With hardwood floors throughout, colorful bedrooms, and water views, this charming, lakeside cottage comes with a well-equipped, full kitchen perfect for cooking delicious meals, a dining table for six for mealtimes or family game nights, an inviting living area with a flatscreen TV for streaming your favorite channels, and a delightful sunroom. Sit back, relax, and unwind here at the Pirate Den!

Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Wyndham amenities are available for purchase at the Wyndham Cafe, but there is no guarantee due to limited passes per day. These amenities include access to three pools, tennis courts, gym fitness room, mini golf, playground and beach cabana.
This unit is located inside of the Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort: No boats, trailers, motorcycles, mopeds, campers, RV's or golf carts are allowed inside of the resort.
This property is managed by Vacasa South Carolina, LLC.
The laundry room is located under the house through a separate entry door.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location, very homey enjoyed the lagoon, easily house 8 in bedrooms. Like the laid back atmosphere on Edisto Beach. Definitely make the trip to Botany Bay (go to their beach) and the Serpetarium. The southern end of the island 's beach where the ocean meets the sound for swimming and shelling.

Edisto vacation

The home was exactly what we needed and wanted for our family. Safe location with access to everything within a matter of minutes. We will definitely come back.

Great place

We stayed here with our 7 kids and the upstairs room with bunk beds was perfect for them. This place is a must stay place if you like watching alligators and turtles from your window!!

Nice… and really enjoyed little alligator viewing… but must have missed that this was just half of duplex… thought getting entire house…

Spring Break

Our family of 7 visited Edisto for spring break. The Pirate's Den had plenty of room for all of us. The location is very peaceful, and just a short drive from the beach. The kitchen could use some new pans and utensils, but overall was pretty well stocked. The cleaning crew could do a little better at paying attention to details, especially in the bathrooms, but overall it was a good experience. We would go back.

Totally above my expectations

This was such a wonderful mini vacation for us. The unit was very spacious, clean, well maintained, and relaxing. Simple enjoyment was the nook area facing the pond on. Just overlooking the turtles in the pond was soothing and relaxing. Seeing the countless numbers of deers (huge animal lover) freely walking around without fear of humans and vehicles was beautiful especially in what was once their home. Being on the golf course was an even extra bonus (I’ll be sure to bring my clubs next time). Will most definitely be back and will experience this hidden gem with others soon.

Peaceful, cute place

I loved the sun room and the screened in area under the house overlooking the pond. Great views. I didn’t realize it was a duplex but no one was in the other side. There were lots of games and puzzles in the house. Tv is in the living room and the kids room with bunk beds, not in the rooms with the queen beds. I love that every bedroom has a bathroom. Mattress and pillows could have been more comfortable but they weren’t terrible. Kitchen was pretty well stocked but the knife block was empty and there were only about 2 knives in the drawers. I would def stay again.

Considering the amount of money I spent I expected simple things. No television in either bedroom, floors were not clean nor did they appear to be. Master bathroom was redone but only partially. Considering it was purchased a year ago by new owners I would thought the furniture would have been more updated.

Family Reunion

This place was great. The master bedroom with the queen bed along with the second main bedroom (double bed, not queen size as stated), were all on the main floor. Upstairs was a very spacious bedroom with lots of sky lighting and 3 sets of bunk beds was a wonderful place for my kids to rest and have quiet play space when needed. I would just say to bring someone to cover the sky lighting if you don't want the sun waking them up early. there is a blind you can pull over the window, but it still lets in a decent amount of light. This place was wonderful and the property management was very responsiver whenever needed. It was beautiful community. The only true downside for us was that we were there on a family reunion and all the other families houses were close together, outside of this property. It tooks us so long to drive to the other houses for dinner each night (which felt tedious with small kids). As a guest (and not an owner on the property), you cannot use any of the back gates in an out of the property, only the main gate. To get to the bay side beach where the water is very quiet takes about 8 minutes, and for the ocean side beach where the waves are much larger, it takes about 10 minutes. It took 5 minutes just to get through the property to the front gate. This was a surprise to us and very frustrating at first. We quickly adapted, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. It did not take 3 minutes to drive to beach as stated on amenties.

It was ok for a last minute book.

Our beach front rental was getting crowded so we decided to branch off. We thought we were purchasing another house. We had never stayed in this area before. It was a duplex type setting. It wasn't bad since the other half was only occupied 2 nights. The cleaning definitely needs improving. I was getting globs of hair and dust off my 10 month old, i mean like someone cleaned a brush out through out the place. There were food wrappers under the beds. I actually cleaned out from underneath our bed because you could just see it. Husband found hair in the shower he was using. The place is not baby proof and there was no way we could get a portable baby gate to stay where the stairs were. We brought several and none of them would work. You have to purchase an amenities pass to use the pool. It was $288.75 (paid 8/1/22) for the week. It took me three days to finally get one. They only give 5 a day (each one good for 8 people). I got one by getting in line at 730am and was the 4th one in line. The pros to the place. It does stay nice and cool. They have a nice empty pantry for storing things. Towels were provided (we used our own because of the cleanliness of the place). The view is pretty and the neighborhood is quiet. The wildlife is amazing and was my favorite part. The deer would just walk right past our cars. Big deer too.

70th bday Weekend was perfect

The Pirates den was the perfect place for my family to celebrate my Big Sister’s 70th birthday. She had a great time. So did the rest of the family. Edisto Island is the best of SC beaches. Hope it keeps its charm.

Great Family Spot

Home was cute and spacious. A great place for hanging out with views of turtles and a bald eagle at the adjoining pond. Bunk room was a big hit with the kids. Decor is modern and updated. Kitchen is well stocked. One of the best family vacations we've taken. Would definitely stay again!

The Pirates Den

Quiet, peaceful escape with bonus wildlife viewing! Various birds & waterfowl, turtles, and over a dozen deer visited the pond this unit overlooks. The resort has a beautiful pool, nice playground, tennis/pickle ball courts, and a challenging 18 hole mini golf and we loved riding bikes in the area. You will need to drive to the beach or take a good long walk to get there.
