In the heart of the Périgord Noir on a 33 hectare estate, the Haras du Roc awaits you for a holiday with family or friends in our cottages and guest houses. Nestled in a landscape of hills, woods and meadows, this former coaching inn of the twelfth and seventeenth centuries typical of the Périgord has the advantage of being close to the most beautiful sites of the Périgord (Castelnaud, Beynac-et-Cazenac, La Roque-Gageac etc...) while being perfectly preserved from crowds and tourist flows.
The little house in the meadow... or the little house in the woods overlooking the meadows... or the stables house... in short, Alexandre's house stands on a promontory and is prepared to welcome the conversations of those who stay up late under the starry sky, the breakfasts of walkers who get up early to enjoy the freshness of the morning, and the tenderness of families who seize the holiday time as if they were seizing a chance. All this, under the eyes of goats, donkeys, ponies and horses that nothing prevents from grazing!
This accommodation has access to the 33Ha of the estate. The swimming pool, a football field, a badminton court, trampolines, and places to take a moment of rest are at your disposal. Many walks start from the estate and will make you discover our horses, donkeys, ponies, ewes, lambs and goats in the different meadows of the Roc. We also invite you to come and accompany us to feed all our animals in the morning: a great moment of joy and discovery for the children.
Le Roc is also our small farm: goat and cow's cheeses, yoghurts, dairy desserts and lamb meat... You can watch the milking, feed the animals and take part in a cheese-making workshop.
