Situated in the heart downtown of Boothbay Harbor, our 1-bed studio harborfront apartment - The Coal Shack - is walking distance to independent shops, restaurants and boat cruise tours. Stroll outside your front door to Pier 1 and Pier 8 to book whale watching tours, or arrange day trips to the sleepy and sparsely populated Monhegan Island.

Our newly renovated studio is warmly furnished with timber walls, copper fixtures and rustic furnishings. With one bed and a sofa sleeper, this apartment sleeps two adults and one small child. Our property is ultra pet-friendly. Need somewhere to take your furry friend? Grab your leash, and enjoy the convenience of a grassy park just outside of the front door. Or head to the off-leash trails, which are just a short drive away. Stop into nearby Two Salty Dogs store and grab a treat for your fur baby!

INSIDE THE HOUSE

Timber flooring and walls bring a cozy-yet-updated vibe to this newly renovated 1-bed studio apartment. Unwind in the living area, which has a sleeper sofa, leather swivel chair and flat screen TV.

Double French doors open out to a small mahogany deck with incredible views of Boothbay Harbor. Grab a seat in a padded club chair and watch fishing boats and yachts glide across the water.

A well-equipped kitchen features stunning Brazillian Blue Granite countertops, copper fixtures and contemporary digital appliances including a built-in microwave, dishwasher, convection steam oven, induction stove, Magic Bullet, and Keurig machine for brewing up morning coffees.

After a day of whale watching or shopping around downtown, take a hot soak in a the gorgeous river rock shower. When you’re ready to slumber, head to your relaxing master bedroom where a brand new queen bed awaits.

Located in the heart of Downtown Boothbay Harbor, our 1-bed studio is just a block away from the waterfront - with on site parking - putting you within walking distance of fishing, boating and sailing tours. Your four-legged friend will enjoy miles of dog-friendly hiking trails.

Book whale watching trips with Cap'n Fish and go in search of minke and humpback whales surfacing along the Maine coastline. Or head to Schooner Eastwind and enjoy tours around the Burnt and Ram island lighthouses. Take part in Cabbage Island lobster bakes, and enjoy some locally caught oysters on the half shell!

Our central location is also just a short stroll from local shops, independent home decor stores and fabulous restaurants. For traditional Italian classics, walk next door to Ports of Italy or a short walk to Harborside Tavern for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can also indulge on specialty foods at Eventide (located right across the street), buy a special treat for your furry friend at Two Salty Dogs Pet Outfitters, and visit Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, which hosts Garden's Aglow and Festival of Lights in Boothbay Harbor.

Winter nights are aglow at Boothbay's Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens! Maine's largest light display just got even larger, with over 360,000 (and counting!) LED lights illuminating the central gardens and buildings and drawing festive crowds from all over.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
