Allegheny Springs 2BR, 2BA with Private Entrance, in the village at Snowshoe. Gas Fireplace. Easy Slope Access, Steps to the Heated Pool/Hot Tub in the complex, Exercise Room. At the top of Ballhooter Chairlift.

When you pull up, you will see why Alleghey Springs is one of - if not the premier property at Snowshoe. Perfect location in the village - at the top of Ballhooter lift...you could not be in a better spot on the mountain. Valet parking if you choose or get a cart and unload under a covered area.

The 2BR is right off the lobby area but through 2 doors so this wing is a quiet area. Just across the hall is a door to the sauna/work out room and then through another door is the pool/hot tub area. Again, you could not be more centrally located. And just outside your condo you will be at the top of Ballhooter lift. Along with the condo you have access to a private ski locker (combination will be provided after booking).

In the condo, you will have a large bathroom off the kitchen, and a private bath for the master br. Full kitchen, large dining room and plenty of seats in the living room for your crew.

Nice getaway

We really enjoyed the location of this property. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and ski trails. Property owner/manager gave lots of good info prior to check in.

Enjoyed our stay! Clean and well stocked! Loved being able to walk out of the door to our car or out to slopes. Great communication with owner. Would stay here again!

This place was perfect! There were a couple of aesthetic things, but nothing that affects your stay. The location couldn’t be better! Would absolutely stay again with no hesitation. We loved it!

Allegheny Springs check in and check out counter personal we’re not very professional as for as helping with questions on checking in or out.Appeared not to want to be bothered since I booked through an outside party and not through them.

Nice condo with great ski access

Very comfortable and clean condo. Steps away from the Waffle Cabin and Ballhooter lift. Ski storage is also conveniently located and we loved the access to the Village. The unit does not have a washer/dryer, but the building laundry room is not far away (one floor down). I think the commercial dryers are more efficient. We skied two days in the rain and I was able to completely dry 3 adult ski jackets, 3 ski pants and 3 pairs of gloves in one load ($1.50 for 75 mins). We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Awesome Lift Off Point

We rented this property on a busy Fri-Sun weekend in Jan and it could not have gone any smoother. The property is exactly as the pics/description show and Martin was a very helpful host. The 1st floor location is awesome for loading/unloading the car and more importantly for getting to the lifts throughout the day. Beds were good, kitchen was well appointed and the living room is setup really well. Plus the smart TV is immensely helpful. The TV is a secondary concern since we ski a ton during the time on mountain but being able to do nextflix/hbo/ prime/etc for teenage boys at the end of a long day is a huge help. Gym with sauna are close to room as is the outdoor pool if that’s your thing in the middle of winter. We go to snowshoe 6-8 times a season and this is the best quality and price combo that I have found. Will be staying her a lot in 2023-2024!

Amazing Location

Loved this property for easy access to the lifts and perfect for riding as we had our own entry. Access to a pool, hot tubs, fitness, and dry sauna were also nice. This is the 3rd property I have stayed in at snow shoe, and will do my best to reserve this when we come back. The building has free bike storage, which is a bonus. The condo itself is clean and well equipped. Challenge was check in, as since they were doing repairs to the main building we had to check in at another property for this one. The customer service with the check in process was less than ideal. The staff is now back in the main building so this should not be a challenge in the future. However Snowshoe in general could up their game in the customer service department. The owner was great and communicated well, even providing a back up in case I was not able to reach the owner, which we had no need to do.

This ended up being an interesting stay. First the positive. Ski in/out was great.Now here’s where things went wrong. We got to the place, and master bathroom was not clean. Pile of dirty towels on the floor, messy shower, used soap, dirty toilet, and no toilet paper. Very unsanitary!!! Messaged the owner, who was very apologetic and let me know he would send the cleaners there asap. No one came that day or the next day.Third day, cleaners came, but unfortunately cleaned the already the clean bathroom and didn’t bother to clean the master bathroom. Why they didn’t just clean both bathrooms is beyond me. Owner was apologetic but sent me a picture of a clogged toilet (which was very disgusting) and said the cleaners probably only cleaned the bathroom with the clogged toilet. After looking at the picture, I realized he sent us a picture of a clogged toilet from a different place (flooring was different in the picture). Completely unprofessional and disgusting!!!Finally on our last full day, we were told the cleaners were coming. Got back from the mountain. Still a mess. We got cleaning solution from the bar next door and cleaned it ourselves. Told the owner no need to send cleaners since we are leaving the next morning. Owner had the option to make it right. Insulting refund!!! Will never stay with this owner again! I get things can go wrong, but treat your clients right!!!

