We take pride in providing an exceptional vacation experience and disagree with this guest. Our professionally decorated 4-bedroom, 4-bath home is one block from the ocean and features a heated saltwater pool, expansive furnished patio, fire pit, upgraded entertainment, premium A/C, electric reclining furniture, new appliances, and a paved three car driway. Despite expressing dissatisfaction, the guest declined our offer to leave at any time. Her complaints included a request for an additional 30 days at no charge. She also claimed there were no alternative accommodations, although VRBO offered options. Our property is professionally maintained, including more than 20 palm trees. Following an unusually severe winter freeze, we followed their specific advice not to remove damaged palm fronds until new growth emerged. We have maintained a monthly Orkin service agreement for over ten years, including preventative treatments, monitoring stations, and extensive exterior rodent exclusion completed by Orkin. During this stay, one palm rat was encountered. Orkin responded within 24 hours, added traps, and resolved the issue within 48 hours. This was an isolated incident, not an infestation. The guest contributed to this by refusing to allow access for routine backyard landscape and trap maintenance. This created overgrown foliage providing a habitat for wildlife. We stand behind the quality of our accommodations, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
