Bring the whole family to this spacious 2400 sq ft country cabin with lots of room for fun. The property is located .2 miles from the wide branch of Penns creek, an excellent trout stream for wild and stocked brown trout, as well as stocked rainbows. Also, perfect for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and tubing! Newly renovated cabin with large kitchen and plenty of nature attractions and adventures. New hot tub added to the property and is perfect for relaxing and unwinding from a busy work week! Close to Bucknell and Penn State University.

House is nice, however beds are hard and there are no shades on windows so be prepared to wake up early every morning with the sunlight coming in. Basketball has seen better days. Games in the house are not taken care of so bring your own. There is a very small stream of water in front of the house (so I would def not call it waterfront). The actual creek is 2 blocks away, right by penns creek campground. There is literally nothing to do in the area, be prepared to stay in and eat in because restaurants don't exist (bars with eating area that are only open to serve food till 9p).

Thank you for your feedback. While we respect that every guest may have different preferences, several points in this review are either subjective or were clearly explained prior to booking. Mattress comfort is largely personal preference. Many of our guests have actually complimented the beds, so this is not something that has been a common concern. The home does provide basketballs for guest use. If an item is ever worn or missing, we always encourage guests to contact us during their stay so we can replace it immediately. No message about this was received during the visit. Regarding the water feature, the listing accurately describes a small stream in front of the home, and clearly notes that Penns Creek is located approximately 0.2 miles down the road. This was also discussed and clarified prior to booking to ensure expectations were understood. The property is located in a quiet rural area, which is exactly what many guests seek when visiting the region. There are multiple restaurants and dining options within a short drive, though like many small-town establishments, some close earlier in the evening and do not serve food past 9 PM. We work hard to present the property and location honestly so guests can decide if it fits the type of experience they’re looking for.

Beautiful Cabin for nature lovers

We enjoyed this special cabin surrounded by nature and listening to all the different animals. The creek sounds were magical. There is everything you need here for an amazing relaxing time.

Great Location

Spent a few days fly fishing Penns, great central location to all the parking lots and a short walk down the street can put you on the water as well. Property is very clean, spacious, and in a tranquil area with very little road traffic. Will stay again.
