Roman's Retreat is a beautiful 2 bedroom/2 story log cabin positioned just outside of Pigeon Forge, minutes away from The Parkway. From the moment you walk in, you'll feel right at home. Relax while taking in the beautiful mountain views from the private hot tub on the back deck, play a game of pool with friends in the loft, or cozy up with a blanket by the fireplace to watch a movie or play a games with the family.

Adventures await at Smoky Mountains National Park or Gatlinburg, only a short 15 minute and 20 minute drive respectively. Bypass traffic and go the scenic way to the National Park via Wears Valley and Townsend.

For those who can never completely escape the office, the cabin is equipped with free high speed 500 Mbps WiFi, which is perfect for remote work.

Simply incredible I had a great time here and will definitely make another reservation. From the beginning to the conclusion, the hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. We fell in love with this cabin as soon as we arrived, and we certainly found a pleasant small getaway spot. The cabin had every feature we could have hoped for and was stunning. The parkway was only about eight minutes away and the porches offered a lovely view. The mattresses were comfortable and immaculate, and the hot tub was fantastic. Without question a perfect score. Again, thank you so much for everything.

Absolutely wonderful!

I just want to let everyone know if you're thinking about visiting this home, you will not be disappointed. Everything was fantastic. It was very clean, all the amenities that we needed, the view was perfect, it was quiet and isolated from the craziness of the strip. We had access to restaurants and stores. This is the second time we have stayed at this vrbo and would definitely do it again.

Wedding Anniversary

We loved how everything was and the views. We did have slight hiccup with the water smelling like Sulphur for a bit but owners had the the issued resolved quickly. Overall very nice relaxing 8 days.

Family vacation!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. Cabin was very clean and family oriented! We loved how close it was to town but far enough away from the busy streets of Pigeon Forge!

Beautiful and Peaceful

Everything was perfect about this property. Very clean, absolutely beautiful. Among other properties but still felt private. We enjoyed using the hot tub. Having the washer and dryer was awesome. We didn't get to see the peacock unfortunately (we wanted to) but we did watch squirrels. Loved the beautiful hardwood floors. AC during this heat worked great as well! We hope to come back soon. Also Elizabeth keeps contact with you if you need anything and gives you great information!

A Little Piece of Heaven

This was a great experience for us. Being our first time in the Smokey Mountain area we were not familiar with the area so, after viewing several properties we choice Roman's Retreat and it was the right choice. The location was perfect. Based on the location we had easy access to all the places we wanted to see. Publix's was only a couple of miles away which had a great selection of foods that we like to eat. We had a great time setting on the upper and lower deck that has a great view of the tress and mountains in the distances while watching squirrels and redheaded woodpeckers look for food. It was so peaceful and we were able to just relax. We both agreed we'll be coming back.

A nice cabin

This is a nice cabin and would easily accommodate 4-5 adults. The space is very nice and well taken care of. The location is just a few minutes from the main drag on pigeon forge, but isolated enough you get quiet and very little traffic. The views are somewhat obscured by trees, but you do get a nice sunset view from the upper deck. Due to food allergies and enjoying cooking, we tend to cook a lot even when traveling. The cookwear was actually in good shape and the knives were actually sharp at the time of our stay - a first for us when renting a home (I generally pack knives and a pan or two as this is always a pet peeve of mine). The fridge is not full size, but was plenty big enough for a family of 3 for 4 days. The only thing I'd note is that I do not think there was cable/satellite TV (if there was we never figured it out, not a huge deal since we didn't go to the mountains to watch TV) and there were only 3 plastic wine glasses, and no other glass stemware.

Beautiful Cabin & Location

This was our second stay at this VRBO Cabin and we absolutely love it. The host is very quick to respond and helpful with any questions. The house is very cozy and beautifully decorated. The hot tub was very clean and didn't ruin our bathing suites like some of the others that we have used on other trips/locations - very properly maintained. The location is perfect - tucked away up in the mountain BUT only a 10 min drive down to grocery stores and SO MANY fun things to do with the kids.

Cabin

Great cabin. Loved that it was updated. The upstairs has a porch with rocking chairs so you can enjoy the beautiful view. It is an older cabin so the only negative is the downstairs bedroom was freezing. The hot tub did not heat like it should have so we were not able to use it. It felt more like a luke warm tub. It was a shorter stay so we did not message about it. But overall great cabin and beautiful views.

Great vacation cabin

Everything was easy and ready to go. I messaged them a few times with questions weeks in advance and they always responded quickly. Check-in was easy and everything was clean for the most part. The hot tub seemed to be a little slimy but that’s probably from the chemicals used to clean it. They were also out of chalk for the pool table sticks, and Walmart nearby didn’t have any either. VERY convenient location and overall a great experience. Would happily stay here again.

I grew up with a family tradition of visiting the Smoky Mountains every year, and it became a second home for us. Going to the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area now brings back all those precious childhood memories. Naturally after marrying my husband, it didn’t take long for him to understand my family’s love of the Smokies! The area offers the perfect combination of outdoors hiking and adventures for him, while still allowing for the great food, shopping, and entertainment that I appreciate. We now want to share that experience with our two boys: Roman (the source of our cabin’s name: Roman’s Retreat) and Holden (who is patiently waiting for “Holden’s Hideaway” to become a reality in the future!).

My husband and I were looking for the perfect place to begin creating our family memories with our boys. When we first saw this cabin, we knew it offered everything we needed and were excited to make it our own! The quality of the cabin, the fireplace, the hot tub on the deck, mountain views, and easy access to the Parkway in Pigeon Forge made it the perfect location for our family!

Roman’s Retreat has 2 levels of back decks for you to relax and drink your morning coffee before beginning your day’s adventures! It’s location is hard to beat with just a 5 min drive to Pigeon Forge, providing endless options for entertainment. When you arriving back to the cabin in the evening, it provides all the comforts of Home with its beautiful decor, flat screen HD TVs with Roku streaming devices, a pool table in the loft, and Scrabble (a family favorite!). We hope you enjoy all the amenities Roman’s Retreat has to offer and create some wonderful memories for your Family!
