Hoboken Brand New 4 Beds 3 full baths

Known as the birthplace of Frank Sinatra and Baseball, the waterfront city of Hoboken has a charm of its own and it an absolute must visit on your NYC trip! It's also the perfect place for those travel with family and groups and looking for space. Our home offers 4 huge rooms and 3 full baths. One of the room is located on the first floor and the other 3 are on the second floor. We have both front and back yards.

We are located at a very quiet residential neighborhood. Parking are free for 4 hours around the house. If you want overnight parking you should park your car by the Rail on the Ninth Street Station. There are plenty of overnight parking. You can drop everyone off at the house then go park 2 blocks away.

Our house is newly renovated in the year of 2020, through out the house there are many windows with arrays of sunlight.

Outside is your private front/backyard - -perfect for summer BBQ with family.

Our first floor requires climbing stairs so it's not a good fit for groups with elderly.

This is a residential and family friendly area. The neighbors tends to have parties that are rather muted. We ask that you please respect this and keep from loud chatter and laughing when outdoors. Parties are prohibited under all circumstances - if neighbors complain, you will be ask to leave immediately.

Not what I expected

Upon my arrival to the property, the front yard and porch did not give a welcoming feeling. The grass was overgrown and the entrance to the basement had mold all over it. The inside of the residence ( bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen ) were clean. We were a little bothered with the “fully stocked” kitchen. All the pots / frying pans were stored in the oven. There was only one small pot that was worth heating up water in. The other pots appeared to have been purchased at a flea market. The back yard was really overgrown as well. Let me be clear, it’s one thing to have missed a grass cutting appointment, but this was far from that. That back yard looks like it was not cut in months. I felt uncomfortable taken my dog out there. The weeds in the back yard covers 1/2 of the back steps. Disappointed!! Pictures on VRBO need to be updated. For starters, every room in the house has a window A/C. The pics on VRBO only show the kitchen with a window A/C. Also, the first picture of of the living room, with the curtains fully open and the sun shining bright inside….is a false impression. That picture must have been taken when the house was first built in the 60’s. Let’s revisit the mold in the basement…growing on the walls and the basement back door, UNHEALTHY!!The host can do better. Future house guests, compare my pictures to the ones the host has posted to compare for yourself. Beware!!

auf keinen Fall "brand new" und Preis-Leistung nicht ok

Die Lage war sehr gut, Bushaltestelle vor der Türe und relativ ruhig gelegen. Die Wohnung war sehr gross mit 4 Doppelzimmer. Die Betten waren angenehm hart und der Bezug roch frisch. Die Wohnung war jedoch viel älter als auf den Bildern und abgewohnt (Küche). Wifi war ok, TV wurde nicht getestet. Den Türcode bekamen wir bereits Monate zuvor, vermutlich wird er nie gewechselt. Es fehlte in allen Zimmern an Ablageflächen. Es gab weder Garderobe, noch Schränke um Kleider zu verstauen, man musste aus dem Koffer leben. Für 2 Nächte ok, aber für eine Woche mühsam. Unter das Bett schaute man besser nicht. Auch im Bad waren keine Haken bzw Ablagefläche vorhanden. Nur 1 Handtuch pro Gast, welches man nicht aufhängen konnte. Die Küche war eklig und unhygienisch. Das Geschirr musste erst abgewaschen werden. Es waren unendlich viele kleine Pfannen und Töpfe, jedoch kein einziger nutzbarer Topf (alle massiv zerkratzt) Ich würde an dieser Stelle gerne Fotos beifügen. Ausser dem Frühstück konnten wir keine Mahlzeiten zubereiten, weil alles sehr schmutzig und abgenutzt war. Es gab auch keine Wasser-Gläser, nur Jumbo-Tassen und Plastikbecher. Kleine Löffel gab es nicht, zum Kaffee oder Joghurt nur Suppenlöffel. Der Backofen war sehr schmutzig. In der ersten Nacht wurden wir um 3 Uhr geweckt von der Sirene des Rauchmelders, bei welchem die Batterie schwach war (blinkte bereits beim Einzug, Vermieter wusste davon, Reinigungskraft vergass dies jedoch zu wechseln). Viel zu überteuert!

2nd time’s a charm

This was our second time staying at this residence and it did not disappoint. The home is spacious and has all of the household appliances and amenities needed. Be mindful of parking and noise levels when booking this space as street parking is limited and there’sone neighbor who will complain if you’re playing music or talking too loudly. Great place overall and will definitely book again in the future.

Great Stay

The property was as pictured. The home is spacious and having 3 bathrooms was definitely a plus. The check-in process was easy and the owner was responsive to any messages. There is 4-hour street parking, but we opted to park in a garage a few minutes away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Do Not Stay Here

As many other reviews stated, it was very hard to get into the house. The host did not answer their phone but thankfully, the neighbor came to our rescue. The neighbor was able to get in contact with someone (not the number I was given). The neighbor is a nice man but it is a bit unsettling that he has access to the house via lock box at all times if he so chooses. Not to mention the security issue resulting from the actual key that was missing. On top of the terrible communication and waiting outside for 45 minutes, there is visible mold from water damage on the wall in one of the bedrooms which seems like it should be some sort of VRBO violation. The furniture is cheap and uncomfortable, and some of it had disgusting stains. Do not stay here.

