Once you exit I-5, this unit is two minutes away, making for an easy end to your drive. Located in the heart of Rogue River, the Black Pearl is within walking distance of local restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques. Start your mornings grabbing a bite to eat at the Cottage Café and Grille across the street or enjoying the scenery of the Rogue River as you sip on your coffee. The neighborhood is a quick 15 minutes to Grants Pass and 20 minutes to Medford. You can also make an easy day trip to Ashland to enjoy its assortments of wineries and the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. For nature enthusiasts, the City of Rogue River offers many outdoor recreational activities, such as rafting, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. You're in close proximity to many natural marvels, like Crater Lake National Park and the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. If you're here for winter activities, the Rogue River is adjacent to Mount Ashland where you can ski and snowboard on fresh powder.

The rental was a great space for our family of 5. The location was perfect, parking was easy. Everything was clean and there were great supplies and resources. We would definitely say again! Great Place to Stay and Relax on Vacation!

The apartment was centrally located in the the town of Rogue River making it an ideal location to explore The Redwoods during the day with the kids and a nice place to return to after a long day with the comforts of home. Will stay here again in the future!

Nice getaway

We stayed here for a weekend getaway. The place was very nice having all the amenities and accoutrements we needed and more. If we visit the Rogue valley again I would be happy to stay here again.

Weekend getaway

We were visiting family close by for the weekend. The Black Pearl was just perfect. Lots of space, comfy beds. We had several options for food and coffee all within walking distance. We would stay here again

Perfect for Our Girls Weekend

Loved staying here for our weekend rafting down the rogue. Better than we expected, so cute and spacious! Walked next door for coffee and downtown for dinner and drinks. Location was excellent. Super clean, new feeling, comfortable and exceptionally decorated. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.

Far Better Than Any Hotel Room!!!

I have driven by the "I Love Lucy" building dozens of times, but I had no idea it contained this amazing two-bedroom apartment. The apartment is spacious, clean, and fully stocked with everything you'd ever need. The beds are as comfortable as any 5-star hotel. It felt like a home. There is no need to stay in a nearby hotel room when you can stay here. We absolutely loved it.

Happy accident

Vrbo double booked our original site. Wendy ever so thoroughly let us stay at the River Retreat. Tiny, but mighty would be a great way to explain this little gem. It’s beautifully appointed with so many, smart and clever ideas. Though we were 4 it met all of our needs …in style!

Déjà vu

“Nick’s Quality Market” this was my father’s store and our home growing up in Rogue River. We called him Papa (French for Dad) as Mom was from French speaking Switzerland. So many memories here! It was great learn the upstairs of our former home is now a VRBO. The renovations are wonderful. We had everything we could have possibly needed for an even longer stay. Thank you Ryan, for the tour of our old abode and what use to be the store and butcher shop downstairs. So many memories here. Wendi my Papa would be thrilled to see this today. He was a visionary with more aspirations than means in the day. You have done an impressive restoration. So happy to see someone has been able to do so much with this building. Lovely place right in town

Very nice place. There were 3 security doors though to get to the actual apartment (one too many for me). The directions to enter the actual unit were inaccurate. You have to press the lock button at the top and not an asterisk. The garbage in the bathroom had not been emptied and the coffee pot was dirty.
