Mini Mansion with Pool, Hot Tub, Decking Overlooking Pond & Games

"Chateau Hiddenwood," is a grande mansion sized house is located on 4-acres, surrounded by tall trees, to offer a secluded and relaxing feeling just 30 minutes from the city and 10 minutes from all Waxahachie has to offer. It is 4,500 sq ft with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms + comes loaded with a resort style pool + hot tub, game rooms, gourmet kitchen, premium sound system, fire pit, string lights, and entertainment deck around the pond.

WE DO NOT ALLOW PARTIES OR MORE THAN 16 GUESTS (daytime or night time), UNLESS prior approval, additional deposits and staff on-site for event time.

We do allow for weddings, with an additional fee and prior written approval. We provide all the tables/chairs + ceremony backdrops.

The house overlooks a large resort style private swimming pool & hot tub, plus a beautiful pond. The pool has an outdoor bar and grilling area. The pond has decking which can be used for outdoor dining or just enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. There are sono speakers for sound throughout the property.

There is an outdoor fire pit with Adirondack chairs to cozy next to the fire. We provide lots of games from outdoor games like cornhole and washers to the +20 board games up in the billiard room with the pool table. Plus a bonus game room in the garage loaded with an air hockey table, ping pong & skee ball!

There is a gourmet kitchen with an open concept loaded with a built in wok, commercial sized refrigerators, built-in griddle, and multiple ranges, dishwashers and ovens.

This home offers the perfect balance between indoor and outdoor spaces, to enjoy an unforgettable time together. Ask about our private chef and masseuse, available to come to the house, to really make your experience one for the books!

Dream wedding venue

My husband and I chose this venue for our wedding! Our family and friends were able to stay overnight and we had the most beautiful wedding and had the place for the entire weekend, which made the event even more beautiful so we could savor the gorgeous property and amenities!

Perfect little getaway!

I hosted my son’s first birthday here. The host was very attentive & answered every question I had. They have everything you need in this house for your stay. The kids loved the pool & game room that’s located in the garage. It was definitely a perfect place to stay. Thank you again for having us!

Wedding Rehearsal Dream Stay!

This secluded home was an excellent property for the wedding rehearsal of our son and newest daughter! The amenities were fantastic and the owner was wonderful to work with! There were a few minor details to overcome, but it all worked out nicely. We plan to use this rental again for a relaxing vacay!

Family Holiday Get Together

This was our second stay at Chateau Hiddewood and it did not disappoint. Property has plenty of room for our large family to spread out comfortably. The spacious kitchen provided ample space for everyone to help prepare our family meals. Such a beautiful property!

Texas Tree climbing competition

We had a huge group come out for the Texas tree climbing championship and thia house was perfect for feeding 40 people. The back yard as well as the home and neighborhood are gorgeous. We will absolutely be back!

pool was dirty on arrival but owner had a pool service there by next morning, thank you, there was a lot of leaves and debris on the patios that could use some leaf blower attention, the gas grill needs some maintenance, there was plenty of space for all and the large kitchen was a definite plus

Picturesque Micro-Wedding Venue

Such a gorgeous home and property! We are so blessed to have celebrated our love in such a beautiful place. Taylor was so helpful and easy to communicate with, the house was immaculate and we loved hosting our out-of-town guests there as well. It made everything so much easier to provide a place for them to stay as well! Truly could not be happier with our stay, the chateau will always be a very special place for us!

Family under one roof

Wonderful time was had by all!! Plenty of things to do yet places to find solitude or just sit around and catch up. Many thanks to our host who allowed us a late booking on a holiday with the family the size of our family we had two families come in from other states and one from overseas as well as for children that live local they were able to be with us in the daytime And yet not spend the night it was a perfect time for us. Just wish it could’ve been longer.

Staycation Worthy!

