Western Wow!- Spacious outdoor patios, Endless views, Heated Pool, Hot Tub, can sleep 17. Experience the old west!

⚠ PET DETAILS: We provide pet-friendly accommodations that allows up to 2 dogs. There is pet fee of $40 per dog per night and additional deposit of $200 per dog. ** Any pets MUST be pre-approved. **

⚠ POOL DETAILS: The diving pool is indeed enormous and infinity edge, therefore, it is difficult to heat. It will not heat above 80 degrees in the winter. If it is raining, it will not heat above 70 degrees. Pool propane will cost $175/day, 4 consecutive day minimum. The hot tub is a snap to heat at $45/day.

⚠ RENTER DETAILS: Minimum primary renter age is 30. $300 additional refundable deposit will be required.

What an amazing place!To begin with, our rental host was fantastic. There is a reason she has such a high rating, that is her attention to detail and commitment to costumer satisfaction.The place itself is breathtaking. We rented it for a small family gathering and it exceeded all of our expectations. The views were spectacular, and the house has a cowboy feel that really made the place fun to stay at.Plenty of room and plenty to do.A short drive to Cave Creek and all the shops and restaurants.Just an amazing location and we would highly recommend a stay there.

Perfect weekend trip

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Double D Ranch! Our group of 12 (7 adults and 5 kids) had more than enough space, and the home was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. We loved the peaceful location away from the crowds, but it was still just a short 10-minute drive to town for groceries, restaurants, and shopping. The kids spent hours in the pool, and the adults couldn’t get enough of the stunning panoramic views. It was the perfect home base for our trip, and we’d definitely stay here again!

Hard to beat the view and the area!

Had a fantastic time staying at Double D. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable beds. Communication from owner was excellent. Everyone had their own bathroom and private space which worked perfectly. Pictures and everything was accurate. We spent hours enjoying the pool and the views. Had great cooking space and grill to make some meals. It was very close to great dining and a fun tourist area of town with shops and places to go. Do hire the chef! He was very professional, polite and made awesome food! I regret not getting him back for a second night.

Beautiful view

This house is wonderful! The pool and patio are perfect and the view is amazing. I concur with other reviews- this is not a new “fancy” house but it has character. Unique decor throughout. It is comfortable, clean, plenty of towels and bedding, it has a great set up and it is close to Cave Creek. The kitchen has all the necessities, laundry room is stocked and every bedroom has their own bathroom- perfect for big groups. Lots of sleeping spaces. We had the Greek chef come for one night and the food was amazing! Nice to not have to go out and have the food cooked and kitchen cleaned up! The property manager Arlene provided all of the information we needed and was very responsive during our stay. We met the owners as well and they were very nice. Our group plans to visit this house again! The driveway is not for the faint of heart BUT you will not want to leave once you are there- it is perfect!

Lovely….Beautiful…Fun….but….

Lots of plusses….yet, disappointing, too. We DID enjoy our stay.Major challenge: no welcome information/instruction book, leading to considerable and needless amounts of time trying to figure numerous things out, like stovetop, lighting around pool/patio/grill, outdoor fireplace, lighting in MBR, TV, pool and hot tub cannot heat at same time, etc. First night had to clean a very dirty grill to cook, then discovered a clean grill out of view. Large freezer and dishwasher had operational issues. Ice melted. Meat thawed. Have never rented a place that didn’t have clear instructions and we don’t like to bother a host.

Double D Ranch Delight !

We had an amazing stay during our Thanksgiving break at the Double D Ranch We had 12 people which included family, our sons friends and others. I will begin to say the accommodations were plenty for our group. The location is amazing, quiet and views are spectacular. At night hearing the howls of the coyotes is exciting as we sat near the fire pit enjoying the serenity of the outdoors under the starlit sky. With 12 people in the house you may think you’d be stepping over one another, the layout is such that this is not the case. Each spacious room is private and in its own “ wing”. The casita offers even more privacy with its own kitchenette and patio access. Being that we frequent the area we love the accessibility of the area of hiking, biking and shopping. We will be coming back and I feel others will feel the same!

Great for large families!

