Great Hocking getaway

Nice cabin and perfect for families. Great location…about 15 min to grocery store or 15 min to hiking trails. Will def stay here again.

Had a great time

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean and had all the basics we needed. It was located close enough to all the things we wanted to do. But still felt far away from everyone. The staff was great had an issue with the tv called the office and they sent someone out within 15-20 mins to resolve the issue. Will definitely stay here again next time we decide to visit the area.

Great place to stay!

Stayed here for the weekend and it was a great choice! The cabin was very nice and clean and the hot tub was obviously the best part. We were surprised to see other cabins so close but we ended up not even noticing our other neighbors. It was nice. The only thing that really bothered us was seeing trash in the woods from our balcony , from previous guests. Other than that we had a great time. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Cabin!

Cabin was perfect for our family of 4! Great location for activities. A few cons but only listed as an FYI: Kitchen needs a few more pots and pans. The grill was really, really dirty. Desperately needs a deep clean so don’t plan on using it. Would absolutely visit again.

premium price to become a housekeeper

The facility is smaller than in the pics due to generous use of a wide angle lens. Making your customers do all the housekeeping jobs at checkout (removing bedding, gathering all garbage bags and hauling it to the dumpster a 1/4 mile away) is insulting for the price we paid.

Not Worth the Money

Total money trap. One fireplace doesn't work. Hot tub was dirty. Bed was insanely uncomfortable. Found a dirty sock. We have to clean before leaving but also pay a cleaning fee. The fees were almost as much as the cabin. Property management was extremely rude. Waste of money!!!

Great stay but needs minor work

We stayed here as a get away from reality and it did just that however, it's hard for me to wrap my head around areas like this that have such awful wifi.(I know 1st world problems) but at the end of the day we sit back watch TV and couldn't because the wifi was bad...I had to use my phone as a hotspot. Secondly we show up and find a dirty handtowel thrown over the bottom shower curtain, I assume from the cleaners but who knows. The overall cabin was a great size for the 2 of us could easily have a family of 4 there. The cabin did need some work, doorknobs were hanging out of the door on bottom floor, heavy layers of dust in light in bathroom and above doorjambs, and a good sized spiderweb in corner of shower. (Whats the cleaning fee for again) bed sheets were ripped at the toe of the one side of the bed and there were left over ashes from cigareets on porch and the TV remote HOME button didnt work. However, I'd stay here again as it's close to everything and overall a good stay and accommodations like the 2 electric fireplaces, hot tub (didn't use) and appliances were really nice.

We strongly encourage guests to reach out to us with any concerns so they can be corrected immediately. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the local internet providers and provide what is available in the area. Luckily, we are one of the few locations heading S on 664 that get cell phone reception for most providers.

absolutely horrible

We recently stayed at this property, and let me tell you for the price of the property per night, it was not worth it. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, there are hardly any furnishings throughout the cabin. Water pressure is horrible. When we FINALLY arrived after having to drive over 3 hours due to the weather conditions of winter storm Logan, there was garbage left in the trashcan from previous renters. There was a half drank energy drink left in the bathroom down stairs, the hot tub was FILTHY!! Going back to the weather, we contacted the resort (I understand there are cancelation policies in order, but due to the unforeseeable weather conditions) , to see if there was something we could do , like reschedule for the following weekend or maybe even a 50% refund, but no, they said "our roads are plowed" and they were NOT. They were actually in a level 3 weather emergency, had to take a detour 25 minutes out of our way to get to the cabin, and more than 50% of the residents and cabins lost power, including us, the power kept flickering on and off. Also they are not very good at telling guests where the cabins are located, two separate times a couple tried to get into our cabin because they were not given the right direction. So as you can tell , my fiancé and I had an absolutely HORRIBLE time. 0/10 recommendation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thomas & Guests, We are very disappointed to see your review and hear you did not enjoy your stay. Unfortunately, we do have cancellation policies as noted and agreed to when booking. We agree the weather is definitely frustrating at times - especially in Ohio during the winter season. The area was hit with winter weather and our cabins were one of the few in the area luckily enough to maintain power and have road access. The county was at a level 3 like other surrounding counties that morning and then lowered by early afternoon as we kept monitoring for our guests. Our team cleared and treated roads multiple times to ensure our guests had the easiest access in and out of our property. VRBO does offer cancellation insurance for travelers – we recommend guests review these options to see if this is something that they should consider, as we do have firm cancellation policies as noted. Housekeeping had no calls from your group regarding any issues with the hot tub or cabin the entire weekend. We advise all guests to reach out to us with any concerns to address IMMEDIATELY, as we want you to have an exceptional stay with us and enjoy all of the amenities offered. Double checking our log system, the hot tub had a complete drain, clean and refill prior to your arrival. All of our cabins have signs or numbers for identification purposes and we provide property maps to all of our guests. We apologize that other guests were confused upon arrival. We will continue to provide the property map as a reference for guests along with the directions as noted in our arrival letters. We appreciate your feedback. HHCR

Beautiful property!

Beautiful setting in the woods. Neighbors are close, but very quiet. This cabin was one of the CLEANEST places I've ever stayed. We prepared every meal in the cabin & had plenty of cooking amenities. There in not a dishwasher in this unit, but we didn't mind. A washer & dryer downstairs were quite a surprise since it wasn't mentioned in the listing. Would have liked a place to put our unpacked clothes. Either a dresser or some shelves. We will definitely be back, loved our stay.

Hocking Hills

Over all very nice cabin new build and very nice furniture. Would have liked to seen curtains on the sliding doors , sheets to the fold out couch, more than 1 spoon and Would have liked to seen a few more baking dishes to bake with . A step would have been nice to get in the hot tub. I would differently stay again very nice.
