Welcome to "Serene shores," a Texas hill country retreat that lives up to its name! Bring the whole family to this very comfortable and peaceful place with views of the lake, the sunset and stars. You will enjoy kicking back on the porch, relaxing in the hot tub, sitting around the camp fire roasting marshmallows, or stargazing with unobstructed views of the night sky. Many close amenities include fishing, tubing, swimming, hiking, horse back riding or even shopping in the Cowboy Capital of the World, Bandera!

We enjoyed our stay here! The host was very communicative. And, they put together a scavenger hunt which was fun for both the adults and kids. Super cool idea!

Great stay

Had a blast at his property. The pool and the hot tub were just perfect and the house was really nice and comfortable. The view was also a sight to behold. We also saw a lot of wildlife and loads of deers.

Bandara hill country

Our stay at Paul's house was really great. There were 7 of us- all a part of our family- who traveled from wisconsin, Illinois, Oregon, and Austin to see the eclipse. The house is very comfortable and when we had questions Paul was always available by email to answer them promptly. We had asked about building a fire in the fire ring and he drove about an hour to bring us some firewood and some sweet rolls. We have stayed in some VRBOs where the kitchen is not the best- just a few plates, utensils, not much to cook with. This kitchen is fully functional- we cooked and grilled every meal very easily. There are outside games and tons of chairs to enjoy being outside. So despite the clouds obstructing the complete view of the eclipse we had a wonderful time.

Peaceful Place

Needed a place for my band to spend the night for a wedding in Bandera. Found your property through a quick search, and so happy I selected your place. Wish we could’ve been there the entire weekend. Next time we are in town, I’ll be looking for your beautiful property.

This was a great place to stay. We would rent this house again. Only down fall was the short distance on the gravel road, due to recent rains was a little rough.

Very, very nice house

Beautiful home and property Was described as 4 bedrooms, 3 bath, living room and kitchen including the cabin sleeps 8 But it is a 3 bedroom 3 bath, living room and kitchen and cabin It does sleep 8 I very disappointed when we arrived to find only 3 bedroom I didn’t expect the living room to be considered a bedroom because it has a sofa bed.

Great View, great host!

Very nice-clean cabin, we enjoyed it very much. The communication with the owner was awesome, he would reply right away to any questions. We didn’t have any issues, everything was OK!

Quiet stay in the country, this little gem has everything you need to rest and relax!

We were welcomed with a basket complete with a wonderful bottle of wine, everything you need to make smore, popcorn, and a note from the owners! During the day, the family enjoyed hiking and exploring the river bed below. At night, the chiminea was great to gather around during the chilly evenings. Overall, a great getaway for our family!

Super Clean

The house set up and cleanliness was great. We were not at all disappointed with the home and the preparations the owner had made to accommodate us including s'mores, wine, and a variety of other amenities. The only thing we were a little disappointed about was that there was no water to fish by the property like we expected. Our kids were looking forward to fishing, but it looked like the waterfront area had been dry for quite some time. Either way, we would still stay here again.
