Are you seeking for your own private enclave only 15 minutes from Oceanside beach?
Villa Descanso has that special feel of a private oasis with your own private backyard pool and heated jacuzzi. Come and relax in our 6 bedrooms, 2.5 baths single story home. You will enjoy the breezy atmosphere and peace and quiet. There is a spacious backyard with the pool as well as a comfortable living room and dining room sitting 12. The pool can be heated to 80 degrees for $100 per day. The Jacuzzi is heated for no fee. There is also an outdoor covered patio for the perfect california indoor/outdoor experience! Each bedroom is outfitted with comfortable bed and linen. There is an open feel throughout the home and a modern decor!

Stayed here with family and friends as an anniversary present to ourselves, and used this as a spot to gather so family could come see us as opposed to us driving everywhere to see everyone else. There was plenty of space to hang, and visit comfortably. It was great to be able to kick our feet up by the fire while the kids were in the spa and that we were close enough to be comfortable enough to do so. Loved how the front entry way gate could lock so we could leave the front door open and let the kids out without worrying they might get to the street. Would definitely stay again!

We had a very nice stay. The property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything that we needed. There was plenty of space and a nice outdoor area to hang out. We really enjoyed the pool as well. We would definitely stay there again.

This house was wonderful! The owner was responsive and amazing. I needed a mixer and she had one delivered to the doorstep for me so I could bake for my family! We really enjoyed the beach toys too! Boogie boards were a HUGE hit! It really felt like a home away from home! Would definitely rent again!

Family Reunion

This stay was amazing! The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay as enjoyable, and took the stress out of the little things.From a day at the beach to a day in their wonderful pool- they have everything you need!I would recommend this place to any large family gathering because these accommodations can host a large family with ease.

Thanksgiving in Oceanside

It was wonderful! 8 adults, plenty of space, so many spots to gather indoors and out, very comfortable. Clean! Cooked everyday, kitchen was awesome for cooking for a crowd. Backyard was so fun! Coming from Boston it was such a treat. Running and walking trails close by that we used everyday, neighborhood is great. Would book another stay here in a minute!

Wonderful Stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. It is a beautiful home with nice facilities and features, able to accommodate a large family with kids and grandkids. If something wasn’t working they were fast to respond and help. Very comfortable beds and great pool/backyard. I would recommend this stay.

Awesome!!!!

It’s like being in an Italian villa located on a resort. Host provided all that was needed to enjoy the pool or the beach, which is only 10 minutes away. We hope to stay there for our next Oceanside visit. Awesome!!

Excellent Property for family

My family converged upon Oceanside from all over the US to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation. The property is so misleading from the front. Just wait unit you walk through the door! Once inside, it was huge and so inviting. The house has absolutely EVERYTHING you need in the kitchen and to relax, sit back, and enjoy. The pool was the perfect escape the whole week. TV’s in every room, big pool towels & beach chairs & toys are just a few of the perks. The host literally thought of everyone when stocking this place I would recommend 100%. So grateful I found this place. it made coming back “home” after 4 years even better.

Perfect spot for families!

Loved everything about this property. It was described perfectly! My family of 7 was in town for our sons wedding nearby. We all had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves in between the many wedding festivities.

December stay

We had a wonderful time at Villa Descanso! We stayed Christmas week with 4 teenagers/preteens, 4 parents and 3 grandparents. The property was clean and well kept, the kitchen well stocked, and there was lots of space for our extended family to spend time together. The spa and pool were relaxing for kids and adults alike. Elodie was very quick to respond even when we messaged her on Christmas Day about a last minute decision to heat the pool for the kids the following day. Thank you for a relaxing and wonderful stay!

Great Thanksgiving Holiday escape

Well run and super stocked home that was perfect for our three generation family to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. The pool is worth the heating cost as the littles loved it and while that was happening the massive TV's took care of the crew to watch the football games. The kitchen has everything you'd need and then some as we made all of our meals at the house. Will book again for sure.

Perfect place

We loved this home. We rented it with my siblings and parents to celebrate my Dad’s 70th birthday. We had several young children and an infant. There was plenty of room, lots of kid friendly things and they LOVED the pool and jacuzzi. We ended up just hanging out at the house more than we planned. Perfect place to gather for the weekend. This was heavenly. The house was beautiful, very accommodating, welcoming, and everything we needed plus more. The kids swam every minute they could in the lovely pool. I was impressed with the stock of pantry items and dishes, cooking supplies, etc. I highly recommend this house to anyone for a great experience. BIg 5 star approval

Spacious for a big group

I celebrated my 40th birthday with 6 of my friends and this space was perfect. It was like we had a slumber party but with our own rooms. The communal areas were spacious and the pool + jacuzzi was a really nice to just relax. We had a wonderful stay at the Descanso residence and would come again!

Family Friendly Property

House is very children friendly with house toys and pool toys provided. Went there for my 70th birthday celebration with our 2 children and spouses and our 4 grandkids who range in age from 1 year to 12 years old. We all had a great time. It was comforting that the pool was fenced. The house is very welcoming and beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. The only recommendation would be to have a regular pest service as the bugs will bite starting in late afternoon into evening. We brought bug spray but still got bit up.

Perfect Accommodations

This property is truly stunning! The house itself is beautifully decorated yet feels super homey at the same time. The owners really thought of everything when setting it up as a rental. We had everything we needed and more. I personally used this as a getting ready location for my large bridal party the day of my wedding. For anyone looking for a spot close to Botanica (5-min drive) this was an ideal location for our hair/makeup stylists to meet at. Plenty of space and great lighting too. The only improvement I’d suggest is perhaps pillow variation. I’m a fan very flat pillows and the pillows were very fluffy. I felt very propped up which it made it difficult for me to sleep. Definitely a personal issue, so if you like flat pillows, bring your own from home. Thanks for a great stay. Would highly recommend again.

Wonderful stay for your next gathering!

Great accommodations for our group of 12! The house was very spacious and everyone (from ages 3-80+) were comfortable! Marie and Brandon thought of everything - the house was well stocked and we loved gathering around both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Good location for Legoland and Safari Park. Highly recommended for large groups!

Perfect Find!!

When 4 families decided we wanted to do a vacation together, the hunt began in search of the perfect spot for 8 adults and 6 kids ranging in age from 3 months to 6 years. Enter Villa Descanso. This place had enough room for all 14 of us both inside and outside. Everyone kept saying how perfect of a find this house was. From the thoughtfulness of the bedrooms, which the kids LOVED having a kids room with a bunk bed and access to different toys and activities to a pool that had umbrellas for shade and a fire pit for s’mores - you can tell this place was designed to bring people of all ages together. The host was very responsive and we had no issues at all. Everything was clean and well-stocked! Definitely would go back.

We love this home because it is the perfect quaint get away in the San Diego area. It is big enough to house our extended family and there is plenty of space to spread out. It is only 15 min from Oceanside beach and we easily can get to Legoland and San Fiego.
