Surrounded by huge 100 year old oaks and scenic wildlife, the Salt Creek is a well appointed get away. If you want to experience world class fishing and also have resort level accommodations then this is the place for you.
We fell in love with Sargent in 2020 and bought the Salt Creek in early 2022. After almost a year of renovations we are ready to share our family retreat.
We love to get away and relax. We love the people and atmosphere in Sargent and hope you will too.

Location is nice, as it’s right on the creek with beautiful oak trees. The furniture was badly stained as well as the linens. Overall it was in need of a through cleaning. We did not feel comfortable on the furniture and actually left a day early. The photos in the VRBO listing are from awhile ago.

I am just seeing this review. I am so sorry that the house was in that condition. I haven't been there in a while and I havent had that feedback before so I will address it immediately. I wish I would have known at the time and I would have had it handle then. I am always appreciate feedback and will make sure this is taken care of.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean and very spacious! My guys loved the fishing, the dock was great and covered for the few times it sprinkled while we were there! I highly recommend this home if you're staying in Sargent!

Great location for a getaway. We went fishing in Matagorda and ate at the restaurants in Sargent, Lake Jackson, and Bay City. Too little time to take advantage of all of the amenities. Thanks Gavin and Sarah for sharing this slice of Heaven with everyone!

Comfortable

My brother has a house on the next street down, so we spent most of our time there with family. We basically just needed the house for a place to sleep and shower. The house is in a great location. It was clean and comfortable. The beds were excellent. It had everything we needed and more. Contacted the owner twice and he responded immediately both times. We will definitely consider staying again in the future.

The home was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable, home fully stocked, backyard was the best relaxing, enjoyable & beautiful. Loved our stay . The owner was one point . Spacious home on the creek

What a great spacious house that had everything you could want! The house was super clean with a wonderful master bedroom and bath! Love the farmhouse kitchen sink too in the kitchen! The deck on the creek was so big, and the tree s were amazing and provided alot of shades. Such a great time!

Peaceful getaway

This is our second year staying here. It is always a wondwrdul getaway . Gavin , communicates very well and within 10 minutes. We stayed during alberto storm not a direct hit. Had some minor creek high tides. House is very nice and clean. Spacious, everything you need for your trip.
