Great property w/ convenient location

The property was nicely appointed, clean, comfortable and close to downtown Ottawa where there are plenty of cute shops and restaurants. If you visit around the holidays there’s even a cute Christmas market downtown with lots of local vendors.

Modern and warm

This location was fantastic. It was just the right size with modern touches throughout with a sense of warmth. The manager was easy to contact and responded very quickly.

Great place / Nice location

Clean and nicely decorated. Two bedrooms and two full baths served us well. Quiet neighborhood. Close to Starved Rock park where the hiking is awesome. Very conveniently less than 1 mile from Kroger's. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Decent rental in Ottawa

The property met basic expectations, was consistent with listing. The bed in BR 2 had a sagging issue, due to an isue so was uncomfortable. The unit needs some towel bars & lamps.

Nice homey feel not far from downtown

This place was great. Quick drive to many things. We went to Buffalo rock state park and then to tangled roots brewery for dinner and out to few bars after. Very nice to come home to a nice place to sleep. Very clean. Only thing is the tv in master didn’t work so I’d fix that…

Great place for a Girls weekend!

Clean, looks just like picture. Easy to get to. Calm quiet neighborhood just a few minutes from Kroger grocery store and main road with eateries. The Salt Tree Yoga Spa Ottawa is so close to this home, so we got our spa on, grabbed some groceries, and chilled out at a home away from home:). Bare minimum supplies but got the job done for dinner, snacks, and breakfast. Would definitely come back.

Training week

Hope was clean and well represented. Quiet neighborhood except for the neighbors car alarm at 0330. Had to get up early anyway. Was very easy to communicate with the owner.

Mama's Weekend

Once a year I get together with my daughter, niece and daughter in-law, to celebrate Mother's Day. We needed a place for one night and this house was perfect. The house was clean and comfortable with a couch that had plenty of room for all to spread out and a watch a good movie on the large TV. Beds are comfortable and it was nice to have two full bathrooms. It is in a great location, close to downtown Ottawa, for dinning, shopping, and just walking around enjoying the music and nightlife. thank you so much we had a wonderful time.

Work in progress but nice enough

Appears we may have been the first to stay in this newly/in process reno with some still need to be finished projects. Nicely appointed in quiet neighborhood. Cleaning fee is a bit high and think it may be going into the reno budget limited towels, soap, and other standard amenities.

Not luxury at all

We were met with unmowed front and back yards. Weeds. Dead flies and ants inside. Dirty sofa. AC thermostat not able to be adjusteded. Contacted host. She was supposed to have maintenance contact us. No one did. She disregarded our other messages. We ended up leaving a night early. We reported all this to VRBO. Left a day early. Host did not care at all.

Not comfortable or cozy

We only stayed 1 night, so I wasn't too upset by the lack of towels and kitchen supplies. But what really stood out to us was the very stained couch. It was gross and we wouldn't sit on it without towels down (which there was only 2 towels for 4 people). The sides of the living room chairs were all frayed from what looked like cat scratches, and all of the windows had very little window coverings and were see through. Which is unsettling to people not used to the neighborhood. The beds and pillows were not comfortable at all, and there were no throw blankets to cover up with in the living room. There was no curb appeal and needed mowing. The house wasn't completely terrible, but NOT worth the money spent. We were wishing we stayed at a hotel instead.

Ottawa Getaway

Property lacked curb appeal, overgrown front lawn with patches of dried/ dead grass throughout. My friend and I were a little nervous about going inside based on what we saw outside. Nicely surprised inside, looked like the online photos. Walking through the unit we noticed that there were no towels in the bathrooms, found towels in the dryer. Trash had no liner (which we placed ourselves found under the kitchen sink). Lots of closets with no hangers! No hooks or towel racks in bathrooms. Dishes left in the dishwasher, no dish towels nor paper towels. No blow dryer. This could be a real great property if someone actually made a few tweaks. Particularly following up with housekeeping. Initial communication should outline when we were to receive the address and entry code. We found ourselves not knowing details when well on the road to the town causing a bit of anxiety.

Nice place

Clean and well furnished. Only drawback was after reporting the porch light was out they didn’t come replace it. Made it difficult when coming back in the dark.
