Welcome to the Salvetat de Cadouin ...
Located in the Périgueux – Bergerac – Sarlat triangle, between the purple Périgord (land of red wine) and the Périgord Noir (land of truffles),
Cadouin is ideally placed in relation to the tourist sites to visit and the activities to practice.
On one side, Bergerac and its vineyards... On the other, the canoe trips of the Dordogne and the Vézère, Limeuil, one of the "most beautiful villages in France" at the confluence of the two rivers, the Cingle de Trémolat, the Gouffre de Proumeyssac, the caves of Maxange, the cloisters of the Cistercian Abbey of Cadouin (classified as an UNESCO World Heritage Site), the bastides such as Monpazier and its castle of Biron, Beaumont du Périgord, Molières and Villefranche du Périgord, the village of Bournat, the Eyzies de Taillac, the medieval city of Sarlat and many prehistoric sites, including the cave of Lascaux (classified as an UNESCO World Heritage Site), and many others...
La Salvetat de Cadouin is a former 12th century presbytery built on 15 hectares of meadow and woods in the Bessède Forest, land on which stand the ruins of the first church of Cadouin, which preceded the Cistercian Abbey of Cadouin classified as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This peaceful place, in the heart of nature, which was once an inn, has now become our guest house, in which we want to create a friendly place with a warm atmosphere.
