Cozy Island Home w/Water View and Private Hot Tub

Come relax at Shadie Pines! You can sit back and enjoy the view of Puget Sound and Mount Rainier from the deck (or from in the hot tub!), listen to the birds sing and the seals barking, and say hello to the friendly neighborhood deer.

The house is comfortably situated in the middle of the Hartstene Pointe gated community, which has a number of great amenities for you to enjoy. Our favorite features are the 5 miles of walking trails and beaches all around the point. There is also a shared pool.

The house was so cute! Attention to detail mattered to the owners. The bedrooms has plush bedding, warm textured rugs, and fun amenities like a salt lamp, TV in kids room etc. The kitchen was well stocked with items needed for general cooking. The hot tub was clean and a great temperature. The large dining room table and out door table were perfect for our large family. We took advantage of the clubhouse pool, games and spa. Lots of beach walking, fishing, rock hunting and Even saw orcas!

Great House in serene location

The house is well appointed and in a great location. It’s in a gated vacation home community surrounded by trees as well as Mountain views. You can get on a trail right outside the house.

Quiet winter getaway

Property had everything we wanted for a quick family getaway. Enjoyed the hot tub and wood stove, the record player, and puzzles. It was very clean and well appointed, and the large dining table was a plus. Glad we stayed!

Peaceful Island Getaway

This was our family's second time staying in this lovely Harstine home and we hope to stay again! The home is very comfortable for a family and has incredible views. Our kids enjoyed the toys and bikes provided. Thanks for a great visit!

Our favorite place to stay

This was our second time staying at Shadie Pines, and it was wonderful once again. We already are hoping to come back next summer. The setting and accommodations are both fantastic!

Great stay!

Our stay at this home at Hartsene Pointe was perfect for our family's much needed time to refresh and relax. This home is well appointed, is beautifully decorated, ultra clean, had gorgeous views, nice neighbors. We had a lovely time and hope to be back again.

Everybody enjoyed themselves, esp the teens. Loved the rope swing and kayaks. I did have a close call in the shower. Forgot a towel. Reached around the corner to grab a hand towel and my foot slipped. Just managed to prevent an injurious fall due to my incredible athleticism. (I'm 75.) I strongly suggest you put some non-skid stickies on your tub. And/Or grab bars. Thx. Carl Martin

Best VRBO Experience Personally!

Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. The hosts were quick to respond to questions but did not interrupt any of our time while visiting. Access to the property was easy and hassle free. All information was clearly posted. The house was spotless, comfortable and the location was exactly what were were looking for when visiting with family in the area. The neighbors were friendly and quiet. The views were serine with abundant wildlife. The kitchen was well stocked. Our teens really appreciated the easy access to the trails and the hot tea to warm up afterwards. The adults liked the fire-table views on the porch. It was the perfect place to escape for peace and quiet from Seattle day trips.

Perfect gals weekend!

We started here for family gals weekend and it was so lovely! The house was SUPER clean and had so many nice touches - plants, artwork, vintage decor. We got a kick out of playing records and the large kitchen table was great for puzzles and crafts. The view is beautiful and a short (albeit steep) walk to the water. We’d definitely stay here again!

Amazing Sunrise

I really can't say enough about this house. It was immaculate, decorated very well, extremely comfortable and positive in every way. The views were incredible and the weather was ever changing. Hiking along the trails not only have gorgeous scenery, but it's easy to hear the seals, and eagles in the background as the water is lapping against the shore. We loved it !!

Great Spot

We loved the community of Harstene Point. The community has about 5 miles of walking trails around the housing development in deeply wooded areas. About 3 miles of beach to walk on. Hot tub was nice. We took our own kayaks and found some great places to explore including Jarrell Cove State Park. Also enjoyed a visit to the Wild Felid Advocacy Center (you need to make reservations well in advance). We took our dog so it was great to find a pet friendly accommodation.

Genuinely lovely

We really enjoyed our stay at Shadie Pines. The house was cozy and clean, and the view was lovely. We enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks, and community pool. Highly recommend!

Relaxing time with family and friends

We all loved the cozy and clean house. The kitchen was great for us all to help prepare meals. The kids loved the bunk room to spend time together playing games and watching a little tv. and they all loved the big bunk beds. The hot tub was great as was the use of the community pool and kayaks. We would love to stay again but longer!

Very pleasant stay

The house layout is perfect. Nice view of the Puget Sound and Mt Rainier. The home was well supplied with anything we could possibly need. Would stay here again in the future.
