The location is amazing, on the beach. The place has everything you need to enjoy the beach and your stay. The host was available, responsive and helpful!

We spent 3 nights at Vaiava Beach Cottage. Although it took us a few extra minutes to find it in the dark, our host Chatelaine was waiting for us when we pulled in. She gave us a quick tour and got us settled in. A nice surprise waiting in the fridge was 2 cold beers and a bag of chips which we enjoyed very much. Chatelaine’s cottage sits right on the beach and has a gated access (with a combination lock) that is only a 30 second walk to the ocean. The property also had a gate when we pulled in which we opened and closed using a remote control. This security made us feel safe during our stay. Our host lives immediately next door but gave us all the privacy we wanted. She has a beautiful German Shepherd named Patch who was very friendly but never ventured over to our cottage. Chatelaine was super gracious and extremely accommodating. Chatelaine gifted us a papaya and a couple of limes and advised us to squeeze the lime on the papaya. We followed her suggestion and continued to do this for the rest of our fresh fruit breakfasts. The beach in front of Chatelaine’s cottage is amazing with a direct view of Moorea. We watched several exquisite sunsets from the beach! Overall the cottage was exactly as advertised. We were quite happy with our 3 night stay. Thank you Chatelaine for being an awesome welcoming host. It made our stay quite memorable. Lance & Pam

Jacquline made out experience very special. She cares for the grounds, and is very helpful. Always available & very kind. It’s quite rustic, but I like the unique character, my husband not so much.

This became our little Surf Shack by the Sea

We stayed at this place for 5 days. It was PERFECT and everything we wanted to experience on our first stay in Tahiti. Located only about 30 min south of Papeete it was easy to get to. The grounds it is located on is BEAUTIFUL and very secure. This place is LITERALLY on the beach. It has a beautiful view from your Lanai or the yard. Your own private entrance directly to and from the water. The snorkeling and beach area right in front of you is amazing. The House itself has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The breeze keeps the place comfortable when you have all the doors open to allow it in. It has a small kitchen with everything you need to prepare your meals. The bathroom has a shower. There is a washing machine if you need to use it. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off after coming back from snorkeling or the beach. The bedroom is very quite and equipped with an air conditioner if you need it at night to cooler. IF we do come back to Tahiti we will definitely stay here again. We didnt want to leave.
