This recently updated home is perfect for your next vacation. 3 Bedroom/2.5 bath (Primary - Queen, Bedroom 2 - Queen, Bedroom 3 - Full and twin bunks. Golf Cart Included! Enjoy a beautiful 10-15 minute walk to the beach via the 9th St boardwalk, wash off salt and sand in the outdoor shower, relax in the hot tub or at the fire pit, enjoy your coffee or wine in the screened porch, get competitive playing on the ping pong table, corn hole or with provided board games, have a bbq using the gas grill (propane included) and fully equipped kitchen and check work email in the office space. Great upper deck along with plenty of covered entertainment spaces. Queen air mattress and portable crib/highchair also available upon request. Comfortably sleeps 8-10 with linens, towels and beach towels provided. Plenty of off-street parking too. 6 seat golf cart included!

Overall a wonderful stay! Host was fantastic and very accommodating. Golf cart came in handy on the warmer days we had and the cooler days the hot tub was a bonus! Would definitely come back

The home was very clean. On arrival, the beds were already made, a major plus for us.Everything you need is supplied, from the toilet paper to the trash bags, laundry. Everything.. the only purchase we had to make was our food. The hot tub was nice as well. Did I mention a golf cart was waiting on us? The neighborhood was quiet and charming. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks

New favorite place

This was our first time to Oak Island and it couldn't have been any better! This house was so clean and equiped with everything we needed. The host was great at communication and did a fabulous job of making sure we felt at home.

Perfect get away!!

My wife and I, along with our children spent 3 nights here and it is truly an amazing property. The house is on a quiet street on the tranquil Oak Island. The house was very clean and well stocked upon our arrival. The hot tub was very clean and a perfect addition to this already wonderful property. 10/10 would recommend and stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay in Oak Island. The house was beautiful and clean. We had everything we needed. We liked riding the golf cart to the beach. Since we went during the off season, the beach was quiet and we didn't have to pay for parking. Everything was close by and we found some nice restaurants to visit. There isn't much to do as far activities outside of the beach, but this was perfect for us. We just wanted a quiet, relaxing getaway and that's exactly what we got!

Great beach house rental!

This rental was clean and as listed! Having the golf cart available was great and made it very easy to get to and from the beach and other nearby activities! The owners were very easy to communicate with as well!

Wonderful!

Everything about this house and property was wonderful! We had an excellent stay here with all the amenities it has to offer. Super clean, exactly as described and very well stocked. Lots of cornhole and ping pong was played along with a lot of time spent in the hot tub. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Vacation

Very pleased with our stay. The house is beautiful. We had 6 adults and 1 child and we all had plenty of room. We had a small hiccup with the code to enter and the owner promptly rectified it. The owner always quickly answered when i had a question.

Sets the Standard

Everything was clean and as described on the listing! Wonderfully refreshing! Close enough to the beach we could have walked - if we wanted. Enough things to do/amenities to weather a poor stretch of bad weather. Owner was very responsive in communication. We would love to go back and stay longer!

They thought of everything

This was an easy stay. Honestly, that’s what I want from a rental property…give me the rules, keys, hours, recs, local info, well equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, and a smart tv, and I’m good. This property was EXACTLY as listed, and absolutely adorable. Loved it and will return. Bill and Konnor (local!) were responsive, knowledgeable and prompt. On top of all that…. GREAT mattresses and pillows (encased in allergen covers-love!) Fantastic artwork on every wall Every light switch labeled Golf cart to rent for easy trips (and easy parking!)to the beach Clean, clean, clean Quiet, safe neighborhood Plenty of gorgeous beach (striped) and house towels A dedicated work space A lovely hot tub Mesh swing under the house Easy to use house hvac controls Great weather and miles of beaches to walk and/or go shelling Thank you to our hosts! It is clear that you’ve spent a lot of time walking around your house asking yourselves, “what would a guest appreciate here, and how about here?”. ❤️💕❤️

Loved it!

Beautiful property and location! The house was so well appointed and lots of attention to detail. This was the first house we have rented on OKI where we felt we had everything we needed. They have thought of it all! Lots of space, too. We had our family (4) and grandparents (2). We spent a lot Of time on the porch- loved it. Golf cart was a wonderful added bonus. It made getting to the beach easy. Loved the location of the home- neighborhood was very quiet and nice to be by the ICW. We will stay again!! Thanks!

Truly Tranquil

Calm and Joy

The home is exactly like the photos, but what the photos don’t show is the vibe and energy of the place. What a joyful home. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the stress and urgency of everyday life melt away. It was remarkably well appointed, from everything we needed in the kitchen to the beach. The beds are so comfortable, and there are common spaces for family or for solitude. Since we were there in late May, having the hot tub was perfect, so that on the rainy days, our kids could still play in the water a little. We didn’t get the chance to use the outside rec. room, but thought that was such a cool feature. We rented the golf cart, and found it very handy for getting to the beach each day, and for getting around Oak Island. I really appreciated the owners guide book, and referred to their suggestion multiple times. Oak Island itself has great restaurants and the beach was fabulous. If you want a place where your worries can be set aside, and you feel at home, I would highly recommend Altitude Adjustment!

5 star getaway!

Altitude Adjustment at Oak Island was a great vacation getaway! Bill and Kirsten have made this a truly special place to relax yet feel at home! Not only was it spotless and cozy, but they have thought of every amenity you would need for a great vacation! Beach chairs, beach towels, hot tub, ample indoor and outdoor seating; great open kitchen with everything you need,comfortable beds and furniture , a golf cart to get around town and to the beach, and so much more! I love the area and the general friendliness of the Oak Islanders... there's so much to see if you want to take a fun drive to the neighboring towns and islands as well. Beaches are beautiful and not crowded and we had great meals at several restaurants. You will love Altitude Adjustment! I know we will go back!! Thank you Bill and Kirsten ❤️ and special mention to Konnor and Natalie and Lori! You guys are great! The Flynn Family

A little bit of everything

This property was as beautiful as the pictures. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The owners seem to have thought of everything we could want or need from a strainer to clean shells, kitchen necessities, beach towels and bags to take to the beach. We easily could have spent more time at this property. The hot tub kept us warm on chilly days, as we were there early in the season. The walk/golf cart drive to the beach was an easy one we did multiple times a day. The extensive guide from the owners gave us recommendations for everything from places to visit to places to eat and more. Oak Island is not a very touristy town but there is plenty to do within a short drive. We visited the raptor center and the aquarium and spent time in Southport. We loved the ferry ride from Southport to explore new beaches. The Oak Island beach was beautiful, perfect for shelling and spending the whole day. The locals were helpful and friendly and everything we needed was available just blocks from the beach. Communication with the owners was timely and helpful. They set a high bar for other rental experiences! Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Great House in Friendly Neighborhood

This house was awesome! We loved the short walk to the beach, as well as exploring shops and restaurants around Oak Island. The property manager was easy to contact and very helpful. The house was very clean, and we especially loved the hot tub and backyard seating. We would definitely go back!

We raised our 5 kids in Colorado and while we love going up into the mountains, we also enjoyed our trips across the country to the Carolina beaches. We have a growing family with a couple marriages and one grandson. We still live in Colorado but we look forward to having family get-togethers at the beach.

We visited Oak Island years ago and loved how peaceful it felt. When one of our sons moved nearby, we decided it would be great to find a home where we could have family vacations while also allowing other families to enjoy it. We immediately fell in love with home's curb appeal, and after updating the interior, feel like it is a tranquil space to kick back and relax. We hope you feel that too.
