Osprey 301 is a beautiful 3 bedroom/3 bath 2400+ square foot condo at Destin West on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach.

Osprey 301 features:
Master has King bed, access to large balcony, extra large bathroom with his/her sinks, jetted tub, separate walk in shower and a large walk in closet
Guest Bedroom #2 has a queen bed plus a bunk bed and has attached bathroom
Guest Bedroom #3 has a queen bed and bathroom next door.
Extra large open kitchen with huge breakfast bar for additional seating
Large dining room
Large Living room that is open to kitchen and dining room and has a sleeper sofa

There was a lot of space in the condo for all 9 of our group, including three small children, and we enjoyed the condo very much. There was plenty of parking, and we were able to find spaces under the building, which was very nice.The kids enjoyed the pools and the lazy river, although the water was a little cool for the adults.The rooms were clean and the furnishings were nice, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking in.Everyone agreed that they would be happy to stay here again for future trips.

Great place for kids

We really loved it! The kids fished on the pier, played in the bay, played in two different pools, and floated in the lazy river! And the adults were right there with them having fun too! We will definitely come back!

Amazing condo!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience! We have stayed many times at Destin West and this condo was by far the best! It is so spacious! They really thought of everything you could need. They even had an extra twin mattress in the master closet for a child! They also had a pack and play and highchair. As a parent I really appreciate touches like that! Lots of extra pillows and blankets. Great amount of towels. They had lots of kitchen supplies too. We did bring our air fryer to make things even better.

lazy river and beach access both at the same complex was great. super roomy place. most comfy bed I've ever had at a vacation rental! beach wagon supplied with the unit has seen better days. we really loved it, had a great time

It was nice

The place was nice. Some issues with condo. No locks on bathrooms or bedrooms. Dryer squeaked loudly. One of the AC units needed attention. Garbage disposal stopped working and sink backed up the day before we left. The condo was clean and nice it just needed some upkeep.

Spacious Condo

Condo was very spacious for a family of nine. The only disappointment was the sofa bed is broken and we actually needed it. This condo therefore sleeps 8 people instead of 10 as advertised. Everything else was nice.

The blinds were old dirty and broken and many slats missing.

The rugs were dirty and worn and old. Couch was stained. Outside furniture rusty and dirty cushions. The loveseat is held together with bungy cords. The patio doors all stick and very hard to open. One door was broken and could not be locked. Dryer had huge rust spots on the top. Range is old and heat level numbers are all missing. The owners need to spend a little money and replace all the rugs at the very least. We were required to remove all trash before check out and the trash shoot was over flowing and trash bags all over the trash room. The condo was very disappointing and we will not be returning.

Wonderful stay!!

You will not be disappointed with this rental!! We had 10 family members in our group including adults, teenagers, younger children, and an infant. This unit offers plenty of space to gather around the table for family meals or card games, as well as spreading out for nap time. The main deck was very spacious and overlooked the water, which made morning coffee time very peaceful. Easy access to the beach and multiple pools. We needed a couple things during our stay and the host responded very promptly. Overall a great experience and we would definitely vacation here again!

301 Osprey

Beautiful views. The space was huge and clean. A bit lacking in decorating that could make it feel homier. Nails in walls but nothing on them… There were paint patches on walls that had been left unpainted (spackled?). Fresh Paint definitely needed in bedrooms. Lighting in the living space was dim. Outlets in Master bath didn’t work. Pillows were flat and not supportive.

Review of Osprey 301

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second trip to DestinWest, staying in the Osprey building. We loved our experience last time, and it was hard to beat. We stayed in 403 before, and I thought this unit would be similar. Because first appearances are so important, I would recommend repainting or cleaning the front door of the unit. It was covered in a greasy dark material. There was a musty smell when we opened the door. I realize that the ocean is a challenge for properties, and after the air conditioning was on for a while, the musty smell was less noticeable. I thought the starter supply of products would include toilet paper in all bathrooms? We got there late and only two of the bathrooms had paper. The washer made a pretty strange sound when we used it, and the dryer looked like it had some battle scars. This unit was not very clean and did not have any condiments available for use--not even salt or pepper, or coffee starters? There were hand prints on the bedroom wall and a sticky refrigerator handle and a bloody tissue behind one of the doors. It could have been a great unit and I really wanted to give a great review, as DestinWest is close to everything. The lazy river and pools are awesome, the ocean beach is to drool over. The dock was full of fish, rays and dolphins. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing. This unit has potential as it is large and has nice views. This unit needed much better cleaning, more starter supplies, and more attention to detail for a first appearance for the guests.

The Bay Side

I was hesitate to book on the bayside because I prefer the beachside. My kids all voted bayside because of the lazy River and I’m so happy I listened to them.

I would recommend to put in more towel rods as there were not enough to dry your bath towels. A broom and dust pan would also have come in handy. There is a dustbuster. I would have loved to have some windex to clean the glass table. We had little ones and they do make messes. Windex would have been nice to have also to clean the glass sliders. Would rent again.
