Great views and location! Plenty of space for the kids. Kitchen could have used more supplies/dishes/cooking utensils. No fire pit was a bummer too.

Some of the sheets and blankets had stains. Had water coming from the upstairs bathroom after taking a shower. They were very responsive though once told about the leak. They had someone come look at it the morning after.

Family getaway

Family getaway and property was mostly good. The only issues were downstairs pullout couch had major urine stains and we were unable to use it. Fortunately for us we didn’t have to have it. The washer was also stuck on quick cycle and dryer took two to three attempts to dry a load of laundry. I did attempt to contact the owner and they did respond but we never saw anyone.

Beautiful

The area is beautiful. We loved the big windows and watched a storm while safely inside! Lots of cozy nooks (even for the kids). The pool was our biggest draw. Thanks for your hospitality.

Family trip

We traveled for our yearly family trip which also happen to be my mom's 60th birthday. There ending up being 7 of us including a 4 &10 year old and they're was something for everyone at the house. Though the pool was much smaller then expected the kids and my mom enjoy it daily while the rest of us were able to relax in the hot tub. Bed were comfortable, neighborhood drive up was beautiful. You don't have a direct veiw of much other then more houses up the mountain but a morning walk to watch the sunset was a pretty great way to start our day. Lots of tvs, a pool table and plenty of seating for the whole family. A better "game area" would be nice but we only used it one night anyway so it didn't matter too much. All bedrooms (minus master) are up a good flight of stairs and pool, pool table & hot tub are down a good flight of stairs so if you have older family or someone with bad knees/hips it might be a challenge. Otherwise, how was spotless, all amenities (minus a couple board games) were there and communication with host, company and cleaning crew when we left was beyond perfection. We did leave a Nintendo Switch upstairs charging in a bedroom which was weirdly "never found" but lesson learned for my nephew who forgot it. I would absolutely recommend this house! I personally would 100% rent again from him and the company but I would rather something with a little better view as that is my must have (my husband just wanted the hot tub lol).

Amazing Views

We had a great time at Big Pine Chalet. We had family ranging from age 3-60. Plenty of space. The views are beautiful! Check in was easy and communication was top notch! Just for reference, this cabin is just shy of 1 hour from Cades Cove and 25 minutes to Pigeon Forge Island and Dollywood!

The Trip Started Great - Ended Terrible

Everything was great when we booked, checked-in, and first arrived at the house. It sits in a beautiful mountain top neighborhood and the views are unbelievable. Unfortunately, 4 days into the trip we saw mice running around the basement. We could no longer use the pool, hot tub, pool table, and my 3 kids had to sleep on the floor in the upstairs bedrooms. When I contacted Grant he said someone would be out first thing the next morning. The maintenance person did not show up until 2pm the next afternoon. He put down a few traps and left. I contacted Grant about how he could/would compensate us for this major inconvenience. His exact statement was, "I'm sorry to hear about the mouse that was discovered in the basement. We regularly employ pest control measures, but unfortunately, it's challenging to prevent occasional encounters with critters, bears, and insects, especially in the mountains. As a result, I'm unable to provide a refund. However, as a returning guest, I'd be happy to offer you a discount should you choose to stay with us again." I found this to be COMPLETELY unacceptable. If we entered the house before 4pm or left after 10am, we would be fined. If we blocked the driveway, we would be fined, if we brought a pet, we would be fined. But having mice in the house and not being able to use 1/3 of the house is "just part of renting a house in the mountains." To say I am disappointed on how our trip ended and how Grant communicated with me is an understatement.

Big Pine

The house was very spacious and there was plenty of room to spread out. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also a good size. Most of the bedrooms did not have dressers, so we did have to live out of suitcases for the week. The kitchen was very limited on supplies..one large spoon and no oven mitt made it difficult to cook for a large family. Seating is also very limited in the family room. I believe there was seating for five but the cabin is advertised as accommodating 12. There is a great downstairs area with extra seating and a pool table. The view from the cabin is stunning!! We had problems with the pool and hot tub and the rental company was very responsive and arrived within 30 minutes. There was no routine maintenance on the pool (while we were there) without us calling, which I believe could have helped with some of the problems. The rental company also provided a pack and play and high chair when we requested it. Overall we had a nice stay.

Lovely home

The house is lovely and in great condition. We had plenty of room and enjoyed our time. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and some of the adults enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin was well stocked with towels. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and silverware, but lacked cooking utensils and storage containers. We cooked breakfast each morning and cooked out on the grill on two nights and definitely needed more utensils. Other than the pool table and a Jenga game, there were no other games in the game room. The kids didn't mind since they spent most of their time in the pool. Overall it was a wonderful stay!

Cabin was as described. Beautiful area and close to everything. Love the pool and the hot tub. Every bedroom had its own private bathroom which was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful scenery with gorgeous cabin

Loved staying here. Beautiful and spacious cabin. Loved the pool inside and the pool table and hot tub. Kids had a blast. My favorite was the beautiful views though when sitting on rocking chair on top deck. Highly recommend this cabin!!

Nothing short of amazing

Breathtaking views, beautiful craftsmanship….just amazing. So much to do you didn’t have to leave the cabin if you didn’t want to. My kids loved the pool and the game room. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful cabin!
