Perfect Beach Getaway

Amazing property - perfect for our family in every way. Our son loved watching all of the turtles in the lake from the back porch and riding around on the golf cart. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Fun vacation

We had the best vacation and week at Ocean Lakes. The Shore Shack was a Cute house but small. We enjoyed the golf cart and riding around the campground. We look forward to next year! Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy our vacation by sharing your property with us!

The location is great! It sits on a pond and is close to Sandy Mart and the waterpark. It comes with a complimentary golf cart which was our favorite feature. The owner was very responsive and pleasant. Unfortunately, the house was not cleaned well. The countertops, walls, baseboards, and air filter were disgusting. Even the toilet seat needs replacing because some of the paint is coming off in spots. I hope the owner chooses a new cleaning service because she’s getting ripped off! Also, the rooms don’t have a ceiling fan and the air conditioner didn’t cool the house enough to cool the rooms while we slept. It was hot. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless it’s thoroughly cleaned and the some updates are made.

Fantastic!!

The property size was perfect for just me and my mother! The location inside the campground was wonderful also!! Close to everything we needed along with our families staying in campers. The golf cart was very nice to have and never gave us any issues!! This house is great for a getaway and the outdoor area was my favorite!! I loved being able to sit on the porch even when it was raining!!

Small Family Vacation Cottage

Quaint cottage located perfectly inside Ocean Lakes Campground on a quite street. You can always hear the water fountain, which is quite relaxing to me. The porch receives nice breezes so I could take a nap on the couch a few times. Kim was very responsive with any questions we had.

Great Place

Highly recommend for 4 or less. Kim was great. We called Kim with a question, not only did she answer it but she addressed it right away. Highly recommend this place with a small family. Location is perfect to all amenities.

Family Vacation

The house was okay but smaller than we expected. There was hardly any counter space. Our family of 3 couldn’t fit at the tiny indoor table. We made the best of it. It was clean and all we really needed. The golf cart was great to have.

Quiet and relaxing Time

The location is great. Enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the pond and having breakfast. Very quiet section and close enough to the Store, pool and Beach to walk. Having the golf cart was also a plus to enjoy riding through the campground. Our 13 year old Chihuahua enjoyed riding also. Kim was great to rent from and answered all my questions ahead of time. Had no problems checking in or during our trip. Will stay here again!

Perfection in a tiny package

Our stay was amazing. So much more then we could have expected! From the first communication to checking out everything was top notch. Kim is friendly and responsive. She goes out of her way to ensure you have what you need. The house has thoughtful touches that make it feel like home. It is tiny, space is used wisely. The golf cart was the perfect addition to our vacation stay. Cannot wait to book our next stay !

Perfect Shore Shack!

We enjoyed this little Gem to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and it was perfect. The owner Kim was amazing I felt like I knew her personally she was so kind & helpful. The deck on the water was so nice. It was a short walk or ride to the beach but having the golf cart made it very easy. We walked our dog mostly. The inside was so clean. I mean like how you would clean your own home! We definitely will stay here again!

Great Little House

We really enjoyed our week at Shore Shack. The deck overlooking the pond with the turtles was wonderful! The location is great with easy access to the Sandy Mart, but not on a main road so traffic was limited. The decor in the house was beautiful, but would have loved to have either blankets or bedspreads on the beds for the cooler nights. Storage is limited, but every inch in the house is made useful. We will definitely stay again and one of my friends stopped by for a visit and was so in love with the deck and turtle watching she said she will stay there in the future too. Kim was great at communicating and made for an extremely smooth process. Thank you Kim for sharing your home!

Shore shack stay

My family and I went for our usual week vacation. Check-in was fine. Once we got inside though it was way smaller than described. When you pull out the trundle, you can no longer even get in that room and under the bed was very dirty. Then in the other room, there’s 1 small path to get in the bed and if you open the “closet” door you can’t even get through. Then when we pulled out the sofa bed, there was dirt, hair and sand all over the bed and once again it was disgusting under it. Then on our 5th night we saw several roaches in the living room and kitchen. Then there’s the kitchen…it was very disorganized with different stuff all mixed together with not even the bare essentials for cooking. I finally found the grill utensils under the kitchen sink with all the cleaning supplies! Then there’s a dirty broom and a mop in the pantry where you can store a little bit of food. Definitely not what you would expect with how much it cost to stay here. We definitely won’t be staying here again.

Perfect for a couple or small family

We enjoyed our vacation staying at the Shore Shack. First, the host was excellent and helped us with every need we had. The check-in and out process was simple and straightforward. The worst part is dealing with the traffic if checking in on a busy day. The house is conveniently located on a cute little pond filled with turtles. It was fun to fish off the deck but we didn’t have much luck. The deck is perfection and is where we spent the majority of our time. Our pup sure loved snoozing on the outdoor couch. The house is very small, but perfect size for a couple or small family. We made it work for our family but we had to be creatively about where we stored groceries, luggage, etc. Other than it being tight quarters, it has everything you could need. My only recommendation would be to add ceiling fans in the bedrooms as they tend to run hot and some creative storage options. Overall, our trip was great and we would definitely book this rental again. Highly recommend!
