Underfloor heating, open, light filled rooms and a large fenced garden: nienrausch is a single storey holiday home made of two apartments, each with its own terrace, that connect through a double sliding door to form a 105 m² house. Dogs welcome, around 600 metres to the beach.

Welcome to nienrausch
We are Johanna and Christoph, both architects, and nienrausch is our place on the Bay of Lübeck. The house sits quietly next to the bird park in Niendorf, on the edge of a moorland area, with a wooden boardwalk leading up to the door. It consists of two apartments that connect through a double sliding door, creating a 105 m² house with two terraces that can be opened up or divided as you like. Ideal for families or two couples travelling together who want shared time and a space of their own.

Open by design
Living, cooking and sleeping flow into one another, daylight comes in from several sides, and built in furniture keeps the spaces calm and uncluttered. Each apartment has its own sleeping area with a double bed, its own shower room and its own fully equipped kitchen. Two sofa beds provide room for more guests, up to four adults with children in total. As a bungalow, everything is on one level, and underfloor heating keeps your feet warm even in winter.

Garden, children and dogs
Outside you have a large garden and front garden, and each apartment has its own terrace, one covered, the other partly covered. We fenced the whole plot for our four legged guests. Dogs are very welcome at no extra charge, and the dog beach is around 600 metres away. For children there is a high chair, a travel cot and a few toys.

Location
The beach, Niendorf's fishing harbour and the pier are around 600 metres away, the bakery is even closer. Two simple bicycles are ready for you, and the Brodten cliffs, Lake Hemmelsdorf and Timmendorfer Strand are an easy bike ride away.

Good to know
Arrival from 3 pm, contactless with your personal door code, departure by 11 am. Two free parking spaces on the property. The flat rate of €160 for final cleaning and service is included in the total price. It covers bed linen, towels, utilities, bicycles, WiFi and your dogs. No deposit required. The local visitor's tax is paid in cash on departure. For children we charge a one off fee of €15 per child for bed linen and towels, also paid in cash on departure. The travel cot is free of charge, bed linen for it is available on request for €15 as well.

Surroundings
nienrausch sits quietly next to the bird park in Niendorf, the original fishing village of Timmendorfer Strand on the Bay of Lübeck. The beach, the dog beach, the fishing harbour with fresh fish straight off the boats and the pier are each around 600 metres away on foot. Nature begins right behind the house: the moorland, the bird park and, on the way to Travemünde, the Brodten cliffs with their panoramic path above the Baltic Sea. Lake Hemmelsdorf and the Timmendorfer Strand promenade are a short bike ride away. Bakery and doctor are within walking distance, the supermarket and railway station about 1.6 km away.
