Beautifully renovated family & fisherman's paradise on water- Fish, beach, crab

My mother and sister, Lucy, stayed at this VRBO home with our family in July 2021. We enjoyed the tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the more crowded beach towns. We loved the house so much, that we asked the owner to let us know if he ever wanted to sell. He did, and the rest is history! We are happy to now own this vacation home and look forward to sharing it with you.

The Salty Cactus is a light and bright luxurious home located in Sargent, Texas, with world-class fishing right off the dock in the backyard. We absolutely love the area and the people, true Texas hospitality in this small, peaceful town. The home is the perfect retreat, featuring top of the line beds and linens, unbelievable views up and down Caney Creek, and a big yard and patio for family and friends to gather. Watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee or sunset with your favorite beverage. Pull your boat up to the private dock or simply cast off our pier. Fishing and crabbing are great directly off the dock. The beach is only a few miles away, and you can park on the beach which avoids the hassle of hauling all your beach items a long distance. My kids enjoy hunting for seashells, playing in the waves/sand, soaking in the stunning views. We enjoy the great fishing and a peaceful beach experience that is rarely crowded.

Our home comes with everything you need for a successful and stress-free vacation. It is fully stocked with towels, linens, kitchen ware, basic spices and small appliances. We have three bedrooms and two full baths with beds for 10 adults, or 10 adults and 1 child, with plenty of space to put air mattresses or a portable crib (both not included). There's also a sofa sleeper in the living room with a smart TV and board games for both kids and adults to enjoy. In fact, there's smart TVs in every bedroom but you won't use them because you will rather be in our oversized enclosed patio enjoying the salty air. The patio has a gate to keep the little ones inside, and there's a baby gate if needed for inside the home. The outdoor living area is where everyone wants to be!