We rented this beautiful home for a family staycation. We live nearby but wanted a large space for my daughter to have a gathering with close friends and family to celebrate her 16th birthday and swim in a pool. The house was a great space; the kitchen and outdoor area were the perfect areas to gather and visit. The pool was a great size for adults and small children to swim. The trees around the pool were nice once the sun started to go down, as they provided some shade, and though the crepe myrtles are pretty in bloom, it is unfortunate that the blooms all end up in the pool. For those who consider staying here, be cautious of the septic system. If you do not live outside of city limits, septic systems are very sensitive and something to consider if hosting a large group. The one issue we did have resulted in the property owners promptly coming out to address it, so that was nice. We would definitely rent this space again for a home away-from-home staycation!

beautiful property but poorly maintained

This was a beautiful property with a great swimming pool and outdoor seating area. It was great for a large dinner gathering with plenty of seating in the house. It has a good-sized washer and dryer that worked well and plenty of towels and linens. We loved the fridge and freezer space, and the spacious kitchen island and the dual dish washers. Every shower had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There was plenty of hot water. We had a good experience interacting with the host who was very responsive to a couple issues that we came across and addressed a problem with the AC very promptly. With all of that being said, we thought that the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the property could be improved - there were a lot of insects in and around the house, and numerous wasps nests we had to spray before we could let the children outside. Also, making guests aware that they cannot enjoy the outdoor areas without significant mosquito deterrents would be nice (we assume the stagnant pond contributes to the insane amount of mosquitos). The pool furniture needed a power washing. We had some issues with the grill and smoke getting into the house through closed windows. The lack of organization in the kitchen drawers and cupboards was also frustrating, it seemed that a lot of what was there was left over from previous guests. With the cost of the property we had high expectations, if these things had been better maintained they would have made our stay that much more enjoyable.

Micro Wedding

Our overall stay went well. I do feel like the property could have been more thoroughly cleaned. I primarily am giving this a lower rating because I felt like the communication with the property manager was poor. I had no idea that this was a micro wedding venue with its own site and booking process. Therefore, I found it on VRBO and booked it with approval for our small wedding. After booking and scheduling a tour, I felt like we were treated as less than by the property manager due to booking a “standard stay” through VRBO and not through them directly. I considered canceling the VRBO booking and going directly through them for an additional charge however, after the way we were talked to and treated during the tour, I preferred to take on the task of set up and break down with no extras. Money wasn’t a barrier for us but I wasn’t comfortable paying more after being treated the way we were. I requested an additional tour and was told there was a limit of one to limit travel… for them (I can’t imagine that’s normal for a wedding venue). Final fee of additional guests wasn’t added until days before the wedding and wasn’t communicated to me as to when I’d see that fee so I felt like it was dumped on us days before our wedding. They were kind enough to let us check in early but after everything else, my perception hadn’t changed much. Very rude and unprofessional in my opinion. Had I had more time to plan my wedding, I probably would have picked an alternate location.

Beautiful property for our Wedding!

Beautiful home located in a remote neighborhood outside Waxahachie. We had a small wedding here in the evening and the setting was stunning. The dock, firepit, and other outdoor areas made for wonderful gathering spots and great pics! The house is very nice, with multiple areas suitable to dine and hang-out. The only downsides we noticed were a lack of TVs in the bedrooms and the master closet did not allow for hanging anything longer than a shirt. We'd return to this property for family gatherings in the future!

Work Outing 2022

The property was great and was perfect for our work outing. Plenty of room for everyone coming from out of the area. Was able to set up an inflatable obstacle course as well as the inflatable Sumo Wrestling course. Highly recommend the Chef!! Food and service was excellent!!

Our property is a secluded but easy to access on 4 acres, located in a cul de sac which offers privacy. There is a circle driveway at the front of the house, plus an additional driveway leading to the 3 car garage (parking not available in garage). There is parking for up to 10 cars in both driveways. NO PARKING ON STREET.

This home is located in Waxahachie, TX which as a lot to offer. There is a cute downtown square with extensive antique shops and boutiques, breweries, a winery, dining and often local events. We love to provide local recommendations for you!
