Nothing but a dreamy and superb escapade is what Sunset Cabin has to offer! This two-story home is the perfect home base to enjoy everything McCall and Payette Lake have to offer! This home is perfect for a large family or two small families vacationing together. If weather permits, gather around the firepit for a fun evening telling stories or planning your next adventures, soak in the private outdoor hot tub to treat yourself and your sore muscles to a rejuvenating time, or grill some patties and veggies using the gas grill.

Inside, the main living space is located on the first floor, where a cozy living area with vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace, and a large smart TV with Roku will be waiting for you. Feel free to stream your favorite series or movies and get ready for a fun evening at home! The fully-equipped kitchen will make cooking a breeze with all of its stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher to make things even easier. All three bedrooms are located on the first floor. The primary bedroom has access to the deck and backyard and an en suite full bath with a separate tub and steam shower. The other two guest bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Upstairs is a nice and secluded family room with two bunk beds, a TV, and a full bath.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Excellent location and Home

Very nice home. Location to town was great. Grilling outside was great and the rooms were a good size. The hot Ty and fireplace were a great way to end each evening just relaxing. Nice neighborhood. We would rent it again.

Clean, comfort, and family-friendly vacation home

I love this vacation house and its cleanliness, comfort, and family-friendly features. The house has a loft with bunk beds, a foosball table, and board games, making it perfect for kids. The backyard features a hot tub, firepit, grill, Blackstone and the house provides paddle boards and kayaks for lake activities, creating a great getaway experience for families. The internet connect was great, I worked remotely for a full day with zero interruptions. We will definitely be back!

Location was great! Please get a new hot tub!

Loved the location, house was so cozy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was an issue…they tried to get someone to service it, but it was still cold in our last night. Besides that (which is huge for us) we would stay again.

Perfect summer getaway!

Came here with my family and extended family for a few nights and had the best time! The kids loved the bunk room upstairs! The location is great and is minutes to downtown. Everything was very clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Was looking for a peaceful retreat while my partner hunted.

I loved the quiet serene setting. The home was clean and inviting. Romantic ambience. Deep bathtub and warm inviting fireplace. Totally would stay here again. I highly recommend this place.

Not great for our family trip

The houses was clean enough but the grounds were in shambles and the firepit area was overgrown and filthy. The kitchen was difficult with only 1 out of 6 outlets actually working. Made cooking for a party of 9 people difficult. For what we paid I would expect more. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend to anyone.

McCall Adventure

We had a wonderful time at the home. It was well stocked with blankets, pillows, & throws. The kitchen was also well equipped with all cooking needs. The road noise along Boydstun was loud in the morning but we knew it would be an issue upon booking.

We look forward to our next stay.

We have returned several times to the Sunset cabin and we really like the location and amenities for our family vacation. It's a rare find in McCall to have air conditioning in the really warm weeks of summer. The kitchen is large and the grill/Blackstone on the deck are great to cook for a large group. We also enjoy the hot tub on cool nights. Our only criticism is that this property has taken a fair amount of wear and tear over the past few years and now it needs some attention. The carpets were really dirty this year, the laundry room overhead light has been broken since last year, and the hot tub thermostat was not functioning properly this year. We've also found the grills dirty in the past and the tools missing to clean them. Despite all of this, we love the location and will return again in the future.

Great!

This was a great experience. We brought our foreign exchange student from Germany to stay in McCall and this was the perfect place to stay, had plenty of room to sleep for my husband, myself and my children we got to experience a fire with roasting marshmallows, and he definitely loved the hot tub.

Great home for larger groups with so many amenities.

We really enjoyed this home and its set up. We brought our 2 teens and a few of their cousins for a snowboard trip. The kitchen was well stocked far more then i expected. The loft space and large collection of board games kept them busy when we werent on the mountain. Only issues we had was i wish their were more towels. With a large group and the hot tub i felt like i was consetantly cleaning towles and a few areas needed addressing when it came to cleaning. Window seals had some bugs and the air return was heavily dusty. But know of this hendered are stay and i would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing

House maintenance is sorely neglected to the point I can't recommend it. While the interior is spotless, the outlets didn't work in all 3 bathrooms, the ice maker didn't work, nor did the light over the stove, and the light in the laundry room, so we cooked and washed by flashlight. The yard is shin high prickly weeds, you can't let the children or a dog play in it. Door coverings are torn. There are kayaks and paddle boards, which were used and appreciated. The keyless entry seldom worked, and sometimes the key didn't either. While Vacasa staff was prompt and helpful and provide a contractor who came TWICE, he couldn't fix everything during our stay. I can't recommend this house.

Every amenity you will need!

I would give this rental a 5 star review if it weren’t for the broken window and torn cloth blind we found when we first arrived. Not sure what happened before we got there, but I reported it to Vacasa and was told someone would come to the house to take a look at it, but no one ever did. The house itself was very comfortable and had everything we possibly needed for our stay including lots of entertainment from the WiFi to kayaks and paddle boards, fishing gear and the hot tub and fire pit. We used everything and had a great time! This cabin is very close to the lake and downtown McCall. We will definitely book again!

Sunset Cabin in July!

Our family could not have been more pleased with the Sunset Cabin. When we arrived we found it to be in immaculate condition. The bedrooms and linens were cozy, the furniture was great, and the TVs all worked well. The hot tub was a big hit with the family. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, allowing us to cook at home and save money. And perhaps best of all, there was A/C- something we were not counting on but were so pleased to have. The owners clearly put a lot of work into making their home a 5-star destination. It is super close to downtown McCall and all of its amenities. We look forward to returning again. :)

Disappointing

yard is neglected and unusable. House was spotless, with ample linens, beach towels, and toiletries. House maintenance is neglected- no outlets in the bathrooms worked, half the outlets in the kitchen didn't work, the ice maker didn't work, the front door lock only worked 30% of the time, the varnish is peeling off the dining room table, the laundry room light is so dim we had to use flashlights, and the light over the stove didn't work either. The house comes with kayaks and paddle boards which were used and appreciated. The two different visits from the very good contractor were unable to fix the ice maker or laundry room light. He did get the outlets working.Sara, the Vacasa contact, was friendly, prompt, and helpful, and none of this was her fault. The homeowner has to step up and address all the neglect in this house.
