Amazing Property

This was our 2nd stay here and same as the last time, it was perfect. Property managers are so accommodating and easy to work with and the property and amenities are incredible. We will be staying here again when we come to visit our son at PacU.

Beautiful House

The house restoration was beautiful and the location was fantastic for visiting the university. We enjoyed many amenities which made our stay relaxing and enjoyable! We will definitely consider this location for future visits to Forest Grove.

Family Reunion

The house was wonderful. Very old and historic, but modern kitchen and bathrooms. Huge yard which was good for gathering the family.

The Perfect Spot

We brought 3 grandparents to Forest Grove so they could see where their grand daughter attends college and to watch her play soccer. This amazing property was our home away from home, with too many perks and surprises to recount them all!

Lovely Historic House

The house is absolutely charming, clean, neat and tidy. Shauna and Thomas provide everything you need for a comfortable visit including eggs and milk in the refrigerator, hazel nut treats and a small gift for our 3 year old grand daughter. Many thanks for a wonderful time.

Great Home Away From Home

The home is beautiful and these hosts have thought of every way to make this feel like home. The range of spices, cookware options, fruit trees in the back yard, toiletries, snacks…it is all there. Great location near Pacific University and it was the perfect home base for our plan as a couple days were spent on the coast while another spent east of Portland. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fun to cook in. The stay was near perfect.

Step Back to The Past

This is a beautiful example of Victorian style. It had all the amenities one could ask for. Meticulously maintained and beautifully appointed. Fully equipped kitchen and large spacious bedrooms. Contemporary baths with tons of hot water.

Amazing place

If i could give a higher rating I would. The owners were beyond easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions I had. The house itself was in the perfect location for us to be able to be close the Pacific Ini wraith where we were moving our son in. The amenities in the home were beyond anything we could’ve needed and beds were all comfortable. We will definitely be staying here when we come to town.

Top notch house rental

The Historic Retreat was one of the best house rentals we’ve ever had. The history of the house was really cool and the decor was beautiful (amazing wallpaper in the bedrooms and a couple other nooks). The kids in our group were surprised and excited to find a coloring book and stuffed animal upon arrival and enjoyed a few of the toys at the house (tastefully hidden away in a chest). We all loved the spacious backyard with multiple seating options, fire pit, frisbee golf, basketball hoop, and a corn hole set. The house was the most well appointed property we’ve ever stayed at from the standard dishes, cooking utensils, etc. to a Kitchen Aid mixer, fine china, and multiple options for making coffee. Umbrellas, bath products, detergent pods, starter groceries - I could go on, but this house truly had it all. Shauna was great and should honestly start a company that helps other house rental owners equip their houses because she has it down to a science. We would absolutely stay again if we return to the area.

Fabulous stay for a family graduation

Our stay was amazing. Our eldest was graduating from Pacific. I wanted to stay close to the university and this property fit the bill. There were 5 of us and we were within blocks of the ceremony. The house was absolutely beautiful. Everything was as described but better. We felt so at home. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch. More than once someone walked by and said, "I love your house!" The kids enjoyed the back yard playing disk golf and shooting hoops. We walked to restaurants for dinner and brunch and I think we were a mile from a major grocery store. This house has everything you would want and more. I'm sorry we didn't discover the house earlier. I would have visited my eldest more often!

This house was perfect for our family getaway

The house was clean, organized, and updated. Everything we needed was available. The kitchen was stocked and had every appliance. The dining room table was perfect for family dinners and playing games. The hosts were great with little personal touches.