Rodent Infested

This property was not as advertised, it was infested with rodents - they were witnessed on multiple occasions by myself and my family members. I contacted the owner immediately and he was unapologetic and said that was to be expected that we would have an infestation and we and our children would have to sleep with the active rodents. I have pictures of rodent feces in multiple locations in the condo as well as their nesting places (2 of them). The owner is unreasonable and did not offer any alternatives besides sending a cleaning crew (not exterminator) that had done the horrific cleaning job in the first place. He expected our children to sleep on the couch where the rodents were nesting!! We left the property as soon as this was discovered and the owner and VBRO offered no refund (full or partial). I contacted the health department and this is not up to standard and should not be rented out to the general public. I have all of the text messages from the owner, all of the pictures of the sub-par cleaning (which you will see why rodents are attracted to this property) and the chat with VRBO. Both the owner and VRBO should be ashamed. This is not acceptable by any standards, health department, personal and should extend to VRBO.

Disgusting - remove this listing from VRBO

Martin, the property manager, emailed at 6pm the night we arrived to say that “there was a mix-up with the cleaning. They are on the way there now to get the room ready.” The cleaning crew only made the beds to look like they cleaned. We found pubic hair, fake eye lashes, and boogers in the sheets. The sheets also smelled like mildew. The mold and odors caused my daughter to have an asthma attack. The towels were also filthy and one of them had blood on it. The cleaning crew folded the used towels to look like they were new. Both bathroom sinks were leaking. There is a stain on the wood shelf in the master bathroom that has clearly been there for a long time. There were cobwebs in every corner. The carpet was trashed. There were holes and cracks in the walls and lose baseboards. The blinds in the smaller room had tape on it because it is broken & people can see into the room otherwise. We called the host to complain and he acknowledged that there were a lot of problems and that he had trouble with his cleaning crew. He was also aware of the leaks in both bathrooms and there was clear water damage, pointing to a long term problem. This property should not be listed on VRBO with so many issues. After our complaint, the cleaners came back. They changed the sheets and towels, but left the bowl under one leaking sink. It was so appalling that we had to find another room at the resort.

Incredible

This condo is as advertised. The owner instructions and additional information were great and concise. The property was clean and ready when we got there. It was comfortable for my family and the most important thing was it's was cleaned and safe. We had a couple of questions and the owner was able to reply in a timely manner. The only problem was heating and from what I heard it was a problem across the entire resort, however it was resolved after the first day and the rest of our vacation stay at this property was fantastic. I will rent again in the future.

Great stay for skiing

Excellent location for proximity to loading/unloading area, just steps to the exit to the slopes, just steps to the pool and hot tub, and just steps to the village. A great location for the skier and family. We enjoyed our stay.

Location location location!

Great location. Convenient to the slopes, village, outdoor hot tub and lobby. Very clean condo. Kitchen had items needed to cook in. Owner answered any questions promptly. Great for up to 4 peeps. Alittle snug for 6 peeps but overall a clean and comfy condo in a great location.

Great location

Our unit was an amazing location. One door opened to the front check in drive, just outside the front door was access to slopes, pools, sauna and gym. Unit was clean and well equipped. There was a good bit of litter around the outside areas on a daily basis, kind of an eye sore and we did pick some up.

Great location and great condo for anyone that wants to have a Snowshoe experience.

We love the property. Everyone was very cordial and the condo we stayed in was conveniently located on the first floor. The exercise room and sauna is right across the hall. We never used them but a beautiful heated pool and two hot tubs right on the same floor as us. Would recommend this property highly.

Excellent, close to everything.

My husband and son stayed here for a ski vacation. The property was clean, comfortable, right next to the ski lift, and close to all the restaurants. My family could leave the slopes easily for breaks. The owner responded to questions promptly and offered resources. We would definitely rent again. Thank you for a great ski vacation.
