Boho Bungalow in the Heart of SoSo

Welcome to La Cajita!
Renovated in Summer 2023, this charming three bed/three bath home is in the Southend ("lake block") of West Palm. Two queen bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one twin bedroom with bathroom accessed from the hall. The property has a heated pool, sitting and dining patios and a great built-in grill area for creating fun family meals.
The kitchen is fully appointed with a breakfast table that seats four. Directly off the kitchen is the dining porch with seating for six.
Loads of space in the living room for chilling indoors and a great outdoor patio to relax with friends and family.
The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. The intracoastal waterway and the Flagler Drive Waterfront Walk are a block East. A few blocks in the other direction is South Dixie Highway and its many shops and restaurants. (We provide a list of our faves before check-in).
Palm Beach’s Worth Avenue is 3 miles away, the Palm Beach County Convention Center is 3.5 miles away and Clematis Street (home of the most wonderful Green Market on Saturdays) is 4 miles away.

Once weekly housekeeping is included for stays of a week or more. Additional housekeeping can be provided for an additional fee.
High quality bedding, bath and beach towels. Ortigia bath amenities.

The house has security cameras on the exterior of the home that monitor the perimeter of the property and pool. While the neighborhood is wonderfully safe, they're there just in case!

Spectacular house

This house is like decorator's showcase. The interiro is truly beautiful, perfectly laid out, comfortable, pristine, a complete dream. I cannot imagine why the owners choose to let anyone else occupy it! The pool and the rear landscaping are magazine worthy; you just don't want to go anywhere else. Two long blocks to the east is a long pedestrian walkway along the channel between West Palm and Palm Beach; perfect for strolling, or running. The neighborhood is quiet and removed but somehow 5 minutes from everything you need... but I would stay here even if it were on the moon.

Glorious spring break in WPB at La Cajita

This is our second time at this house. It is beautifully designed and laid out as a vacation home. The mattresses, pillows, bedding and towels are lovely. The kitchen is super well equipped and the outside areas are comfortable and welcoming. We could not ask for a better vacation home.

So Stylish, So Super: So Cool in SoSo

We were well acquainted with Trish Becker’s keen eye for design, art and vintage from a previous rental. La Cajita has been beautifully executed, with exuberant tile patterns in the bathroom, a comfy and darling backyard pool area, and lovely linens. It is many levels better than the standard VRBO. It goes without saying that it is completely outfitted with what you need. Trish herself is delightful and helpful. You’ll LOVE staying here!

Amazing Stay!

This house is perfection - beautifully decorated and very comfortable and clean! It has a lovely private backyard with a great swimming pool and really could not be more charming! The owners are fantastic to work with as well!

Backyard oasis

Lovely property. Tasteful vibe, high quality finishes, well-kept inside and out. The backyard is a little slice of heaven, private, nice sun exposure, adequate seating poolside and covered outdoor dining plus well-manicured and maintained to ensure best get away experience. Trish was a delight to work with. Easy, responsive, a wonderful stay. Will come again!

Beautifully equipped Florida bungalow

Whether for family, friends or tourism getaway, La Cajita is really ideal. We combined a family holiday with college spring break and a couples retreat! La Cajita was perfect for all. All new appliances and cook worthy equipped Kitchen Trish has it all. The curtains are black out, mattresses are new and comfy, plenty of closet space. The outside seating areas are lovely, shady and the pool a dream. Shallow areas for sunbathing on the chic pool furnishings. We could not have asked for more. Bathroom for each bedroom and when the pool is dirty, Shazam, Rich shows up to vacuum. We are coming next year!!!!

Fresh and chic!

We had our third perfect stay at La Cajita and are looking forward to returning next year. That says it all-- The bungalow was recently renovated and is sparkling/chic/comfortable. The new pool is the perfect place to relax. Every detail has been considered... from the fluffy Matouk towels to the Ortigia soaps to the Languiole flatware. We had a very memorable night during our stay -- had a few friends over. Grilled swordfish kabobs, sat by the pool which was illuminated along with the palm trees. Special. Whenever we had a question, the owners were extremely responsive and helpful.

