A-Frame Away on the Olympic Peninsula w/Hot Tub!

Our small A-Frame is nestled in the mountains between beautiful Port Angeles and Sequim, Washington. Our location offers you a central stay to many of the Olympic National Park activities.

While this is near to our home on 1.5 acres, our A-Frame resides in its own little nook in the trees. We share a driveway, but you will have your own parking spot with just a short walk to the A-Frame. Outside you can enjoy your deck, hot tub, fire pit, hammock, chicken coop, or walk down the private road.

This A-Frame is 216 square feet with kitchenette, which will include a small fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, and all your basic cooking and eating utensils. There is an electric heater that will provide a cozy and warm atmosphere and a small fan. There is also a projector and screen inside that you can connect to your own streaming service.

For sleeping you will have a Queen Bed, Futon, and a single bed in the loft (assessible by ladder - please no children under 6 in loft). If you prefer to eat or play games inside we have a small table with two bar stools and a futon with two pull out side tables.

Outside you can enjoy the small HOT TUB, sit on the deck( which has a Blackstone flat top grill) or around a fire pit.

There is an external private bathroom (NOT heated, with shower (hot water on demand), toilet, sink and mirror right next to the A-Frame for your private use.

We are pet friendly, but ask for an additional $50 pet cleaning fee.

Also want to mention that at times during the summer the water has a “sulfur” smell that comes from the well due to runoff from the mountains, we have a filter on the water and it is safe to use/drink.

We absolutely loved our stay at A-Frame Away! The location was perfect for exploring Olympic National Park, and we loved coming back to the peaceful, private setting after a day of exploring. The hot tub was such a wonderful bonus!The space had everything we needed and was comfortable, cozy, and thoughtfully set up. The host really made it feel like a home away from home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend A-Frame Away!

We had a very nice time at the AFrame cabin!We were initially surprised that the cabin was essentially in the backyard of the owner … however we found we had excellent privacy and the photos were in fact very accurate. It was definitely a tight squeeze for our family of 4, but the outside space was so lovely and everything was very well provisioned, both in and out. I appreciated that everything was clearly labeled, and instructions were provided for everything. The eggs were a nice touch and when we were trying to get cold water Joy helpfully provided some extra waters for us. It was great to relax in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Great location for exploring the Olympic Peninsula.

We LOVVVEEDDD our stay at the A-frame. It was so cute and cozy. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, road tripping in the pacific north west. We were able to cook a lot of meals in on the stove, roasted s’mores over the fire, played the darts game that was in the yard and watched movies on the projector. Our hosts even surprised us with an A-frame sticker, a mini prosecco bottle and some of their fresh eggs! (You can see the chicken when you walk from the a-frame to your car, that was pretty cool). I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone. It was so cute and romantic especially with the string lights outside.

If you are looking for a glamping situation you have found a great option. All the comforts of home with a lovely outdoor space to enjoy it. The perfect thing about Port Angeles is it stays cool! No ac needed!

Charming A-frame near Port Angeles/Olympic Natl Park

Loved this place so much. The hot tub was perfect after hiking at Olympic each day. The A-frame has everything you need and was immaculate. The outdoor shower/bathroom was delightful and the shower was nice and warm right away. So much thought was put into this little spot, even just the space under the bed was clutch for tucking away suitcases. The location is convenient to Port Angeles and the park entrance.

This was the most magical little hideout tucked away in a little patch of forest beside the home of the owner and their lovely family, adorable and sweet dogs, and cute chickens! The hot tub was utilized both nights after long hiking days in Olympic national Park. So nice. The firewood was also well used. The beds and couch were comfy, just enough space for a family of four who gets along fairly well. :-) The movie projector and screen was also utilized watching Harry and the Hendersons ha ha. Literally everything was utilized, there was everything we needed and more, it was absolutely magical, beautiful, comfortable, and fun! We even threw the plastic axes at the fun dartboard, or some of us did while the others were swinging and lounging in the hammock/chair. The family gave us all the space we needed to feel like it was a private getaway, but communicated quickly and response to messages, wonderful! Just absolutely perfect, could not rate it any more highly than five stars or I would have!

We had a wonderful stay! It was clean and stocked with everything you could need for a glamping adventure, and then some. The host left us the sweetest welcome card and even some farm fresh eggs. The hot tub was especially nice after a couple of long hikes. The host was very responsive when we had a minor issue with the shower and took care of it immediately.

It started with our RV rental. My husband John and I had a vision to create a campsite on our beautiful property in the mountains on the Olympic Peninsula between Sequim and Port Angeles, WA. We have fallen in love with camping and purchased our RV in 2018 and thought it would be neat to rent it you on our property and share in our passion. After a couple of years planning and many hours working the property it came alive in May of 2020. We had so much fun and a great response with the RV that we decided to add the A-Frame in 2021. We have been on AirBnB and have had a great response, but are now branching out to list with VRBO.

John has been in carpentry his entire life and has a very artistic side, so when you visit our property you will see those creative ideas. I am currently a stay at home mom of 8 year old twin girls. I myself have a passion for entertaining and I really enjoy hosting!

John and I have been married for 9 years, rekindled 12 years ago and first met 26 years ago! Our love story is special in that it was a lot of "by chances" that we found each other again after being teenagers in love.

We have 3 small dogs, and 2 cats who roam the property, all very sweet and will likely come say hi at some point during your stay. We also have a chicken coop with 7 chickens that are fun to visit!

Your privacy is very important to us. While this A-Frame is very close to our residence, we believe you will be surprised by how private it really feels when you are sitting outside in hot tub, around fire pit or dining at picnic table.