-La propreté de la résidence laisse à désirer. Il y avait beaucoup de poussière, les douches n'étaient pas lavées, il y a avait des graines sur la table et le plancher n'avait pas été lavé non plus. -Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, nous n'avions pas le bon code pour entrer à l'intérieur et il a été difficile de rejoindre l'hôte. -Plusieurs équipements manquaient dans la cuisine; linge à vaisselle, essuie-main, mitaine de four, ouvre boîte et il n'y avait pas suffisamment d'ustensiles pour les 8 personnes. -Le propriétaire nous avait dit qu'il était assez facile de se trouver du stationnement, mais le stationnement le plus près est à 45 minutes de marche environ.

Great Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Communication with the host was excellent - she responded immediately via the VRBO app and texting. The house was very clean with plenty of room for our family. It seems the check in process should be updated as the instructions indicated a key to get in, but upon arriving, the door had an electronic key pad with a code, but the host responded promptly when I reached out about it. My only recommendation for the host would be to have paper towels in the kitchen, hand towels for the bathrooms, and ensure there is enough hand soap in the bathrooms and kitchen - we did have to purchase paper towels and hand soap on our own, and couldn't find dishwasher detergent but other than that, it was a really great stay and I would recommend!

Goed verblijf in Jersey

Bij aankomst bleek er geen sleutel aanwezig te zijn op de afgesproken plaats. Na ongeveer een uur zoeken hebben wij contact gekregen met de verhuurder. Deze heeft ons de code van het cijferslot gegeven waarmee we de woning binnen konden komen. Bij binnenkomst bleek de woning niet heel goed gereinigd te zijn. Tevens was de vaatwasser niet leeggehaald. Tijdens de eerste nacht bleken de gebruikte bedden niet heel goed meer in elkaar te zitten. Het ene bed hing nog met een paar schroeven in elkaar. Bij het 2e bed was de ondersteuning niet goed, wat we zelf hebben kunnen verhelpen. Na de 1e ergernissen hebben wij een goed verblijf gehad. De verbinding door middel van de lightrail was uitstekend.

Renter Beware

Immediately upon entry of the property, my wife, four young kids, and I found a used condom on the floor, along with large, disgusting, wet stains all over the sofas in the main room. The staircase was refurbished by an amateur and the slats are too far apart, making for an enormous safety hazard — my two-year-old daughter would have fallen through the railing if we had not caught her and pulled her back. The mattresses on the beds are made of the cheapest material money can buy and have covers on them that make loud crunching noises every time you move. The front bedroom windows are so thin that it's as if the street noise outside is actually magnified as it enters the room. We pulled into the property very late at night. The instructions I received told me to find a key under the trash can. There were four trash cans. After ten minutes of rummaging through dirt and bugs, I called the owner, who told me the key was in the mailbox. It would have been nice to know that beforehand. I immediately found a used condom in the first floor bathroom. Then I started looking at the furniture -- there were several big, wet stains on the couches. My immediate thought was, "what's going on here?" That night, I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning, booking a different hotel room so we could get out of there the next day, even though we had booked four nights. We were definitely not going to stay there another night. Parking at the property is limited to four hours only. Long-term parking is 0.7 miles away. The owner will tell you that there is long-term parking at the train station nearby. There is not. Per her texts to me, she doesn't live near this property and doesn't know the area. I reached out to the owner to let her know about the used condom and deplorable conditions, including photos. Her response was, and I quote: "Where do u find the condom?" When I told her, she responded, "We have been checked the house after cleaning. We didn’t see any condoms as per you. We have videos of the house after cleaning." I spent a considerable amount of money renting a hotel room for the next three nights of our family vacation. The owner refused to give me any sort of refund — I only asked for half my money back even though we only stayed for 25% of the reservation. I finally contacted someone at VRBO who provided me with a full refund, but the host made this process way too difficult, refusing to issue me a refund on multiple occasions.

Fell short of expectations

The home was good and had a lot of space inside, which was well-kept. Here are some places where it fell short: 1. When we came in, there was a big garbage dump outside the that wasn't emptied. Lot of stench. 2. There was two different messages sent by the property owner. The first said that we need to pick up the keys from under the stinky garbage can. The second message said that we need to pick it up from the mail box. We were confused and finally found the keys in the mail box. 3. Parking was a HUGE issue and permit is required to park our car beyond the 4-hour limit. This wasn't mentioned at all anywhere and ideally the owner should be sharing this transparently before the tenants check in. We had lots of trouble parking, and I finally had to return the rental before the planned date, because I wasn't allowed to park. 4. There were absolutely no amenities inside the kitchen - no kitchen towel, no condiments. All the dishes were still left inside the dishwasher and weren't even arranged. 5. There were no wi-fi instructions given beforehand. I had to call them several times to figure out what the wifi credentials were. ALl of this left a bad taste for us. Other than the spaciousness of the house, there was nothing going for it. WE request the owner to take the feedback in their stride and work toward providing a better user experience.

Very spacious newly renovated property

This unit is very spacious for a family. We had 6 family members staying there and 2 who live in Jersey City so we could eat meals together. Kitchen table seats 8 and living area can accommodate everyone too. Bedrooms are spacious. I would recommend more amenities in kitchen like a coffee pot, wine opener, baking sheet. Supplies were scarce if you actually want/need to cook. There is a corner store 2 blocks away for some food items. Highly recommend eating at Corto restaurant which is excellent on same street. Also think keyless entry would be a good idea. Easy access to NYC and Hoboken.
