Wonderful house on sandy beach, sports lake close to golf, bike/snowmobile trail

This two-story lake house has a large high ceiling living room with 3 comfy recliner chairs and recliner couch facing a gas fireplace below a 55-inch tv. Large dining room table plus a large picnic table on the deck overlooking Heart Lake.
Heart Lake is about 63 acres with a maximum depth of 123 feet. It holds a healthy population of rainbow trout, bass, northern pike and perch. It is an all sports lake with a no wake from 7:30 pm until 11:30 am. It has a public launch.
The house is located just over one tenth of a mile from snowmobile trail 7 which is one of the main trails that connect with hundreds of miles of other trails.

Our second visit to this perfect vacation spot. Super clean and well appointed. The beach area is definitely the star of the show. Sandy beach area and crystal clear water just steps from the cottage. We swam and built sand castles every day. Saw a good variety of wildlife too…fish, loons, chipmunks and squirrels, tiny toads and a flyover by a beautiful bald eagle. Easy trip to town to stock up on groceries for our week.

Awesome time on Heart Lake

We had a wonderful family vacation on Heart Lake. It’s easy to get to, close to Gaylord and yet we were able to fully disconnect from distractions and just be present together. We fished, we swam, we hung out on the beach, we read books, we explored. It was perfect.The boat access was great and the lake was small enough that even on busy days it was still pretty quiet. The kids loved the beach. They also caught a ton of fish. The adults loved that the house was so close to the water. The house itself is quite nice. Plenty of room. Beautiful views. And the hosts were generous in providing most of what we needed. There was also plenty of room for two cars and a boat trailer. The only minor gripe was the owner’s pontoon was tied up to the dock and it kind of blocked our view of the kids jumping off the dock. Super minor first world problem. Everything else was perfect. We usually pick a new house each summer but we are already talking about returning. Loved it.

Wonderful!

The property is super cute. Love the walkway to the house with all the flowers and decorations. The lake is beautiful. Perfect views from the house and deck. Very nice firepit and seating. The house was clean and cozy. Much bigger than we expected. Pictures dont do this place justice. We had 8 people and never felt crowded. Plenty of seating in the living room. Cozy pillows and blankets available with a nice big tv. It came in handy for the one rainy day we had. Everything was perfect! We plan on staying again. Thank you Gail!

Perfect Getaway on a quiet lake

Seven of us had an amazing time. The beachfront and lake were perfect. The kayaks and paddleboards a plus! A big dining room table was great for playing games, the kitchen was spacious.

Family Vacation

This is a beautiful home on a peaceful lake, we enjoyed total relaxation, listening to the sound of the calling loon was amazing! The home provides every comfort needed for a perfect summer family vacation! Sunny beach, shaded deck, firepit, kayaks and paddle boards. After a day of play on the beach, sleeping accommodations were very comfortable. Two bathrooms make it extremely convenient; plenty of room for everyone around the large kitchen table and relaxing in lazy boys for a movie at night. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Far exceeded my expectations!

Amazing property! The cottage was SUPER clean and had everything we needed to set up home for a week. All of the modern appliances & washer/dryer to make things easy. It was decorated in classic cottage with a beautiful mix of vintage pieces and modern comfortable. Lovely quilts decorated the walls along with family photos. Very homey. Close to town to grab our groceries and to visit The Call of the Wild on our 1 raining morning to see the "wildlife" and of course buy some fudge. Thank goodness for the AC since our week was HOT Beds were plentiful and very comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. Lots of clean towels in both bathrooms. Livingroom has lots of comfy seating and fantastic views of the lake and also the giant TV for evenings in. The star of the show was definitely the lake and beautiful sandy beach. My special needs adult daughter was easily able to navigate to the beach area and the gentle slope into the water made swimming/floating easy. The water was crystal clear and warm (but cool enough to be refreshing.) She also enjoyed building sandcastles in the clean sand. We were on the beach and in the water every single day. We watched a loon right along shore daily (who made sure the geese stayed away,) lots of tiny toads, a speedy bunny, a heron (?,) and on our last day saw an eagle grab a snack right out of the lake. Check out was easy with clear instructions but of course it came way too soon. We are already planning our return trip next year.

Lots of amenities & well stocked

A very clean and well stocked house on a nice lake! We had a wonderful stay- there's lots of room in the house, a spacious yard front & back, sandy beach, paddle boards, kayaks & a rowboat. The house had everything we needed to cook a few meals and the house is in a great location- Gaylord is close by with grocery stores and restaurants and there's lots of golf courses close by. We really enjoyed our stay!

Snowmobile Trip

A great getaway on Heart Lake!

My family, and I loved the week we spent at Gail's place on Heart Lake. The house itself is great, very comfortable for all of us. Every amenity you might need was taken care of, and everything was exceptionally clean and tidy. Outside we enjoyed the deck overlooking the lake, and the beach. When the weather cooperated we swam, and paddle boarded (or attempted to... More falling then actual paddling haha). Overall we totally recommend staying here. The house is great, the lake is great, and Gail was awesome to work with. Hopefully we'll be back!

Great vacation

This was the finest vrbo property we have ever rented. It is spacious, well appointed, and has a beautiful view of Heart Lake. The waterfront is perfect for all activities. The hosts could not have been nicer and answered our every question and need. In fact, my family is already pressuring me to rent this property for next summer.
