This beautiful cabin style condo is located on the secluded shores of Loon Lake. On the outskirts of the town of Soldotna and just 10 minutes away from Kenai, this cabin is also just a few minutes away from the famous Kenai River. You will enjoy the majestic view of the Kenai Mountain Range from the large deck system that overlooks the lake. This condo is part of the Loon Lake Condo Association which is a grouping of 5 condos that are individually owned and managed.
The Kenai River supports the largest recreational fishery in Alaska. The river supports runs of king, silver, sockeye, and pink salmon, along with dolly varden char, and rainbow trout. Luckily the cabin is just a few minutes away from a few of the most popular fishing guides in Soldotna!
This condo is perfect for a party of up to 8 people with the option for a couple extra twin blow up mattresses for kids. It has 4 full sized rooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living room and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with full stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Comes with all dishes, cutlery, bake ware, and basic appliances including a fully stocked coffee bar. Condo has its own washer and dryer in unit, and comes prepared with clean sheets and towels upon your arrival. Comes with unlimited WiFi use, Smart TV access, and parking for multiple vehicles.
This condo comes with recreational accommodations such as fishing poles, paddle boat, and canoe use, and is right next to the public access dock. Loon Lake is also stocked with trout for summer and winter ice fishing. This condo is perfect for business trips, fishing trips, vacations, or any other reason to relax lakeside in this serene location.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Soldotna property! The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, yet close to the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers and local spots in town. The rental was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed to relax after long days of exploring and fishing. The host was fantastic to communicate with and made the whole process seamless. Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for the perfect Kenai Peninsula basecamp!"

Perfect Home Base! Stay Here!

As advertised and the owner was great to work with, very responsive. Lake was quite and house was comfy. The coffee maker was old and slow and there were no throws on the couch, but we just replaced the coffee maker and bought a couple throws to leave there for the next guest as a thank you to an accommodating host.

Our stay had both positives and negatives.Cons: The Wi-Fi was extremely unreliable, and we ended up using our personal hotspot for most of our stay. The fishing poles provided were old and not very usable. There were also no life jackets available for the boats, which was disappointing. Communication with the host was slower than expected when we needed assistance.Pros: The view was absolutely unbeatable and was the highlight of our stay. Parking was easy and convenient. The cabin was very comfortable and had plenty of space for our family of five. The full kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the large grill and extra freezer for storing fish. Having a washer and dryer on-site was also a huge convenience. The location was fantastic for anyone looking to explore southern Alaska.Overall, despite a few shortcomings, the property itself was comfortable, well-equipped, and in an incredible location with stunning views.

Wish we could have stayed longer! This cabin on Loon Lake in Soldotna was perfect. The only issue was that I failed to book more nights there. We sadly left too soon as we had a jam packed travel itinerary. A few more lazy days on the lake would have been so enjoyable. Next time we will make we sure we stay longer. Thanks to the host for making this stay so enjoyable that we did not want to leave!

Lot of paddling fun on semi-private lake

Overall the family had a blast. When we first arrived our kids weren't that interested in the lake. The next day we went to Kenai NWR (~20 minutes away). When we got back all the kids wanted to do was canoe, kayak, and use the rowboat in the lake. Over the next several days the kids spent lots of HOURS in the lake paddling around. Not one other person was ever in or on the lake when we were, so it was really a private lake. And the name loon lake, was accurate, because a common loon was seen multiple days on the lake. Everything in the house was great too, but we probably spent more time on the lake then in the house.

Great Place on the lake!

We were on an extended Alaska fishing trip with 4 adults. Owner was great and went above and beyond. We had a total of 480 lbs of fish fillets for our group as this was the last leg of our 3rd location fishing trip. He accommodated us with two freezers. Home was very clean and had everything we needed. Having an extra propane tank for the BBQ was very nice as well. On our last evening the largest cow moose I have ever seen wondered into our back yard with two young calves. They foraged for about 30 minutes just feet away from our balcony providing all of us great video and pictures. What a nice bonus!
