Great Location with Big Sky’s

The property as a whole was pretty well looked after. The cottages were rustic and adequate for our needs. The kitchen area had all the equipment one would need but water for washing had to be brought in by a water container. We brought our own drinking water. The washrooms were close to the cottage and were adequate and clean. There were 2 showers. The picnic table was by the cottage and close to the water was a great place to hang out and have our meals. The cottage was easy to get to, well sign posted and very lose to Wiarton for shopping.

Very disappointed

The cabin was very dated and musty the floor slopped alot towards the water. The ad Appeared to have 2 separate bedrooms. All beds in 1 room. Appliances were dirty old and rusty. The outer washroom facility was very nice however only 1 clean tiolet. For the price i was extremely disappointed and i would not recommend this location.

Cabin was dingy and run down with an overbearing musty smell. The dish ware was dirty, the picnic table was rotted and replaced 5 days after we complained. Many promo pictures are from a different cabins. Filthy showers. We shortned our stay when one of us woke up with a rash. SKETCHY. Still waiting to hear from owner…

Pre-booked my stay through VRBO on April 6, even went so far as messaging back and forth with the host the day I made the booking. The booking payment was split in 2, with one portion being paid on April 6, and the second potion due on May 2. The host requested full payment for the second portion on April 30, and I paid it the same day. So by April 30 the entire reservation for May 16-18 had been paid in FULL. Even messaged the host the day of arrival, confirming check in instructions, was provided lockbox information and a cabin number. Fast forward to 30 minutes before our GPS says we should arrive, 4.5 hours into our drive, the host messaged me cancelling on the May 24 long weekend, while when we are less then half an hour away. The host initially tells me to reach out to VRBO and maybe they can help, but the refund won't even be processed for 15 days. The business owner tried to pass us off to a 'comparable accomodation'. We paid for 3 days in a lakeside private cabin, the comparable accomodation? His friends motel that looked straight out of a horror movie. In the end, the closest accomodation was 1.5 hours in the opposite direction at a Quality Inn that overlooked the highway that we were only able to book in through the assistance of a VRBO support manager that was amazing.TLDR: sure, book here if you want the business owner to tell you when you're almost there that he intentionally double booked, oh and enjoy paying for your new accommodations while you wait for you

Mes commentaires négatif sont tous à la base d’une mauvaise communication de l’hébergement. S’ils nous avait avertis nous aurions été mieux préparer. Je m’explique. Quelque jour avant le départ je regarder les photos et m’aperçoit qu’il n’y a pas de drap sur les lits. Je communique avec l’hôte et lui demande et me confirme que je dois apporter drap , oreiller et couverture . Ok une chance que j’ai demandé car ce n’était pas écrit . On arrive , personne pour recevoir et expliquer. On ne sait pas quel cabine on a. Les voisines communique avec l’hôte et nous donne les instructions. Nous aurions dû avoir un courriel … pas de courriel. Elles nous informent( les voisines) qu’il n’y a pas d’eau à l’intérieur et qu’on doit remplir un bidon pour avoir de l’eau. Et le robinet est trois cabines plus loin . L’eau sent le lac et est supposément potable. Il y a supposément le wifi mais notre cabine est trop loin de la réception donc ça arrive pas jusqu’à nous . Ce qui implique qu’on a pas de télé car elle fonctionne par internet. Les enfants se sont baigné dans le lac et sont ressortis avec des sangsues. J’ai oublié, l’échelle pour le lit deux étage n’est pas fixer et quelqu’un doit la tenir pour que l’autre monte ou descend…pour les douches on doit les prendre en maillot car pas de porte et nulle par pour accroché les vêtement. La cabine n’était pas toute jeune donc plancher croche mais pas très grave. par contre très tranquille et à 15-20 min de tout .

Was not 2 bedrooms too expensive

Well the property said it had two bedrooms and a barbeque and I Donely had one bedroom so that was quite a difference.

We have a terrible experience staying in cedar grove camp, the unit was so disgusting,lots of flies

Will not recommend this place, we are paying cleaning fee and when we check in the unit was so disgusting, flies all over and dirty.

Except the location of the cabin, nothing was right about it. Starting from checkin we had terrible experience. Our allocated cabin was occupied by some other family and when we tried to reach out to the owner he did not pick up. After discussing with the people in cabin we got to know they were given our cabin for some adjustment and we were not notified at all. We got the key of another room from that couple which is smaller in size and did not have curtains/ blinds. We got a message from the owner at night if we had got a room. He did not bother to call us. However, his partner came visit us next morning and apologized. Because of the location and the behavior of the partner we stayed back. The owner texted us and assured to readjust the fee and refund the money. However, after multiple text he completely ghosted us.
