Walking distance to the ski resort! Welcome to Mt. Chillmore.

Newly renovated, the location of our townhouse is convenient to all the wonders of Beech Mountain! It is walking distance to the ski slopes and great hiking trails. There are restaurants, parks, and a sledding hill within 1 mile. The townhouse has new furniture, mattresses, granite countertops, and a cozy gas fireplace for a relaxing evening after a day of adventuring! There is a washer/dryer and the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, including a crockpot, blender and coffee pot. There is no air conditioning but the summer temperatures on Beech are mild (average 75 degrees) and each bedroom has a fan.

The townhouse is three stories with two bedrooms - one queen and 4 single bunks - and a bathroom on the first level. The queen bedroom has a balcony with a ski swing outside to relax and enjoy the view. The kitchen and family room are on the second floor, along with a balcony and a beautiful view of the mountain. The third floor has the master bedroom and bathroom.

Would stay here again

Our 3-generation family weekend trip to Beech Mountain was memorable, and this condo was a great home base for us. The condo was clean and all the beds were comfortable. The Christmas decor was festive but surprising in March. We were also surprised that the bedroom on the third floor with the king bed did not have blinds on the west-facing windows, even though the other bedroom windows all had blinds.It was hard to go to sleep until the ski resort turned off the bright lights at the cosmic snow tubing area late at night. One light bulb was burned out on a wall sconce in the living room, which made it hard to read in that room, but that was not a big issue. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The property owner graciously worked with us to shift our dates after two of us came down with the flu a few days prior to our original reservation dates. We highly recommend this property!

Mountain time with my favorite people

Perfect cozy place to stay after a long day of skiing. All the beds were very comfortable as mentioned in all the other comments. I would recommend staying here to all my friends and family.

The place was in a great location and easy in and out with weather. It’s small and cute. We are a family of five, so it was plenty of room for us. The owner is nice and very responsive.

Great property

Super quiet condo in the middle of town, very close to the Land of Oz. Fantastic host who was always very quick to respond to communication. The bunk room was perfect for the cousins to snooze together and I was able to sleep in the top floor away from the talking! We would certainly stay again.

This house was perfect for our two families. The kids loved the bunk bed room. The house was clean and cozy! Kelsie has been one of the best hosts I’ve communicated with on VRBO. She was prompt with her responses and so very kind. Would absolutely recommend this house.

Condo was great! Newly renovated and comfortable. Very close to Beech Mountain parking entrance. Walkable, if necessary. Perfect place for a quick ski getaway with kiddos.

Great for quick ski trip

The property is walkable to the ski slope, great for mornings when the parking lots quickly fill up. Then it’s easy for Dad to get the car and pick everyone up at the end of the ski day. The local deer will gladly eat your spare apples and strawberries. A great family trip.

Very nice, clean, convenient place to stay in Beech Mtn

This property is even nicer than it appears in the photographs! When we arrived it was spotless, the check procedures were simple and flawless, and there was even a welcome pack of different hot chocolates to try! The fireplace works perfectly, there are games and books, and all the little things like plenty of towels, toiletries for the bathrooms, extra TP, etc. Extremely convenient for getting to and from Beech Mtn Ski Resort (avoid the long traffic lines on peak dates!) and best of all Kelsie was very helpful and extremely responsive - she responded to all of our messages within minutes! A+ location, property and management!

Overall it was cute, tidy and perfectly located for our last minute trip. We got lucky to find it. Only lacked in the cleanliness department with regard to the kids bed sheets and bathrooms.

Perfect Christmas atmosphere

The place was perfect for our stay. The Christmas tree and decor made us feel as if we were in our own home for the holidays. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. I would stay here again.

Stay at beech mountain

We loved our stay here. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. We made Thanksgiving dinner there and loved seeing the deers every morning near our windows. The views are beautiful and the trails are amazing near the condo. We had a blast at tootsie railroad’s Christmas light show. We headed to the mystery hill museum in Boone too and it was so fun for our kids. My girls loved walking the trails. Recommend famous brick pizza near by! The gyros and pizza are great.

There was only a minor issue with the listing details but Kelsie's communication was perfect. The property is GORGEOUS, beautifully decorated, clean, and the beds were soooo comfortable to the point as soon we left I looked up the mattress to purchase one for my home. I would highly suggest staying here!

Excellent stay at Beech Mountain

Unit was very clean and decorated so nicely. Enough room for 8 of us. Good use of space. Deer were right outside the door a few different times which our kids loved. Host responded quickly whenever we reached out to her with questions. Great experience!

We are a family of 5 with three adventurous daughters! We fell in love with Beech Mountain several years ago during a trip with friends to explore. It amazed us how much each of our daughters took to hiking, river walking, and exploring (and of course collecting ALL the sticks, acorns, rocks that they could carry!). They were so happy just being outside in nature that we knew we found a special place. We started looking for a place to fix up and rent so we could enjoy time on the mountain and provide a place for other families (especially with young children like ours) to do the same. We've been working on our townhouse for almost a year and finally are ready to share it!

We saw so much potential in this property when we started our search. The location was perfect, we liked having two bedrooms on one floor, the living space in the middle, and the third story for additional friends or grandparents! We can walk to most places we want to explore while we're here and that's a huge benefit for us!

Our location makes our place exceptional. With the ski slope in walking distance, you do not have to worry about driving and parking. Beech Mountain Resort has so much to offer year round. Skiing, snowboarding and tubing in the winter (with ice skating coming next year!) and mountain biking in the summer. Riding the ski lift to the 5506' Skybar in the summer offers amazing views and live music.
