Sturgis: 4-Bedroom Oasis with 3 King Beds in a Charming Neighborhood

Jon was a wonderful guest. He communicated very well during his arrival. We were very happy to host him. He treated our place with respect and left it very clean when he departed. We would host Jon again anytime.

Please read my other reviews. All my past reviews have been 5 Stars and no complaints. James is definitely trying to get a discounted stay on my behalf. Here is the my side of how things played out. The guest set his check in time on the day of booking at 11:00 pm. on august 7th. The house was ready by 7:30pm. So James saying he was homeless for 4 hours is not true. They arrived early and did not change their check in time. James's girlfriend called me on august 5th wanting to check in early, they arrived in town and were sleeping in tents. My house was booked by another group of people. So it was unavailable. James notified me the A/C was not working at 11:30 pm on august 9th. I contacted a service tech on the morning of august 10 to come check out the A/C but they were booked out and put me on waiting list. I have never had any guests complain about a urine smell in the basement. I asked James if it was ok to stop by the house and drop off a bottle of whiskey as a gift to enjoy during their stay and he said that was fine he would be back at the house in a little bit. So invasion of privacy is false. I checked both showers after they checked out and 1 did drain a little slow but was nothing like he describes as smelly and nasty water. I snaked the tub and ran Drano down the drain. He did not leave a JBL speaker in the house, if he did his friends must have grabbed it when they left. I proposed to give him $900 dollars back for the 1 day the A/C was out. He is now trying to get a charge back for the entire stay. VRBO is deciding how this will play out. I would not rent to James again. I am a good host and care about my guests that stay in my house. This was a bad situation. Please read all my other reviews. Thanks.
