Ottawa Oasis! Pool, Game room, Pet Friendly!

Welcome to the Ottawa Oasis! This pet friendly house comprises a downstairs unit with an in-law suite above. Just a 1 mile walk to downtown Ottawa and short drive to starved rock. Come back home after a long day hiking and cool off in the private inground pool. Cook dinner in either of the two kitchens in the house. Enjoy family game nights in the enclosed porch or playing pool.

There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor that include 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. The upstairs has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, and 1 large bedroom/ living room that contains a day bed with two twin beds and 2 full sized futons (This room does have its own doors to close off the room into a bedroom).

There are 2 kitchens in the house 1 located on each level. Each are fully stocked.

Additional info:
**Please do not park in the shared driveway. Pull all the way up to the garage or there is plenty of parking on the street**

Although we are pet friendly, we do require a one time pet fee of $150 for the stay.

We love sharing our home with all our guests. However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage we will only accept booking requests from:
-- Renters who are above the age of 25.
--Renters who will be staying during the reservation and are not booking for someone else.
--Renters who have less than 5 star reviews.

We want to disclose that we do have a noise monitoring device in this unit. This device ONLY monitors noise levels and alerts us when these levels reach a 75-decibel threshold (which is very loud) for more than 10 minutes straight. We understand large groups often book our home. We love our neighbors and do not want complaints about excessive noise levels.

We also have nest cameras at each entrance.

***Pool open May 24 through Oct 1, pool is not heated. We do keep a solar cover on it to maintain warmth. Pool depth ranges from 3 to 5 feet. The pool is serviced weekly by a professional pool service company. Since it is an outdoor pool there still may be debris in the pool at times.***

We do not have a washer/dryer available for guest use.

This is a beautiful home with character. It was very clean and had lots of activities for all types of ages from toddlers to seniors. The pool was a plus. The hosts were very accommodating to all of our needs. There is so much to do in the area which is a huge plus, close to shopping and restaurants/bars. It being dog friendly helped a lot for my family. The people in the area are very friendly as well, just overall an awesome stay. I highly recommend.

Charming house with a great pool

Check in was so easy. Kitchen facilities were great - nice stainless fridge, stove, and microwave. A regular drip coffee maker, a Keurig, and a nice supply of coffee and pods. Good counter space for all the goodies. The pool was awesome - not too big and not too deep (for the little ones). The house was a perfect size for our family vacation - spacious bedrooms and 2 updated bathrooms. Highly recommend!

Wonderful, quiet relaxing space!

This was the perfect place for my teaching team to get away for the weekend and relax poolside.This was a perfectly set up house for us. It has lots of things to do a great pool table, and two kitchens! This would be an amazing space for 2 families to vacation. Ottawa, was a lot of fun to explore and their downtown area was very impressive. We even got lucky enough to be able to explore their farmer's market and maker's market and got to see a car show! This property has all the amenities you could need and had toiletries in the shower. Definitely, a 5 star and would stay again!

Great location

The house was clean and check in/out was easy. It's really close to Starved Rock and Matthiessen which was the purpose of our stay. The property manager was very responsive and helpful.

Fantastic Spot Close to Starved Rock

We had a wonderful stay at this Ottawa Oasis! My husband, adult kids and grandkids all enjoyed it. The pool was a huge hit. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The town of Ottawa plus Starved Rock and Mathieson were all fun! The hosts were great and very responsive to questions. It was a perfect family trip!

Perfect for two families

Perfect Home for Two Families!Had an amazing stay at this property! It was absolutely perfect for a group of two families - my adult children and their families. The two kitchens were a great feature, giving each family the ability to enjoy coffee and drinks in the morning without disturbing the other. The house was clean and well-stocked with plenty of coffee options! There were so many fun activities to keep everyone entertained, including pool table, foosball, Pac-Man, axe throwing, and jumbo Connect Four. They had a blast! I can imagine how great the place is in the summer when the pool is open. The hosts even added a Christmas tree with some lights, which was a nice touch and definitely helped bring some holiday spirit to their stay.Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend this property for families or groups looking to relax and enjoy some quality time together.

Moving and Homeless!

We sold our home locally and are homeless until we close on the new house in December. This place was great for us to move out to and rest at for a few days. We did our best to leave the home better than how we found it. Thanks again!!

Loved It!

This property is located in a quiet, well established neighborhood. It is close to the historical downtown of Ottawa and just a short drive to Starved Rock and Buffalo Rock State Parks. We also visited the charming downtown in North Utica. The owners really thought of everything! There were special touches everywhere you look! It felt like a home away from home! We look forward to our next adventure and will be sure to stay here again!

Architectural Charm

Excellent family getaway

Everything at the property was as promised.. Host Matthew was always made himself available to answer any questions. Home was extremely spacious, Adults and kids all throughly enjoyed the pool and games they provide. Home was beautiful maintained and clean. Would diffently recommended this property for anyone considering it. If we're ever back in Ottawa we would forsure stay here again. The family also was very impressed with everything. Pool area fully fenced for kids and pets, Kitchen was great for family to gather and eat. Everyone had plenty of private space. Diffently a 5 Star experience. Thank you Matt for being so available and such a great Host.

Great Stay

The house was very spacious for my big family and it was very clean! We loved relaxing by the pool and making family dinners in the spacious kitchen! The sun room was also a great spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee each morning. The hosts were great at communicating with us during our stay. Definitely recommend!
