Luxury Penthouse located in the heart of Yankton.

Plenty of restoration and updating has recently gone into this 1930s building that was previously operated as a furniture store. With 7500 square feet of spacious accommodations, you and your guests can comfortably spread out with this open floor plan. This home features 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, huge commercial-style kitchen, ample seating in the dining area, large living room with game tables, exercise area, sauna, jetted tub, and wonderful views of downtown and the Meridian Bridge. Guests will also have access to the turfed rooftop backyard which has a hot tub and grill! Please no pets or smoking while visiting our home. (Owners do live in this home when it is not rented).

Enjoy your stay in Yankton while exploring the ever-growing Meridian District in historic downtown. Located above the Meridian Venue, you are just a short walk away from boutique shopping, salons, cozy coffee shops and bakeries, great restaurants and bars/breweries, Dakota Theater, farmer’s market (spring/summer), and the famous Missouri River with parks and walking trails/bridge.

Great space

A great open space with lots of activities to do on site if you do not have other places to go. Kitchen was amazing with industrial refrigerators and stove. Made cooking for our large group easy. Patio with hottub and artificial turf made for a fun place to cook and let kids play.

Great space and toys

My extended family ranging from ages 3 to 95 met for an early thanksgiving. Lots of toys, games and space to play outside kept the kids entertained. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our big dinner. The owners were very responsive and accommodating! The noise from the bars bothered some but a white noise machine did the trick. You have to walk through storage rooms but once you enter the penthouse, it exceeded expectations!

We were totally unfamiliar with Yankton but knew about Lewis and Clark Lake. Since we liked boating, we decided to try it out as it was convenient to where all of our children now reside. What a great choice! And this VRBO was a stellar find. As advertised, it is in the the "heart" of downtown and convenient to everywhere we went. "Spacious" does not even begin to describe this penthouse. Restaurant quality appliances in the kitchen were a joy to use and the Sonos sound system was easy to figure out and in constant use. The elevator was a little tricky, but easy to operate once you got the hang of it. The shuffleboard and pool tables were fun as well. But the town was also a star. Our hosts operate several venues for gatherings and live music. The Copper Room was a favorite as it was elegantly appointed and felt like we were watching live music in our living room. Great concept! We then enjoyed Karaoke at O'Malley's across the street. We also attended the Scotland Rodeo and had a great time as rodeo attendance was new to us. If you have a family needing 5 bedrooms for a low key togetherness vacation this VRBO and Yankton are the spot!

A Perfect Stay in Yankton, SD

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this home in Yankton, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by spaciousness, comfort, and stunning views. Here's why we loved it: 1. Generous Space: The space provided ample room for our family to spread out. The open floor plan allowed us to enjoy each other's company without feeling cramped. 2. Chic Interiors: The commercial-style kitchen was a dream, and the dining area accommodated our entire clan. The living room, complete with game tables, was a hit with both kids and adults. 3. Relaxation Galore: While the weather got in our way, the sauna and jetted tub were inviting! The views of downtown and the Meridian Bridge were simply breathtaking. 4. Prime Location: Being above the Meridian Venue meant we were steps away from boutique shopping, cozy coffee shops, bakeries, and fantastic restaurants. The Missouri River and its scenic walking trails were also within easy reach. We would say that it was a bit loud Friday night, however. 5. Impeccable Hosts: Communication from the hosts were timely and detail-oriented. They ensured our stay was seamless and their attention to detail and responsiveness made us feel right at home. Whether you’re a family, a group of friends, or a couple seeking a memorable getaway, this place ticks all the boxes.

Great location for family fishing trip

After 20 years my family returned to Yankton for a fishing trip. The location was perfect to get to the dam early and return to relax and go to the local bars and restaurants. Plenty of room and activities for all that stayed.

Amazing family getaway

We booked the spacious penthouse for our family getaway in Yankton, and it did not disappoint! The property is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. Our two grown sons & their wives, along with one baby, my husband and I, and his parents had plenty of private space and even our own bathrooms. The location is perfect - close to shops, bars & restaurants, and the riverfront with plenty of walking trails. We always had plenty to do with all of the games, game tables, and rooftop space with hot tub. The host was quick to communicate and so friendly! We feel incredibly blessed to have had access to such a beautiful space for our family memories. Thank you!!

Family Fun!

This property is everything you need! With a downtown location, it is easy to get anywhere and there was lots of fun within walking distance! We came with little kids (ages 1-7) and there was lots to do. Within walking distance from a fun ice cream shop, toy stores, pet store and park there is so much for the kids close by. The water park is further up the street so you’ll want to drive, but it’s on the very same road. That is of course if you can get anyone out of the penthouse in the first place. We frequently played tball and catch on the rooftop, and had dance parties to the sound system inside. Of course the games were a definite hit too! With several different rooms, most with private bathrooms, each piece of our extended family could each have their own space for their own time. Which with little kids, that’s perfect for nap times! The big tub is perfect for bathing lots of littles after fun in the hot tub. It’s impossible to see the great amount of space you’ll have in the photos. The kids quite literally were playing sharks and minnows and running sprints inside! The kitchen and grill are wonderful, and so much space for lots of family. This space has all you’ll need and the hosts were so gracious. Definitely a space the whole family wants to come back and visit again!

Great place for a long weekend getaway!

The place was a great location being right downtown and very close to our family wedding venue. You are a close walk to the river. There was lots to do for the adults in the house and lots of space to gather. The bedrooms and bathrooms were private and plentiful! The owners were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I would definitely stay here again!