We rented Double D Ranch (named for the owners whose first names start with D) so we could all stay in one place & attend my niece's wedding in Cave Creek. Number of beds AND bathrooms are GREAT. It is hard to tell by the photos exactly what is going on, so I am going to give you the info I wish I could have had when arranging rooms. The house has essentially three "wings." Wing 1 - Office with queen bed. This room is in an OPEN space - no closet or bathroom. We had room to put in a roll-away bed since the couple staying in this room both get up to go to the bathroom during the night and the bed is such that only one as access to get out. They used the extra closet in the master & the community bathroom in the living area. Master Suite. Has two closets (the person in the office used one). King Suite. Wing 2 - Two King Suites and the main laundry room. Wing 3 - Casita The first part of the casita has a queen bed similar to the one in the office. If both people need to get out to use the restroom, then one is crawling over the other. No closet - person here shared the one in the attached room. Then there is a room with a queen bed and bath. There is also a washer and dryer in the closet. The property managers were exceptionally responsive when we had some issues with the pool and hot tub. The only things we could improve upon: The carpets were trip hazards and many of the glasses were not very clean (bran everything through dishwasher and were good to go).

Spring Break

DD Ranch was a great fit for our family gathering. The overall size, amenities, quietness and remoteness of the location was perfect for us. The Manager and Owner were both very responsive to our questions upon arrival, and everything worked great. We'll be back.

View and location

Pluses - Amazing views from patio and media room. Photo's don't do them justice. You can see 4 Peaks, 30 miles away. - Property sits on 5 acres on top of a hill and provides great privacy while feeling set into the natural landscape. - Property is a great spot if you want to get away from craziness that can be Phoenix and Scottsdale. Cave Creek still has the feel of an old Western Town. Cave Creek Olive Oil has a wonderful selection of items and Brugo's pizza with unique Cefalu pizza is worth visiting. Spur Cross Conservation area is only about 10 minutes away and has a variety of trails for all ages and abilities. Access to grocery stores and a Walmart are also only 10 minutes away. - Bedrooms and family gathering areas are nicely separated. Minuses - If you are planning to go to a Spring training game or to Phoenix it is about an hour each way. - Need more comfortable chairs and less pillows on sofas. - Kitchen is poorly laid out with not enough counter space and it hard to have 2 people working in there at the same time. Dishwasher is quiet but dishes needed to be prewashed in order for them to come out clean. We selected this property because we have one party who uses an electric wheelchair. VRBO has a filter for "accessible" properties. But on closer look many were not. Here Casita, kitchen, media room and dinning room are all on one level. Casita bathroom and bedroom had required maneuver room. Needed toilet seat riser which we purchased at Walmart.

Excellent Experience in a Desert Mountain Paradise

The Double D Ranch sits atop a beautiful mountain with the most breathtaking views. The perfectly southwestern home suits the landscape and adds to the desert ambiance. The outdoor area with its kitchen, dining areas, fire places, lounges and infinity edge pool with a spa, mean that you never want to be inside. Turn off all of the lights and star gaze late into the night! We were able to identify several planets, stars, constellations, and even the milky way! The bedrooms were all large and comfortable with private closets and bathrooms. Extra conveniences that really made our stay easy... the ice maker in the bar area, pool towels and floats provided, paper towels and trash bags (it's the little things), and the dumpster in the driveway for trash. With a large crowd, the extra refrigerators really came in handy as well. We also booked an amazing Greek dinner with Liam, a private chef. He fully discussed and personalized the menu and were very accommodating with our food allergies. He prepped, cooked, served and cleaned up. The food was incredible. Everyone raved about his dinner and he and his team were so friendly. I highly recommend booking a dinner with him! Overall, this stay was wonderful. The property manager, Arlene, was very quick to respond and addressed any questions or concerns immediately. We were visiting cousins that live in Cave Creek, and will absolutely book this property again. Thank you to the owners for providing a wonderful property.

Five Star Property for large families

This is an incredible property with amazing views and a beautiful place to relax, play and enjoy family time. The property manager was super responsive and gave us great recommendations for local hikes, shopping, kid friendly experiences. Best host experience we’ve had on VRBO!

Wonderful Place

Very clean, nice property. Great views! Very accommodating property manager! The house was built in the 90s and it is very well maintained, but I would not describe it as modern. Again very clean, very well managed, and maintained and our family really enjoyed our time there.

Cave Creek

We traveled to Cave Creek for a wedding of a family member. We had 5 adults and 1 child in our group. The property was great. There is plenty of room for all. Sitting on the back pool patio in the morning with coffee was so peaceful. The views of the entire valley and surrounding mountains can't be beat. Even though the property is in the country, all conveniences of town are literally just 8-10 minutes away. I would highly recommend this property.
