Sedona Escape: Charming Cottonwood Retreat

The Sedona/Verde Valley is an amazing Arizona location to experience all there is to do in Arizona. Our home will allow you and your family to enjoy a very peaceful and relaxing time. Situated on a large lot with a fenced backyard, split floor plan with fully functional kitchen and dining area. Sedona/Jerome/Wineries/Out of Africa/Verde Canyon Railroad/Verde River/Hiking...just to name a few things to do.

Comfortable 3BR/2BA split floor plan with dining area, kitchen and living room. Fenced backyard for your privacy, on a large lot with Mountain Views. Fully equipped kitchen with Keurig/drip & french press coffee options. For your convenience, we do provide shampoo/conditioner/soap/body wash and lotion. We also have a small kitchenette area that could be used as a home workspace as well and has a separate entrance. Just around the corner is the Verde Village Pond where you can fish or take a nice stroll around the pond.

We are centrally located in town and we highly recommend you enjoy beautiful Old Town Cottonwood for lots of dining and shopping options, or take a trip to Jerome or Sedona. Enjoy the outdoors at Dead Horse State Park or Sedona's Red Rock State Park. There are many Verde River access points nearby and you can rent kayak's and take a day trip on the river.

Area of single family homes with easy access to I-17, Hwy 260, State Route 89A and many area activities, shopping, hiking, and the Verde River. There is a community pond around the corner and access to the community clubhouse and pool.

You will need a vehicle for most travel. There is an Enterprise rental car location in Cottonwood. Groome Shuttle Service or Ace Express can provide shuttle service to the Phoenix Int'l Airport. There is a 2-car driveway - no on-street parking. Locally there is a few Lyft & Uber, and local taxi like (CK's Need a Lift or All Hours Transport). There is also a local shuttle service, CAT (Cottonwood Area Transit System) to get around Cottonwood and the Verde Lynx will go from Cottonwood to Sedona.

Super clean and cozy

Easy to find, and easy to access. The home was super clean and had all the necessities and then some! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If any questions needed to be answered Tahona was easy to reach and quickly to respond.

Wine time fun.

This was our first trip to Sedona. This house is in Cottonwood, just a short drive to Sedona. The house was clean and perfect for the 4 of us. Downtown Cottonwood is a nice place to visit as well.

A well equipped, attractive and comfortable home

The home is conveniently located in Cottonwood and close to Sedona. This home has one of the most equipped kitchens I have experienced. The host is easily accessible and very responsive. Highly recommend.

Wranglers Way

The house was very comfortable. It was nicely set up with bedrooms and baths at opposite ends. The kitchen had pretty much everything that was needed for a month-long stay. The location was convenient for shopping and eating in Cottonwood and was an easy 20-minute drive from Sedona. Tahona was very attentive and responded quickly to the few questions that we had about the property.

Great home in a great location

My parents came to visit and we stayed here with my 13 year old daughter for the weekend. It's in a great location that's an easy drive from Phoenix. Close to Jerome (about 20-25 minutes) and all the conveniences your need in town. The home was very clean and well equiped. We didn't cook any meals other than breakfast, but the kitchen is well stocked if we'd wanted to. Very nice quiet neighborhood. There are a few games to play (we didn't play any of them though), and smart TVs in the living room and 2 of the bedrooms. Check in/out was very easy, and no keys to worry about! I would definitely stay here again.

The 4C's. Cute, Cozy, Convenient, and Comfortable!

This spacious and nicely decorated home really provided a great home base for exploring the Sedona-Cottonwood area and beyond. The property while not large, felt spacious and allowed for privacy with bedrooms on both sides of the house as well as providing a great central gathering space in the middle. The kitchen is fabulously stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals including spices, staples, coffee, tea and even pancakes! Downtown Cottonwood is fun for a stroll and has several nice and lively restaurants. Also a small farmers market on Wednesday late afternoon. Dont miss Dead Horse Ranch State Park - great hiking. We would definitely return!

Incredibly well-stocked home!!

We have stayed in many short-term rentals over the years and Tahona's home is by far the most well-stocked of them all! I usually anticipate running to the store for extra toiletries, coffee or paper products. Not this time! Wranglers Roost had everything that we needed including a wonderful selection of coffee and tea. The home is very comfortable and centrally located for our travels need (Prescott, Jerome, Sedona and Old Cottonwood). Tahona was quick to respond when we had a little snafu with the door code (no big deal). I would definitely stay here again.

Steve is a native of the Verde Valley while Tahona is a 30 year transplant from Boston, MA originally. Together we have raised a family in the Verde Valley. We have both been very active in the community. We enjoy the outdoors, cooking and hanging with friends. We love to travel and often stay in short term rentals ourselves and enjoy seeing how other hosts share their spaces.

This property is so comfortable and welcoming for family and friends to enjoy. It's location is key to visiting the Verde Valley. We are located just 20 or so minutes to red rock country of Sedona, a short drive to the historic ghost town of Jerome as well as quick access to many of the local attractions, restaurants, wine tasting rooms and shopping. The Verde Valley has recently earned the highly acclaimed American Viticultural Area just like Napa Valley.

The Verde Valley being located right in the middle of the state, is just 1 hour south of Flagstaff and 2 hours north of Phoenix. The Grand Canyon is about 3 hours away. There are many lakes to visit including Lake Pleasant, Lake Mary and Lynx Lake, among others. There is the Verde River in the Verde Valley with many access points for swimming, fishing or kayaking. In Sedona, enjoy the popular Oak Creek in Oak Creek Canyon and spend the day hiking or swimming at Slide Rock State Park. This property is the perfect basecamp setp-up for your stay in the Verde Valley.

There is a multitude of activities to enjoy in the Verde Valley. Old Town Cottonwood is just a few minutes away where you can enjoy a ton of wine tasting rooms, shopping, and restaurants. Or visit the old ghost/mining town of Jerome only about 15 minutes away. There is also the Verde Canyon Railroad and Copper Museum in Clarkdale. Beautiful Red Rock Country, Sedona is just 20-25 minutes away where you can shop, eat, hike, go to the movies, as well as other entertainment and nightlife opportunities.
