Welcome to Harbor Haven, a historic three-story cottage offering a glimpse into York's past with all the modern comforts you need for a memorable stay. This newly listed home boasts six bedrooms, four and a half baths, upper-level ocean views, and two enclosed porches overlooking picturesque York Harbor.

Nestled on a quiet, dead-end street, Harbor Haven is just a five-minute walk to Harbor Beach, a beautiful sandy stretch along York's rocky shoreline. Whether you're planning a family reunion or a gathering of friends, this home is the perfect setting for creating lasting memories.

Upon entering the main level, you'll be greeted by a spacious living room, a cozy den with a Smart TV, a formal dining room ideal for entertaining, an eat-in kitchen, a charming sunroom, and a convenient half bath. The highlight of this level is the large harbor-facing sunroom, where you can relax and enjoy the views.

The second floor features four bedrooms, including a grand Main Suite with a California King Bed and a full ensuite bath. Another highlight is the junior suite with a Queen bed and an ensuite bath, both offering stunning ocean views. Additionally, there's a Queen bedroom with a sunset harbor view and a twin bedroom, sharing a hall bath. Three of the four bedrooms on this floor have window AC units, while the fourth has a window fan.

Venture to the top level to discover two more bedrooms: "The Captains Room" with a double bed and ocean views, and a double twin bedroom with ocean views. These rooms share a bathroom with a small clawfoot tub/shower combo, perfect for kids.

Harbor Haven is ideally located within walking distance of attractions like the Wiggly Bridge, Fisherman's Walk, Steedman Woods, and the charming York Village with its shops and restaurants. A short drive will take you to York Beach, home to the Nubble Lighthouse and the Goldenrod Confectionary & Restaurant.

Another Wonderful Family Vacation

We had another great week staying at Harbor Haven. The home is beautiful and plenty big enough for our entire family (7 adults and 4 kids). The kids really enjoyed being able to play in the large yard and making s’mores on the fire pit is also a favorite. My favorite place in the house is the big sunroom that has a view of the harbor. Everyone loves that Harbor beach is just a short walk from the house. So convenient and it’s a lovely beach too. We are looking forward to another York vacation next year!

Our family rented the third week in August, 2024 and we loved the location, the house overall, and the quiet of the neighborhood as well as the convenience of a walking trail and beach very close by.

Great Location, Well Cared For, Thoughtful Extras and Organization

Great location in York a very short walk from Sandy Beach and start of walkway along the river that leads to Wiggly Bridge. Quite neighbor, well cared for, charming property. Extras like beach chairs, wagon, sand toys, towel, were thoughtfully organized and a nice add.

Relaxing Multi-generational Family Vacation

We stayed at Harbor Haven for a week in June for a multi-generational family vacation. We had children, teens, adults and a grandparent. The house was perfect for our group - tons of bathrooms, bedrooms, beds, and spaces for people to congregate. The weather was fantastic, so we hardly needed AC, but each room had a fan or AC unit, so it would have been comfortable. The location was amazing - a 5 minute walk to Harbor Beach, and minutes from walking paths that bring you to the Wiggly Bridge and walks along the water. The beds were very comfortable, the bedding was nice, and the linens were great. 10/10, would stay again.

Harbor Haven (Year 2)

This was our second year staying at Harbor Haven. We had another great week and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone traveling with a larger group. I traveled with my husband and toddler daughter, my sister, her husband and twin girls, and my parents. On our second night, my sister turned to me and said "I love this house." She was referring to the fact that my dad was reading in one room, the twins were reading in another room, and my daughter was playing in another room, highlighting the fact that there was plenty of room for everyone. We didn't have any issues with the house during our stay, so I didn't need to contact Salt & Shine at all, but leading up to our trip, our concierge, Katie, was very helpful and got back to right away with any questions I had about items already at the house. We look forward to another stay next year.

July Week

Overall, the house was great. I traveled with my husband and 2 year old, my parents, and my sister, her husband, and her 6 year old twins. There was plenty of space in the house for everyone and it was very comfortable. The dining room table was big enough for all of us and we really liked the 2 porches. It was nice for each family to have their own bathroom. It was a quick walk to the beach. We had an issue with the fridge the first night and the concierge service was very responsive, texting back and forth with me to get a new fridge ASAP. They brought a brand new one the next day and a cooler with ice. They also said they'd replace any food we lost and when we had to throw out the milk, they sent more milk with some extra Maine treats. Overall, we had a great stay.

A beautiful home with harbor views on a dead end street. Very well appointed and two beautiful Sun rooms and plenty of room to spread out for everyone staying with you. Very comfortable, clean and fully equipped kitchen. Dog friendly home and in the area if needed.
