3 woozi remote control fans throughout the cabin. Large deck overlooking the creek and property and a firepit to enjoy the summer and fall nights. Coveniently located 3 minutes from North Higgins Lake State Park, there is also a paved bike trail a few minutes away. Higgins Lake is 1 block from the cabin. All amenities are included, such as a fully stocked kitchen, towels and linens all provided. Enjoy the chill vibe and beautiful crystal clear waters of Higgins Lake in the summer and the fall color change and gorgeous groomed xc ski trails nearby for winter getaways.

The place is adorable and I loved the sun room, which is nice and cozy. The best part of the property is the backyard! We saw a beaver in the creek and found it to be a peaceful place to sit and relax.

The cotttage was clean & bed comfortable. Kitchen could use better fry pans. The biggest issue was no air conditioning. The temps were in the 90s & 3 small fans provided. We bought 2 larger fans but still unbearable.

Great little place!!

What a great little place! Everything was as listed. Great running or biking trail nearby (around North State Park). Maybe 100 yards from Silver Dollar for meals. Adorable back yard with stream. Really good amenities (soaps, shampoos, etc.). Good wifi.

Just beautiful

We really loved this little cabin. It was perfect for the two of us. It is centrally located so easy access to both state parks. The owner just thought of every little thing to make our stay comfortable. Plus- the back yard is like a little fairy garden with a sweet creek running next to it and lights strung. Walkable neighborhood nearby and just a short walk to Higgins Lake. I highly recommend this one!

Great place to stay!

The cabin has a little stream and is a short walk to the lake. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. The cabin is amazing. Has everything you need and was very clean.

Weekend away fishing on the Au Sable

This cabin was a perfect spot to get away. Jennifer was an exceptional host! The cabin was close enough to everything that I wanted to do and felt like home when coming back.

Lil Kim Cottage

Attention to every tiny detail! This cottage is quite spacious for a one bedroom. It was a perfect fit for us…a mother, daughter and grandson. Beautifully decorated and still had so much original charm from the vintage appliances to the massive antique sink in perfect condition. Everything you could need was at our fingertips from fans to heaters. We were greeted with a bottle of Rosé, the linens were top notch and the sofas were solid, comfortable and spacious. Water pressure was great and towels luxurious! She had magical outdoor lighting and anything else you could need was available in the shed…grill, beach chairs and floats, etc. Cottage was clean, offered books and games, plus Wi-Fi, with Netflix, & Amazon Prime. The owner was quick to respond and very kind. Wouldn’t have changed a thing and will most definitely book again in the future. Could see the lake from the front, nice short walk to Higgins. Amazing location close to pretty much everything. North beach right around the corner.

Higgin's Lake Getaway

We live in Northwestern Michigan and have a pontoon boat and we had never been to Higgin's Lake. The experience was great. Close to the State Park where we put the boat in. Nice neighborhood to walk in. We cooked out one night and had a fire. Later, firebugs!!!

My husband and I enjoyed the cabin inside and outside. Nicely set up kitchen had great appliances. Peaceful enclosed porch provided nice relaxation. Little touches throughout were appreciated. Close to the North Park beach