Calm and well appointed retreat.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was a last minute booking after we were let down by another reservation. Everything about checking in and our stay was simple and easy. Set in a quiet neighborhood this house is clean and bright with cool, calm decor that could have come from a suite at a resort. Well appointed amenities, every room had access to its own bathroom. With two preteen and teen girls this was a must! Everything was provided for. We didn’t have to search anything out, everything was where you would expect it to be. Mid week cleaning was offered but we didn’t use it. The house is close to everything you could need, a grocery store and other convenience stores are very close by. We walked the neighborhood everyday, going down to the water way with a view of Palm Beach on the other side. It felt safe and quiet. My children rode bikes several times from the house to the broad walkway running along the waterfront. This was a great place to return to, to rest and recharge after our daily excursions. I couldn’t recommend it more. I know that this will be the first place I check for availability if we return to West Palm Beach. Five stars all the way!

Trish’s place is impeccable. It was tough to leave. My whole family enjoyed their stay and we were blessed with excellent weather and great service from Trish and the cleaning staff alike. We will be back !! Thank you for a wonderful week.

SoSo Perfect!!!

We enjoyed everything about our stay at this lovely house in WPB. We have had the fortune of staying in another house that was owned by the same owners as this house so, we knew all would be amazing and we were not wrong. First off, the location could not be more perfect. You are a block and a half from the intercoastal so, you can wake up and take a waterfront stroll or run along palm tree lined Flagler Dr. After that, you can come home and either sip your morning coffee or Nespresso (Which is generously provided!) on one of two beautifully appointed outside sitting areas in the lovely fenced in large back yard. If you are not in the mood to be outside, the interior seating is just as appealing and comfortable. Back to the details on the amazing location... If you want to venture out for a bite to eat, anytime of day, the choices that are both within walking distance or a short car ride away are varied enough to please any palate and mood you are in that day. We really enjoyed Havana, Howley's, La Sirena, Grato, Aioli, La Cabana, and Kitchen. Not to mention the fact that Palm Beach is just a short 10 min drive away... If you are venturing out a bit further to explore you are just a short drive from I-95 as well. Another bonus we discovered is how quiet and calm the neighborhood is. If you are arriving by air the Palm Bech Intl. Airport is 9 min away. As far as grocery shopping, anything you are looking for can be found a short drive off of S. Dixie from Publix to Bedner's Farm Fresh Market to Winn Dixie to Independent Seafoods. This area truly has it all!! Secondly, the house itself is perfect! The owners have thought of every detail not only in aesthetics but, as well as ease of use. The interior is impeccably decorated and designed from the beautiful and functional window shades to the lights that are on dimmer switches to the kitchen cutlery to the sheets and towels - which are to die for! You could not want for anything better. The design and color palette create an oasis for you to rest and relax. We came away with a feeling of being a guest and just not another renter. And last but not least, the communication with the owners is perfection. From the initial welcome when confirming this reservation to working on things during the stay to the close of our trip the communication is friendly and attentive. We plan on returning many more times!

Trish and Rich started renovating houses and turning them into vacation rentals in the Bahamas in 2010. In 2020, they fell in love with West Palm and decided to do the same. They love creating warm, happy spaces and want their guests to feel like they're staying in the home of a friend.

We love this neighborhood! The street is quiet, our neighbors are lovely and viewing the sunrises and sunsets from the pool area is magical! We walk to our favorite bakery every morning and have some really terrific lunch and dinner places nearby too!

The house feels like a home-away-from-home. We want our guests to LOVE what they see and feel - great bedding, towels and furnishings...a kitchen that's fully appointed and fun to be in...comfy spaces to hang out in alone or with friends and family. We don't want any one to feel like "its JUST a rental," we want them to be psyched that they rented this house and that they'll look forward to coming back year after year!!
