Ashland’s Whistle Stop – In the heart of the Center Of The Universe
Come and enjoy this beautifully remodeled and quaintly decorated 3-bedroom 2.5-bathroom home that will enfold you in the look and feel of the Town of Ashland. Come and enjoy the custom décor that celebrates all that Ashland has to offer, such as the Train Room, the
Randolph Macon inspired bedroom, and the Center of the Universe Billiards Room.
Located just blocks from Downtown Ashland and Randolph Macon College – choose your mode of getting around – many attractions are walkable such as the YMCA or Town Pool. If you prefer biking, there are many quiet, safe, tree-lined streets that end up at the center of town where there are many restaurants and shops. Catch a movie at the recently renovated Ashland Theater then stop in one of the local eateries for live music and a cold beverage.
Community events like street parties, fun runs, bicycle rides, Holiday parades, the Strawberry Fair and of course, the Biennial Ashland Musical Variety Show as well as Randolph Macon College sports and campus events help make Ashland a very lively, fun, and friendly place to be.
This home has everything you will need or want to unwind for a weekend away or to enjoy an extended stay for several couples or an entire family. This home sleeps 6 adults or 4 adults and 4 children.
The Space:
The open floor plan has a rec. room with a full-sized Brunswick pool table; a cozy living room; a spacious kitchen layout with lots of cabinets, counter space, a breakfast bar and a large coffee bar; the dining room has seating for at least six – the separate laundry room has a full-sized washer and dryer.
You will definitely want to dine out with so many local restaurants in walking distance, but should you need, the kitchen is fully stocked and includes an electric stove, microwave, toaster, Ninja blender, rice cooker, large refrigerator, full-sized dishwasher, electric kettle, and Keurig dual coffee maker.
The Primary bedroom features a luxurious King bed, seating area, walk-in closet, and ensuite bathroom. The Second bedroom has a “memory foam” queen bed and a full-sized closet – this bedroom shares the hall bath with the Bunk Room. The Bunk Room has two full sized beds arranged in an over/under layout.
There are 40-inch “Smart TV’s” in all bedrooms and a 50-inch “Smart TV” in the family room all with Roku streaming capabilities.
The quiet back porch is the best place for morning coffee as well as for enjoying cool summer breezes in the shade of the tree filled back yard. The gas grill, just off the back deck, is available if you love to grill as much as we do. Enjoy the large firepit while relaxing with your family and friends.
Guest Access:
Guests at the Whistle Stop enjoy the contactless guest entry and large driveway with off-street parking for two vehicles.
Other Details To Note:
Fire pit ring and firewood in the backyard with folding lawn chairs located in the side storage closet - Cornhole boards (Bags) also located in this outside storage closet.
The exterior of the property is protected with two (2) Arlo security cameras that have motion activated flood lights, so you can feel safe and secure during your stay with us.
Please Note: Unauthorized guests are strictly prohibited and considered trespassing. A $250 fee applies for unregistered guests or exceeding max occupancy. No parties, events, or gatherings allowed—violations may result in immediate cancellation without refund. Please ensure your guest count is accurate and let us know of any changes.

-Place all dirty linens in baskets located in closets.
-Please ensure that HVAC is returned to 69 degrees during winter season and 74 degrees during summer season.
-The driveway has plenty of parking space for you and your guests.
-Any and all acts by guest(s) and/or its invitees, that result in damages to the property or its contents, whether such act was intentional or the result of negligence will allow the host and/or owner to deduct from the security deposit any and all cost incurred or to be incurred in returning the property or its contents to its original state and/or replace the item(s) as needed. Owner is not responsible for articles left in the premises. Guest(s) shall leave the property in neat and undamaged condition.
