Lodge on shared 60 acre equestrian ranch in Black Forest, Colorado with high speed fiber optic and hot tub! Adorable Miniature Horses and Miniature donkeys to enjoy ! Less than 10 minutes from stores and restaurants and 20 minutes from Colorado Springs! Cabin has Fiber Optic wireless so you can get away but be connected with home office or school! Other tenants on ranch but yet very private! The cabin has garage, washer and dryer, new stainless steel stove, microwave, dishwasher, 75 inch tv , jetted tub and upgraded mattress completely supplied with dishes, linens and toiletries. If you are interested in riding horses please ask and I can forward you the person in charge that will help you with pricing and availability.

We had such a wonderful stay. The place was very comfortable and relaxing. The host was so much help. They were great. We enjoyed getting to give all of the miniture donkeys, miniture horses and horses treats everyday.

This was the perfect place for our family to stay for a few days! If you love animals, the horses and donkeys are amazing! The neighbors who own some of the horses and took a couple of us riding, for a very reasonable fee, were so welcoming and helpful! They taught us all the steps of preparing a horse to ride and how to interact with horses! We love the country and wildlife so being a half hour outside of Colorado Springs was well worth it! We were still close enough to do things downtown! The cabin was very clean, well cared for, and had all the kitchen staples. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends or family who were visiting this area! Oh and check in was smooth and it has reliable WiFi even though cell reception in the area is a little spotty. There was no problem staying in contact with our petsitters back home.

Great peaceful lodge with mini horse and donkeys. Very quite and unique. Owner communication was excellent. Only 5 min to town.

Ranch House

Such a fun, Colorado experience on an equestrian farm! Our children especially enjoyed Amanda the caretaker and helping her with the animals and feeding. Also loved the horseback riding on the trails!! Will stay again if we are in the area. Host was amazing!!!

My sister and I went to my sons wedding, and we found this fun location.We had a wonderful experience.I will definately consider scheduling this cabin again.Loved the horses and location.Next time I will plan in advance to ride horses.They are beautiful.

Horse ranch stay

We drove in during a springtime snowstorm and it was wonderful to open the front door to a stove burning and the TV playing relaxing music. We had a wonderful stay and the host and on property managers were helpful and friendly.Two suggestions:1. The second bedroom with bunk beds have slanted sky lights that lit up the room at day break. It would be great if there was some way to cover them. Otherwise advise people to bring sleep masks.2. I missed having a full length mirror somewhere in the cabin.Thanks again!

Great place to stay!

We stayed here while attending our nephews wedding just following Thanksgiving. It is nicely decorated with comfortable beds and very clean. It was a little cold, however, there were lots of blankets and they kept the gas fireplace burning. We would stay here again.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Lodge! From the easy communication to the comfortable accommodations, everything was simply wonderful. Our host was easy to get in touch with, the hot tub was excellent, high speed internet was easy to connect to, and there was a horse named Lovey Dovey to greet us each morning. Simply everything we needed was available, from soap and towels, to hair dryers and a full kitchen; laundry available for clean clothes before departure... we were even offered a late check out without asking! There was ample shopping 5 minutes away, horseback riding excursion on site as an option, a large Smart TV in the living room, and a cozy fireplace for the chilly nights. The light switch for the two bedrooms was difficult to find: it was on the TV wall and ran both rooms simultaneously... but that is literally the only critique I could think of during our amazing stay.

Wonderful stay

Very peaceful home. Peter and Amanda are wonderful! They went above and beyond to make our vacation the best for our horse loving daughters. It was close to everything we needed. Would definitely go back.

Love being around all the horses! The cottage was lovely, only a short drive to groceries and eating. Would definitely recommend it!

Really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful stay! Clean, full amenities, cool atmosphere, easy communications and great neighbors. We loved our stay there and loved seeing the mini horses and the full-sized horses staying on this section of the ranch. We would highly recommend to others!

Great location for parents weekend

We were in town for parent's weekend at the Air Force Academy. We have usually stayed in Colorado Springs, but this was way better. Very easy to get to the Academy about 25 min. The town of falcon was close by which had whatever we needed as well as several restaurants in black forest. None of these were crowded as is often the case for parents weekend. The house was great and very comfortable. It had everything we could have needed. It is also on a horse farm which was very nice and relaxing for our cadet. Would definitely recommend the property and the location.

A nice country get-away

This property had all the amenities we needed for a week away from home. It was comfortable, cozy, clean, and perfect for our family to enjoy time away. The horses were the icing on the top!!

Phenomenal Winter Wonderland

My family spent 12 days here for Christmas & New Years. It was an absolute winter wonderland. Deanna has created such a beautiful & cozy retreat it was so hard to say goodbye. The beds are soft & there are lots of comfy couches & chairs to choose from. My 12 & 14 yr old boys shared the big spacious bunks with no problem & our pup really loved the fenced in front yard to run & check out the wildlife. The pictures just do not give this beautiful place justice! The jet tub was an extra treat after our excursions to Pikes Peak, the national parks, trails & other mountain attractions within a day’s outing. Deanna provides all the extra necessities from linens, towels, pillows, toiletries, laundry detergent & a stocked kitchen with everything you’ll need, just add food. She even provides a Keurig w/ pods for your coffee enjoyment. The cabin has a washer, dryer & a nice bbq pit with lots of outdoor seating in the garage as well. Our boys were big fans of the 75 in TV when we would snuggle in for the night watching movies & enjoying the warmth from the pot belly fireplace nearby. Can’t forget to mention the beautiful horses & birds, silly goats & sweet minis nearby, we also friended the neighbors & their beautiful horses as well. I could literally go on forever. We honestly truly enjoyed ourselves here & highly recommend this phenomenal place! It’s the perfect vacation retreat away from home! We will definitely book here again on our next trip back to Colorado.

Rustic Comfort/Great Location

We needed a place to stay while attending my husband’s Academy reunion activities. This was perfect as it gave us plenty of room to roam with our pups but was not more than 15-20 minutes away from Colorado Springs area and Academy. The drives in and out were picturesque! We were hosted not only by Deanna but the neighbors were very friendly and sweet as well. Be aware you have one bathroom so if you are used to not sharing that space and sometimes waiting, you may run into that:) We enjoyed our walks in the fields behind us and also up and down the road near the horse pastures! Also, having the fenced in area as you enter the cabin was a nice place to sit and be able to watch our medium size dogs off leash a bit. We had food from The Grill at Latigo and one of the breakfast places in Peyton. Both were delicious. Friendly outgoing wait staff at both! Of course we were thrilled at the Air Force /Navy game that AF won! The Keurig was a nice single brew but there was also a regular coffee pot with selections of tea and coffee. We want to return in the future with family so they can also enjoy the Pine Run Ramch cabin.

Nice but dark

Several lights did not work and the shower wand didn't work. Had to rearrange so there was seating for 4 to eat. Nice atmosphere and fun to see all of the animals.
