This place is amazing. A little bit of a drive to New Orleans but well worth the quiet. It is beautiful inside and amazingly stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds were super comfortable. Morning coffee on the porch was a daily occurrence. Highly recommend.

Family getaway

This house perfectly accommodated 3 couples. Couches are extremely comfortable and recline. Beautiful sunrises over the lake. Lots of birds and very peaceful. Would definitely book again!

A Lovely Property

We so enjoyed our stay. We made a great choice to enjoy New Orleans from a distance. This property was a welcome getaway from the hustle and bustle of New Orleans. So peaceful. We loved it, especially the lake views with pelicans!

Valentines Getaway

While the property was beautiful and quiet, it was not all as it appeared on the listing. The outdoor kitchen area was very rundown and weathered. There were utensils that were dirty and corroded, the Keurig was not functional, and one of the railings on the back porch was rotted and unsafe. Other that that, the Property was very beautiful and cozy. The beds were comfortable and there was many amenities. We did enjoy our stay.property

such a find outside of New Orleans!

Thank you so much for your hospitality Patrica and Ryan!!! You home was the perfect place to relax and enjoy time away from the busy New Orlean streets. It is a bit outside of the city but we didn’t mind the drive in - a couple of days we drove back and forth twice! The home was perfect for two couples and we loved the porch in back with the lake view. Overall, we wont hesitate to reach out again if we are heading your way. One suggestion - a couple of night reflectors would help to mark the driveway entrance at night. Otherwise - perfect!!!!

Quiet Retreat to Visit NOLA

Really enjoyed our stay out in the quiet ‘fish camp’ (as my husband kept calling it) in Lake Catherine! Though nothing camp like about this lovely home. We had everything we could need as far as essentials go in the kitchen and bathrooms, plus plenty of extra blankets and pillows! Beds are very comfy. About a 30 minute drive into downtown NOLA, or 20 ish minutes to Slidell for shopping or food- very convenient. Patricia was very communicative and easy to get a hold of throughout our stay. We stayed during the week of the NOLA blizzard and got snowed in for two days- and still had a wonderful time! Highly recommend this lovely home.

Amazing views and great accomodations

Took my family to New Orleans for the first time and when we stumbled on the listing for this property it seemed almost too good to be real. The house is very accommodating for four adults, everything was clean, and the views are spectacular. Also very convenient to some great food in Slidell and other activities. Spacious parking, and again that view…. Loves our stay , highly tecommend

Nice Lake House

This lake house was perfect for our family w three adults, a teen and 3 younger kids. We booked a fishing trip with a nearby marina. The house has everything you would normally need during your stay. The owner replied to my questions right away. We were very satisfied and did not want to leave.

Best Waterfront Location in Lake Catherine

Excellent 3 bed/2 bath property with giant living room and back patio directly on Lake Catherine/Gulf of Mexico. You can look at Lake Ponchatrain from the front patio, and the Gulf from the back. The property is very well furnished, even with a half dozen or so fishing poles (and a live bait shop 2 doors down on Chef Menteur). The huge back patio is a big win for enjoying the waterfront views, while the large dock in the back of the property offers a fishing spot that can't be beat.

Sweet fishing vacay

We had a fantastic time! Such a great location for fishing. It was so much fun to watch the men in our family behave like little boys filled with excitement to fish! Patty and her husband were very hospitable, helpful, and accommodating. We felt very welcome. We hope to return soon.
