Experience lakeside luxury at Sunset Shores, your 5-bedroom retreat on the beautiful Lake of Egypt. Designed to host up to 10 guests, this upscale home offers panoramic water views from nearly every room, creating a stunning backdrop for your year-round getaway.

The interior features a modern, fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable living areas, and large windows that fill the space with natural light. Step into the bright, climate-controlled sunroom to relax in any season, or gather with loved ones for a memorable family vacation.

Your private outdoor oasis includes:
A gentle slope leading to a quiet cove and personal beach area.
A bubbling hot tub overlooking the lake.
A covered patio with a grill.
A firepit for evening gatherings.
A private dock for your use.
Two kayaks for water adventures.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Master Bedroom: 1 King Bed
Second Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed
Third Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed
Fourth Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed
Fifth Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed

Notes to Families: "Sunset Bay" and "Sunset Point" are right next door that sleeps 8 each- It's a great opportunity to book both for a family reunion!

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay, please note the following:
Rental Agreement: A rental agreement with ID verification is required. This must be completed within 48 hours of booking. Access details will only be provided after the agreement is signed.
Starter Supplies: We provide a starter package including 3 rolls of toilet paper, 1 full roll of paper towels, and bath towels for each guest.
What to Bring: For your safety, we highly encourage you to bring your own life vests to ensure a proper fit when using the kayaks.
Firewood: Firewood for the outdoor firepit is not included but is available for purchase for your convenience.

We just got back from Sunset Shores this past weekend and what a wonderful property for our big family! We've stayed at numerous rentals at Lake of Egypt over the years, Sunset Shores outshined all of them! Many thanks to Allison for all her help prior, during, and after our stay. She went above and beyond to accommodate us!

Family Friendly

The house was great for a small family gathering, there were 4 of us (adults) staying overnight but I had some family with children ages 2 - 10 visit for a cookout and the the enclosed heated porch was fantastic for this type of gathering. The kids also had access to a playground that was perfect for keeping them entertained. Overall great house, location and property manager. Already starting g to look at trying to go back in the summer.

Friends Group Annual Lake Egypt Trip

Our group of 8 adults had a very relaxing stay in this lake house. We did have 2 issue that came about during our stay but the owners were very very quick to get the issues fixed for us. The house was beautiful just as the listing said and was stocked with everything we needed. The beds were all very comfortable. The out side was nice and clean and well manicured . We will definitely try to book at this house again. We would like to thank Allison for her contribution in our great stay at the lake house as our group has been coming to Lake Egypt for 8 years now and this house has been one of the best.

Girls trip

We had a blast at this comfortable home. We didn’t so much but lounge around, playing games and eating. The kitchen was well stocked and we never felt like we didn’t have anything we needed. The bath towels were luxurious and not those thin towels hotels use. Would have liked a softer lamp or something in the living room as the only light came from the overhead ceiling fans. I can see where this place would be great for a summer vacation!

Beautiful property—a great fit for larger families!

This property is gorgeous, classy, and has everything a large group could want for a lake house. It’s decorated tastefully and we were so comfortable during our stay. The beds felt like clouds and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space to mingle. We didn’t use the kitchen except for coffee and breakfast since we enjoyed local eateries but it was well stocked with anything you’d need to prepare meals. There were plenty of clean towels available and the property was immaculate upon arrival, which we love about SIVR rentals. The only downside was having to leave at the end of our stay! Southern Illinois has quickly become a family-favorite vacation spot.

‘22 Rudnick Vacation

This was a very nice place, well kept and very spacious. We enjoyed ourselves kayaking, swimming and just being together. We really liked the area and talked about making this area an annual spot as it is 1/2 way for all family members. Thank you for a great week.

We will definitely be back!

It was such a treat to stay at this lakeside property, surrounded by so many comforts and conveniences! We've stayed in countless vacation rental properties, and this one is one of the best we've experienced. The master bed even had a massage feature, as did one of the extra-comfy living room chairs. We loved sitting on the enclosed patio once we got too chilled down by the water. Everything at this property was as good as advertised, or better. We plan to return with some friends and stay longer!

Celebrated Christmas with family and a great time was had by all. Very spacious and clean. The sunroom is huge and the view beautiful even in December. Have used vrbo for years usually satisfied but not wowed. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
