Sandy Feet Retreat is located at Chic’s Beach, serving as a perfect beach getaway spot. The house is 125 steps to a “flat beach entry”, next to Buoy 44 Restaurant sand beach, and some of the best neighborhood restaurants. Retreat to this home to enjoy sunset walks on beach, swim in the Bay, morning beach runs, bike rides to great local restaurants, breweries and so much more. It’s the perfect get away for a family looking for a beach home.

This Space:
The home location allows comfortable beach access for small children or aging adults and a short distance for required beach breaks back home.

The home has just completed a home make over spring of 2021, with all new fresh paint, and all new bedding.

Sleeping arrangements 1 – 8 people, this home is the larger portion of a duplex. The home offers 4 bedrooms (2 King, 1 Queen, 1 Twin over Full bunkbed sleeping arrangements), 2 ½ bathrooms, full kitchen, game room, large rear deck patio, 2nd floor ocean view balcony, 1st floor ocean view patio, and full laundry facility.

Game room is equipped with bumper pool table, poker table, puzzles, TV, and games. The main floor entry from the beach serves as a living area that looks out at the bay, and beach front, a powder room, fully equipped kitchen (seating for four), and large dining room (seating 8). Off the dining room there is a 14 X 14 rear patio equipped with outdoor dining capabilities (seating 8), and propane grille. The patio sits above the child’s play area in the fenced in backyard area (excellent location for playing catch, cornhole, or other shared yard activities.) This is ideal for family time privacy away from the beach front crowds, or just a place to relax in the sun, protected from the beach wind.

The second-floor ocean side balcony provides a viewing area for cascade of sun set colors, changing before your eyes, and reshaping the horizon with God’s splendor. A perfect place to relax, and enjoy time together with your favorite loved ones and family. It is also a great place to enjoy an after-beach snack or a before dinner appetizer and cold beverages.

The kitchen is fully equipped to allow meals at home. It has an electric stove/oven combination, microwave, and large refrigerator. There is ample cupboard space to store dry goods and full-service dinnerware to service 12, with plasticware for patio dining. The laundry room is located off the kitchen.

The home has two central air conditioning units, WIFI, three TVs (allowing you to access your online media outlet of choice or ROKU TV channels). The Retreat is a non- smoking unit. It also does NOT allow pets.

The Sandy Feet Retreat located in the best neighborhood in the Shore Drive area, steps away from Chic’s beach, and popular restaurants like HK on the Bay, Buoy 44, and Commonwealth Brewery.

It is a short bike ride up to Shore Drive corridor for additional chain restaurant fare. It is also a short mile bike ride to the Bayview Rec Center for exercises or pool / shared activities. You also have access to the Shore Drive and Virginia Beach bike path structures, and the First Landings State Park bike and foot hiking paths.

This home is 5-minute drive to places like Leaping Lizard, Bubba’s, The Back Deck restaurants, and the local ice cream shop. We are located about one mile from a Kroger, ALDI’s, Walgreens, Dollar Stores, and local shopping hot spots.

The Sandy Feet Retreat can be a starting point for half day trips to Civil War battle fields, Yorktown, Jamestown, Williamsburg, and other local fort tours to break up the beach visit with some USA History experiences.

Note: Smaller duplex home has a work from home owner, so we ask that you respect the home (quiet hours 10 PM to 10 AM daily) and neighbor that shares a common wall with you.

Guest Access
Parking is limited to 4 cars in the driveway directly in front of the unit. Please only park in driveway. No parking in street or neighbors parking area.

This home has limited space and is desired for the families, which rent and enjoy it. We depend on those who rent the location to control and manage any of their guest who place foot on the property.

Other Things
For your safety and the protection of our house and neighborhood, we have security cameras and Neighborhood Watch on the outside of our home.

For your beach items or bikes, we provide a locked shed on ocean side for storage of items when not in use. Beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and coolers are provided.

There is an outside shower to clean off prior to entering into the home.
