In addition to condo amenities, our neighborhood hosts 3 pools, a golf course, and for larger events, guests rent space from the neighborhood HOA office at the very top of the mountain.

Literally Best Stay I’ve Ever Had

Our host, Ed, was plenty more than helpful, and accommodated me and my now wife plentiful during our wedding weekend stay! Everything was clean and communicated easily, as Ed was responsive to any questions we had, and even personally congratulated us! Wonderful spot, wonderful views, wonderful host! 11/10 Recommended!

We stayed at the cozy cub condo and it was terrible. We knew by the pictures that the condo was dated, but that didn’t concern us. When we got there we were met with a very musty smell. We also quickly noted many areas where there appeared to be water damage that was either painted over or not addressed at all. The unit was filthy. There were many areas that had dead bugs, layers of dust, and the carpets were stained and sticky. The furniture was all extremely worn and the loveseat felt like it would fall apart at any moment. The pullout sofa clearly hadn’t been used in sometime and was full of bugs, crumbs, and dirt. The host did send a cleaning crew out the next day but they only addressed a few of the areas I told him about. Unfortunately after the cleaners came we started noticing ants coming from the cleaning closet and notified the host with no response. We spent the remainder of the stay killing ants. This property also advertises 3 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna. The hot tub didn’t work the whole stay and one of the outdoor pools was closed. The steam room worked the last 2 days of the stay but the indoor pool was always extremely cloudy. The host was notified about the ants and amenities with no response.The only good thing was the view. I wouldn’t recommend this complex and will not stay here again

R &R in the Smokies

We were impressed with the efficiency of the owner and his detail of the property and how to use it to our comfort. It was comfortable for two adults.Everything functioned as expected, access was a breeze and it was clean! We only recommend new couches, they were sufficient for our needs, but are losing their comfortability. Excellent property at at very reasonable fee. Thank you.

Not what we expected

We have stayed at Deer Ridge for over 20 years and have always been pleased, until now. It was dated (70's dishwasher, 80's stove and refrigerator, 90's tv in the bedroom) the blind in the bathroom was broken which we took a picture and immediately notified the owner so we wouldn't be blamed. The views are phenomenal but for what we paid for the unit we could have stayed in a much nicer, updated place nearly anywhere in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. We returned to Deer Ridge because it's our favorite place but won't be returning to this particular unit. The curtains in the bedroom were 100% from the 70's because they were gold satin lol! The carpet was in need of at least a deep clean if not replaced. It was fine for a place to sleep but definitely not what we have come to expect from Deer Ridge.

Disappointed with the view

Place was okay. I was, however, disappointed because it was listed as having a great view. Yes, the mountains were beautiful, but first, it was marred by being able to see the highway as well as some kind of club or golf course or something. And second, when standing on the deck, I could also hear the traffic on the highway. For the price it would have been nicer to not have to see and hear a highway.

This unit was very clean and the mountain views are outstanding!! The bed was comfortable and we loved waking up to the beautiful mountain view each morning. We will stay again in the future!!

WORN OUT

This unit was dated and worn out. The only new item in the unit was the roll of paper towels on the counter! The sofa and love seat were worn out, the dining room chairs were . wobbly and the mattress was not comfortable.The screen door going out to the deck was tricky to open. The toilet made a high pitch noise everytime it was flushed.The carpet was worn and the tack strip holding the carpet down going into the bathroom could be felt. The unit had an odor.The tv in the bedroom was tiny and we never figured how to change the channels. We had a bee problem the first morning, in which I was stung.. Called to report the problem at 8:28 am and texted at 8:40 am, got an answer back at 11:33am. They did come and spray. when we were out.We had enough and left on Sunday, a day early.Will not be going back! .

Truly lovely little condo!

The condo was so cute and typically -Gatlinburg! The bear decor was so nice and kitschy, and we saw 2 bear cubs with their momma at the bottom of Deer Ridge when we first turned in upon arrival, so the scene was set! The views were AMAZING and the bed was really comfy. The only complaint is there wasn't a skillet in the condo. But we will definitely be returning!

We’ve stayed at various condos at Deer Ridge over the years, and always have had a very enjoyable experience. The pool is always very clean, there’s on site coin laundry available. My one complaint regarding this specific condo is the lack of cooking utensils. It didn’t have a simple frying pan or spatula to cook eggs or pancakes or anything like that. Beyond that, the condo was very clean and well kept.

Gorgeous View

This property is in a great location for its gorgeous view of the colorful fall mountains. I couldn't be more satisfied with the owners' quick responses to my questions. The space is perfect for 2 people but needs a little TLC. I don’t like to complain on reviews but the fridge only got slightly cool and freezer does not work - any frozen food we had defrosted overnight. It could also use a better cleaning including the carpet.

Location, location, location!! Excellent view and amenities! Exactly as listed!

What an amazing place. The view in pictures does not begin to prepare you. Waking up to coffee on the balcony and ending the night watching the sun disappear with a nice beverage was a blessing. Ed was organized and we received instructions in plenty of time to prepare. The instructions for the address and room entry could not have been more clear to us. We didn’t need anything when we arrived. There was plenty of space in the kitchen, The quarters were cozy and comfortable. It was nice to be away from the city and have a quiet relaxing place to swim, hot tub, and enjoy the sauna. We will be back, if we are near Gatlinburg again!! Thank you Ed. Ps there was a nice TV package available for a rainy day.

Great stay

Everything was wonderful. The home had everything I needed, the views were amazing from the back deck, the pool and hot tub were just what I needed after a day of touring Gatlinburg. The bed was very comfortable, except the pillow, but that is a personal preference. Nice, relaxing stay and met a lot of very nice people.

I have aspirations of retiring to the mountains and managing 5 of our own properties and 15 other luxury vacation rentals. A condo purchase in May of 2018 represents our 3rd property. In November of 2023, I purchased a fourth property, a railroad caboose. Throughout 2024, we will be converting the Caboose to a luxury 1 bedroom property with a goal of having it on rental for spring of 2025.

In 2013, we took over the daily management of the properties. We aren't perfect but we do believe in continuous improvement. We consider our places to be part of your vacation experience and as such we are part of 100's of joyous times with families and friends. Our hope is that the cabin & your stay in this beautiful city is a wonderful, lifelong memory.

Convenient to Smoky Mountain National Forest, Gatlinburg. Quiet neighborhood with dedicated security and plow service. Surrounded by national parklands which result in a massive amount of wildlife all around us. Relaxing mountain views.

A short drive to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and Biltmore Estate.

Roads maintained by the HOA, winter snows are addressed immediately making chains or 4 WD unnecessary. As legal disclaimer assumes vehicle operator exercised prudent judgment using plowed roads. I personally have not used 4 WD to access the property and have had about 6 snows now.
