Tioga Hideaway at Wellsboro features central air, on-site laundry, gas grill for delicious outdoor meals, and a fully equipped kitchen including a dual coffee pot and Keurig for your morning brew. Gather in the open kitchen, dining, and living area with Smart TV and cozy gas fireplace. The main bathroom boasts a spacious walk-in shower and a laundry area, with a bonus half bath at the back of the house.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Spacious and roomy with plenty of seating for all. The kitchen is well stocked. The game room was a fun spot. Plenty of outside seating around the fire pit as well. The host was quick to respond with any inquiries. The perfect mountain getaway!! We will be back.

A great House and a terrific town

We love the house which has everything we needed. Several deer made nightly trips onto the property, which we really enjoyed. Wellsboro is a terrific town, and Hills Creek State Park is beautiful and well-kept. Altogether it was a great trip,

Our wonderful week in winter wonderland!

The cabin is spacious, clean, and has everything you can imagine that may be needed. We were very comfortable the entire stay. There are four of us, two couples and we had more than enough room without being crowded. A second bathroom would be nice but the half bath made things work out fine. Upon arrival we found the home to be immaculate and inviting. The decor was perfect for the cabin. The king bed was perfectly soft and we slept well every night. The queen beds were more firm. The weather presented a winter wonderland for the length of our stay and made our visit memorable as we do not get a lot of snow in NC. The dining room table and chairs are quite unique. They are really cool, made from tree branches, just be careful as the chairs tip over easily when standing up. We enjoyed the games that were provided inside the cabin. We chose not to trek out to the game room which is separate from the cabin. We will definitely go back but may choose the fall so we can enjoy more of the outdoors. The back deck would be great for those cool evenings and the fire pit would be wonderful. Next time!I highly recommend this vacation home whether your stay is short or extended.

Items for Consideration

Driveway by the cabin was very muddy and wet making entry a mess. Suggest more crushed stone - especially near the back entrance. No mat at the front door. Suggest adding one either inside or outside. Linens smelled too much of a laundry soap or dryer substance. It was extremely annoying. Suggest not using any product that has added fragrance when washing or drying the linens. Bathroom sink very very slow to drain. Addressed by previous communication. Check in and check out times should be adjusted when no guests are in the cabin one day before and one day after a guest, like in our case. The 4:00PM check in and the 10:00AM checkout is unnecessary then and very much an impediment to a nice stay. Suggest 3:00PM and 11:00AM whenever possible - like Motels. The TV was impossible for us to figure out. After about an hour we gave up and it was not turned on again. Some written instructions about how to access free programs would help. The Kitchen/Dining/Living areas were extremely nice and much appreciated. Keep up the good work! The Bedrooms were also nice - especially the two small ones. Did not visit the Game Room. Especially enjoyed the gas fired stove. At this time, we are planning a return next year.

While actually being a spacious 3 bedroom house, it had the feeling of being a vacation cabin. It is in an excellent location for getting around Potter-Tioga counties, especially the "Grand Canyon" of PA. The only disappointment was the lack of wildlife. The day we arrived, we saw 7 deer feeding across the street. After that nothing. Unfortunately, this was a common theme throughout the area at this time. We did not have our cell service activated while we were there, so we had no way to ask why the AC/Furnace seemed to be shut-off (thermostat was blank). This was not a problem as the whether was mild. The gas fireplace worked great at taking the chill off, especially in the morning.

The property is lovely, close to Wellsboro downtown, and the game room was awesome. We all enjoyed making smores at the fire pit, and the bedrooms were roomy for the five of us. Two of the beds were squeaky but very comfortable. I recommend this property with five stars!

Family had a wonderful time!

The property was as described, clean and accommodating. The kids loved the game room and overall ascetic of the cabin. It was a great place to unwind after hiking the canyon. 100% recommend!

Cozy getaway

The house is very nice, well equipped, and comfortable. The driveway is a bit challenging at the entrance at the road, and pretty wet at the top. Other than that it’s a great place for a couple or small family to stay. Communications were excellent!

Great stay

Great property and location. We cooked, played games, and had a fire. Everything was excellent! We hit five state parks while in the area. Would definitely recommend (and will probably be back!)

Perfect place. Exceptionally clean and well stocked

Lots of hiking opportunities with beautiful state parks, lakes, and trails close by. Very close to the Pine Rail Trail and the PA Grand Canyon. Just 5 miles from Wellsboro. No way we could do all the area had to offer in one week. We will be back. The house is PERFECT and exactly as pictured. And cleaned beyond any I’ve ever rented in this price range. I truly felt I could eat off the floors. (No worries. I didn’t!)

Wonderful!

My wife, two kids and I just got home from our week at this property. We absolutely loved it. It's fairly secluded in a beautiful setting. The location is great relative to the downtown area for restaurants/shopping (while still feeling like you're in a rural setting) and hiking - the two top things in our plans. The cabin is nicely furnished and overall has an updated look on the inside. The couches are super comfortable. Perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed the firepit outside and the game room as well. Two small points to consider: 1) if you have small kids that like to run outside (ours are 1 and 3), the yard is not great for that. A bit older, it would be fine, but ours are still a bit wobbly. 2) We were very glad we drove our SUV rather than our car. That goes for the general area as well, not just the property. We'd love to stay here again if our vacation plans take us to northern Pennsylvania again. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent Base for Hiking in the PA State Parks

Our stay was exactly what we anticipated and we were very pleased with everything. The cabin was very clean and perfect for our stay in the Wellsboro area. What a great location to hike the PA State parks! Our favorite was watching the sunrise on the deck while reading our morning devotions.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed in this wonderful cabin to see the dark sky park at Cherry Springs state park. It was very cozy and they had everything we needed. Our kids (9 and 12) really enjoyed the game room. We would definitely stay here again.

Visited with a couple of friends to enjoy some outdoor activities in the area. Absolute perfect location - within 15 minutes of PA Grand Canyon, 45 minutes of Cherry Springs State Park, and 5 minutes of downtown Wellsboro. Home was immaculate and communication was great. Highly, Highly recommended.
