Overall, we had a great stay at this property! Everything was mostly within close distance to our planned activities! The kids utilised the pool often and had a great time.

Air conditioner

The propert was nice the first day we arrived the air went out took a while to get a response. Maintenance came said it was fix 2 hours later unit went out again reported it again no one ever showed up. I feel for my inconvenience I’m requesting half of my money back.

Townhome review

Our stay was overall good since we had things planned. Upon arrival I walked around the whole unit to check for any damages so I could take pictures and show the owner. Asked for an email and he gave me one that doesn’t work and I had told him that there was dried up blood on one of the bedsheets and no concern what so ever, just a response of: the linings are washed and checked before placing. After I sent the email and told him got no response after that and then saw that it was a bad email he gave. Poor communication with property manager

Great stay

This is a lovely home for a large group. We had 8 people, adults and kids. It is very well appointed, including a pool and grill, and as a bonus a lovely water park/bar just a three minute walk away. Staff was terrific, and so was the host had a wonderful week.

The house was very nice and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. It gave us a lot of room. Disappointing that the grill did not work. Needed to shop for essentials such as toilet paper, Kleenex and seasonings. The tack strippings on the rugs were very sharp. Pool was fun for the kids.

AllAround easy. Comfortable mattresses in all the rooms. Clean. Pool very small but we didn’t need one or use it. All else good.

Wonderful experience and property

We loved that this property was handy to every Disney park and everything we needed. The home was tastefully decorated and clean, with the ideal set up for a family on the go. We had everything we needed. Check in and out was easy. On our off day the kids spent time in the amazing neighborhood pool and lazy river. They enjoyed that as much as Disney! We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice but Beware of extra Charges

The property itself was very nice and clean. Very good location. If you don't belong to a TV service, you will not be able to use any TV except in the living room. If you want to use the BBQ grill, there is a fee of 50, along with a 50 fee to heat the pool. These items should be disclosed in the listing.

Great Stay Nov 6-17

We had a great stay at this property. The location is lovely with all necessities near by. Access to the two additional pools in the community are also a great feature. Check in was simple. Some traffic scanning in and out of the community we noted on several occasions but this is more so an issue with the community I do believe. The backyard pool was nice. We opted not to heat it but found it to be quite warm. Perhaps given the warm November temperatures? Property was clean. But well loved. I think some new sheets & towels and a new Mattress topper for the king beds would go along way. As well as a few extra supplies , toilet paper , dish soap , garbage bags. All and all We would definitely stay again !

A+ loved everything about our stay

We had a wonderful stay at this super roomy, clean and well appointed rental home. Close to everywhere we wanted to go. The neighborhood pool was a great perk. We will definitely rent here again for our next Disney trip. Thank you for an awesome week!

It was …fine?

I’ve stayed at storey lake multiple times and unfortunately this was my worst stay. The property management’a communication was horrendous. Our flight landed early, we understood that we could not check in until 4 but were told we could use the amenities prior to check in but our host did not register us so we could not use any of the pools or clubhouses for over 2 hours until we could actually make contact with our host. When we got in and it was finally time to check in our host did not give us the door code or the WiFi code until 3.5 hours after our check in time and the code he did give us was wrong. There was trash left from the previous renter, the WiFi never works so don’t bother turning on the TV or connecting to it at all. They should also look into hiring a new cleaning company because it was cleaned terribly. All in all the place was “fine” it worked for us and the pool was great but I probably won’t be staying here again.

Disney and Epcot trip

Everything was great. The accommodations are perfect for our family. The pool was a nice treat after walking the parks all day. Spent half a day at the big community pool floating in the lazy river before heading home. Perfect little get away!

WAS NOT CLEAN

Story Lake is a beautiful place. THIS RENTAL IS NOT! VRBO advertisement says this is a “brand new property” and is NOT true. It states that Deconova “is devoted to serve our guest with the highest level of hosting services imaginable” and that is FALSE. The home was dirty, had an old carpet smell, one toilet seat was broken, a high chair that was staged in a closet was dirty with old food, carpet is stained, dirty floors and bed sheets were NOT clean with food crumbs and stains on the sheets and comforters upon arrival. The garbage can was filthy and the list continues. We wasted an entire day of our vacation trying to get the Deconova concierge service to agree to at least bring us clean sheets. THEY REFUSED. The concierge refused VRBO’s multiple requests after we sent emails with pictures of our complaints and spent hours on the phone trying to find some resolve. Deconova REFUSED to refund us our full 7 night stay so that we could go about our way and find something else, so we bought cleaning supplies to wash the dirty linen and properly sanitize and clean the home. We made every effort to find another home, however we chose to stay because the VRBO site was sold out in Orlando and Kissimmee. VRBO refunded us the $225 service fee as a “courtesy”.In this Covid era, it’s disturbing to know that anyone would take short cuts to properly clean rentals that charges the renter a “cleaning” fee.Its truly disgraceful, and unacceptable.We’re very disappointed in the lack of service.

Convenient and Spacious…

We were in town for Premiere (cosmetology conference). We truly enjoyed our stay. Pros: Private, screened in patio with pool Multiple, large bedrooms/bathrooms Large kitchen Plenty of dishes, silverware, cups, etc. Large dining room table Pool towels Managing company was very easy to communicate with Cons: Extremely hard beds Had to pay to use grill Pots and pans are very old and useless (had to buy our own - non-stick coating was coming off in our food) Not enough proper cooking utensils (had to buy our own) Dining room chandelier was filthy (caked in dust) Garbage behind/next to washer and dryer (chips, candy, cookie wrappers) Not enough seating in living room (states it sleeps 12, but living room only sat 4 people semi-comfortably) Overall, we did enjoy our stay. However, there are some things that need to be addressed and fixed.
